Moog Little Phatty ARE (Australian Redback Edition)

"The Little Phatty Australian Redback Edition is a specially designed for the Australian outback. Inspired by the Redback spider, it boasts a unique Redback colour scheme featuring Redback graphics, black side panels, flashing red pitch and mod wheels (synced to the LFO!) along with a custom red LCD and LEDs.
Good looks aren’t enough to survive in the Australian Outback. In addition to classic Moog sound and design, this Little Phatty features a powerful CV (Control Voltage) output section that transforms it into the heart of a portable modular synthesis system. Use it to control Moogerfoogers and other analog gear.

- Gate (O to +5V)
- Pitch (1 volt per octave)
- Volume Envelope (0 to 5 Volts)
- Filter Envelope (O to 5 Volts)
- Mod Bus (Variable)
Sculpt Pitch/Volume envelopes CVs on the front panel by tweaking attack, decay, sustain and release parameters.
Send the Mod Bus sources (Square, Triangle, Sawtooth, Ramp, sample & hold LFOs and Oscillator 2) to bring new life to other analog gear.
Use the Pitch CV output of an arpeggiating Little Phatty like an analog step-sequencer.
Combined with the standard Little Phatty CV inputs (Pitch, Volume, Filter and Gate), MIDI Clock Sync and MIDI-over-USB, the list of possible applications is as endless as your imagination.
To complete this special edition, each Little Phatty Australian Redback Edition is individually numbered 1- 200 making it an instant collector’s item.
"Australian artists and customers are a very passionate group, and have a huge appetite for synthesizers that inspire” said Lewis Chiodo, Company Director of Moog’s Australian distributor, Audio Chocolate. “Now, we have our very own special tribute to Australia. Australians, be proud of your part in the wonderful world of Moog.”
Visit the Audio Chocolate website to learn more."
KENTON PRO 2 DUAL MIDI TO CV & GATE CONVERTOR
"Kenton Pro 2 CV & GATE convertor in good condition.
The converter has two completely independent sections - one called Channel A and the other Channel B - do not confuse these with the MIDI channels - each of Channel A & B can be operated independently from any MIDI channel. Allowing you to control two synths at the same time through separate midi channels.
2 AUX ports for each channel allowing you to control particular modifications on vintage synth through automation.
Midi In,Out and Thru.
Now discontinued and rare - has been replaced by Kenton Pro 2000 which retails around £359 at places such as DV247.

KORG WAVESTATION - HQ SOUND DEMO - digital synthesizer 1990
YouTube via AnalogAudio1 | September 08, 2010
"The Korg Wavestation is a great synthesizer for fantastic digital pad sounds. It came out 1990 and was actually developed by people from Sequential Circuits for Korg. The Wavestation reminds me of the M1 (similar hardware and similar basic sound), I think the Wavestation is also perfect for people who love the M1 as a synth. The Wavestation delivers similar synth sounds - but in better quality. It also has the same filter without resonance. Despite of this, it can sound amazing.
It's definitely not a "Music Workstation".
Like on the Roland D-50, the Vector stick is very useful to vary the sounds a little bit. That's important, because editing sounds on the WS is not easy. All in all, a fantastic inspiring instrument. If I must choose between WS and D-50, I would vote for the WS.
Many people played the Wavestation: Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Michael Cretu (Enigma), Peter Oxendale, Jan Hammer, Tony Banks (Genesis)...
In the video I show you some of my favourite sounds. Enjoy!
I played the Wavestation without any additional effects or eq. All you hear is coming straight out of the Korg WS."

I have taken each channel and seperated them so you get a great stereo effect. The left channel has the square wave oscillators. The right channel has the triangle wave oscillator and the noise channel.

"Inspired by Giorgio Sancristoforo’s recent self-generating Buchla patch in the classic electronic music style, I put together this brief, modest etude. I’m always amazed by the delicacy, power, elegance, gnarl and grit of just two Buchla oscillators!

A couple of minor edits for better continuity and a bit of SoundToys echo/reverb.

MoogFest: Devo to receive Moog Innovation Award

AWARD TO BE PRESENTED AT MOOGFEST, OCTOBER 29-31 IN ASHEVILLE, NC
The Moog Innovation Award celebrates pioneering artists whose genre-defying work exemplifies the bold, innovative spirit of Bob Moog. Moog Music would like to congratulate DEVO on being the 2010 recipient of The Moog Innovation Award, to be presented to the band during MoogFest 2010 weekend, October 29-31 in Asheville, NC. As part of this award, Moog Music will present DEVO with a very special synthesizer, details of which will be revealed in the coming weeks. Past recipients of the previously titled Moog Award include Keith Emerson, Herb Deutsch, Gershon Kingsley, Jan Hammer and Bernie Worrell.
“MoogFest is about shunning limitations, opening your mind and rejoicing in what’s next. MoogFest is about celebrating the marriage of technology and art, fearlessly embracing the future while respecting the genre-definers of the past. That’s why we created the Moog Innovation Award, to celebrate artists that helped to catapult pop music into the future and commemorate those artists that boldly burst through established norms to pave the way forward. That’s the spirit of Bob Moog and that’s the essence of the Moog Innovation Award.
The first recipient of the Moog Innovation Award is DEVO and we feel that they are a perfect representation of innovative sound-sculpting and genre-defying electronic music. Like Bob Moog, DEVO enthusiastically charted their own course and thus dramatically affected pop culture because of it. Not to mention the fact that they used Moog instruments to create their inimitable sound. MoogFest and the Moog Innovation Award is the perfect way to pay homage to Bob Moog and his adopted hometown of Asheville, NC where he raised his kids, gave birth to some of his greatest inventions and where he re-established the company that bears his name and carries on his legacy, Moog Music.” – Emmy Parker, Moog Music
DEVO, along with many more internationally renowned performers known for pushing creativity towards new dimensions, will play MoogFest 2010, a three-day festival celebrating the innovative vision of Bob Moog. MoogFest 2010 tickets are on sale now. To purchase tickets and for more information, visit moogfest.com.

I crafted a new board, and with the later three capacitor design, which is more stable... After the design and photo exposure process, we etch the copper off of the board..." "Original box and manual. has a trigger in and a coord. in (which basically means a gate) The trigger in means you can trigger the drum pad from any kind of external input. the "gate" input means that you can "open the gate" of another sound using the envelope of the drum pad. pretty cool features for such a gadget!"
Folktek "Book of Sound"
"The Book of sound is a custom work in the filanthropoid series which includes such work as the bugs, the insectariums, the growling insect, the pendulum translator, the archnid, the octa-hedra. the transporter and many more.
These patchable works in the Filanthropoid series provide evan more possibilites than previous units. This Beauty has been hand-crafted with durability and ease of play in mind.
The sound produced by these monsters is phenomenal and continues to amaze us. It is a sonic symphony of nasty and grimey sweetness, endless layers of sound possibilities emenating from High quality OSC originally based on high tech speech synthesis. Seemingly randon bits, waves, hums, drones ,crackles, yips can be rediscovered time and again and then there are those moments you will most likely never rediscover.
This particular piece features four patchable knobs, two with common center points and a twelve point patchbay. This allows you to determine function and provides tons of flexibility. In addition, There's are two more knobs (global control and power kill), glowing lamp power indicator , 2 folktek button/switches for activate and freeze mode sections, light sensitive photo-control , reset, 1/4" output, built in battery pack, basic manual of function and layout.
You'll be able to cipher through waveforms and textures with extreme sensitivity in thousands of ways. Waveforms (individual, or multiple layers) can be captured and maintained, often intermodulating in beautiful and/or disturbing ways. Super sensitive knobs let you filter through tons of sounds and glitchscapes. Albums are waiting to be created here as the sound is quite different from anything else you'll find. A heavanly palette of glitchscapes await.
These works have a sound that no other sythesizer on the planet will produce. The synth design is controllable Chaos.
Constructed into a custom modified music book ."
