Type To Rhythm Machine Black Friday Livestream

Published on Nov 29, 2019 Perfect Circuit

"Type to Rhythm Machine is an interactive live stream that converts YouTube chat messages into musical patterns using synthesizers in our Burbank, CA showroom. Join in on the chat and watch as your messages turn into sound! Check out our Signal article about how to interact with the Type to Rhythm Machine: https://www.perfectcircuit.com/signal...

Type to Rhythm Machine uses a Moog Grandmother for basslines, a Behringer RD-8 for drums, Roland JU-06A for pads, an Erica Pico System III for leads, and a Make Noise Mimeophon for background ambience and sound effects. We're using some node.js tricks and Cycling '74's Max 8 to convert text into meaningful musical phrases, and SSL's SiX desktop console ties together all the sounds to send along to the stream.

Take a break from your Black Friday shopping and make some noise!

"For those who don’t know, these are functionally identical to the Juno 106 with the addition of built-in speakers and accompanying amplifiers. Also has a mix-in feature so one can run other devices through the onboard amp & speakers. To bypass the speakers for studio use, insert any 1/4” plug into the headphone jack."

Kurzweil V.A.S.T. Physical Modelling?

Published on Nov 29, 2019 cube48

"Hey, I'm crude boy and so is my physical modelling 'proof of concept' V.A.S.T. Program and lame A maj scale impro.
Layer generates bandpassed and shaped noise, modulated by MonoPressure, ModWheel and FUN. Pitch is achieved in FX section by series of '374 PitcherB' algorithms tuned with modulated Pitch by GKeyNum and PtchOffs by PWheel. At the end of FX chain body resonance is faked with adjusted '384 Woodenize' algorithm. It's crude string synthesis with a lot of noise artefacts, limited articulation (there's still plenty of room for improvement) but it's funny how V.A.S.T. can be bent.

PC3 Program can be downloaded here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/qqxxdzd25ix...

P.S.: Yes, there is no keybed on my PC3. It was simply interferring with Linnstrument too much so it's meticulously uninstalled, packed and safely stored :-)"

THREETOM modular / Steve's MS-22 Dual VCF / Envelope and sub modulation

Dreadbox Erebus V3 - 50 Custom Patches

Dreadbox Erebus 3 - "Floating Matter" - 50 Patches

"Several months ago we took the synth for a test and we fell in love with it immediately. So we decided to create the soundset to express our passion to Erebus.

The bank consists of 50 patches:
10 Bass
16 Leads
8 Pads
10 Plucks
6 Sequences

As the synth is fully analog, there’s no way to save timbres.
The only way to share the patches is a «classical» cookbook, a catalog with images of the patches.

Also, you get an audio file, demo for each patch, in order to listen to the way it should sound if the patch is recreated correctly.

Moreover each page of the catalog includes notes that help you to create the patch or give the ideas of how to tweak it after it’s done.

Each patch includes modulation via ModWheel.
This gives an opportunity to control expression of the timbre and morph the sound between different states.

The patches are of different level of complexity.

Some are quite simple, musical and suitable for many purposes.
Some are pretty tricky and will delight the experiments lovers.

The heart of the synth is its patchbay.
For creating different kind of timbres up to 6 patchcords were used.

Make sure you have at least 6 patchcords to recreate these patches."

Moog The Source Monophonic Analog Synthesizer Signed by Bob Moog! SN 3948

"I went to Berklee College of Music from 1995-99. This was the height of the analog synth resurgence, and there was a thriving market of classic analog synths in Boston. I picked this up from an independent dealer for about $500 if I remember correctly. It looks and works today as well as it did when I got it.

While at Berklee, I got to attend a small gathering of students and faculty to hear Bob Moog speak about his storied career. I had lugged the Source to the event, so when I got to meet him and chat afterwards, I asked him to sign it. He kind of chuckled but he accommodated my request. I know the Source was not one of his originals, but it had a special place in my heart from playing a friend’s while in high school, and it still had the Moog name."

"A rare chance to pick one of these up in full working order and backed by warranty.

Restored to a high standard a few years ago – this will ship following a full run-through by our head synth tech, James Walker. It is housed in a stunning custom-built walnut case that more than compliments this synth’s deserved status as a true classic. While the original restoration was performed to a very high standard, this synth will not leave us until James has been over it in detail and we are 100% happy to put our name (and warranty!) to it."

MacBeth M5N 65 Pound Analog Synthesizer

65 pound synth.

""An extremely rare chance to bid on a MacBeth M5N (less than 100 ever made) semi modular synthesiser designed by Ken MacBeth. This is the latest version of the M5 with the modded envelopes which are a lot "snappier" and the filters have been modded to improve S/N. Otherwise the M5N is just a new paintjob and and new slider caps. The sound of the MacBeth is just phenominal...from some of the videos and interviews on the web it seems that Ken took the best of his favourite synths (EMS VCS3, Arp 2600 and MiniMoog) and created a real analogue from scratch using discrete components (no chips) and to my ears this is a real success...its got the qualities of all of the synths which is weird as you end up saying things like "thin but warm", "fat and ethereal" which just doesnt make sense...until you hear the M5N.

Steel housing with three VCOs each with Subosc, Sync function and diverse Waveforms,
Ext. In,
Lag processor,
Two LFOs,
S&H,
24dB Filter,
12dB Filter,
VCA (x2),
Noise,
Ringmodulation,
panning module and diverse connection possibilities.
60 Dials and Switches,
minimum 62 partly self-switching patch sockets and more.
Internal Power supply is expected
Internal Spring Reverb
no midi."

This is made in EU, so is 230 volt, and needs transformer to operate in U.S..

Cannot ship this, it weighs over 65 pounds and is the largest synth in my collection. Pickup in North West Oregon or western Washington only!"

Mutable Instruments Ambika with 4 Extra Filter Cards

"Mutable Instruments Ambika in a custom black metal case. This is a Hybrid Digital/Analog 6 voice Poly Synth. The Analog filters installed in it (6x 4p) give it a very Juno like filter sound. I am also including 4 additional filter cards (2xSMR4, 2xSVF) in case you want to mix and match filters and of course the power supply. Fully functional and in great shape. This unit was originally built by a commercial shop in Chicago so you know its done right."
