M175 SYSTEM 100M Triple Resonator
Bringing the Lush 70's sound of Multiband Resonators to the System 100mIntroducing the new updated M175 Triple Resonator from RYK Modular.
Consisting of three resonant Band Pass Filters arranged in parallel, the M175 is great for adding some shape and character to a sound.
Use the triple peaks to add acoustic style resonant spikes, or modulate them to create dramatic phaser style swooshes and sweeps.
Or carefully tune the centre frequencies to create formant style vocal noises from waveforms with high harmonic content such as pulse waves.
The M175 contains three dual Vactrols to control the centre frequency of each resonator, which add a small amount of slew to the frequency modulation, famously associated with classic Buchla modules.
FEATURES
Three Vactrol controlled Band Pass Filters arranged in normalised parallel, or can be used as three separate filters.
Audio input signal is normalised to all three resonators, but can be overridden by inserting a jack into the resonators 1st inputs allow them to be used separately.
A mix output is available that sums the output of all three resonators, by inserting a jack into a resonators individual output overrides its output from the mix output.
Keyboard CV is supplied via the standard System 100m DIN connector, to the 1st modulation input of each resonator.
The 2nd input of the first resonator is normalised to each of the other two resonators
Authentic high quality reproduction of Roland System 100m panel, with 100m grey paint finish and 70's off white screen print.

New STG Soundlabs modules for St Patrick's Day!

The first is the new thing: the MooSonics Vanilla Envelope. It is a 1MU envelope generator and VCA based on a certain 1970s cream-coloured synthesiser. I have also settled on the knobs I'm going to use for this product line, kind of an MXR style. I think this looks better for these modules than the aluminum inlay knobs I use for the aluminum panel modules.

"The EHX Oceans 11 reverb is a much deeper, weirder and more interesting effects unit than you might expect. It's called a reverb pedal but can happily function as a multi-effects unit with excellent delay and tremolo and passable chorus and flanger. And various reverbs of course. Here I go through all the settings and options in detail and only repeat myself once or twice.
The pedal does has a reputation for complexity, but spend a mere hour here and you'll be completely at ease with all its functions and be suitably rewarded with a huge range of flavors. Don't judge it on a 30-second demo of hall and spring, that is a mere spec of its powers.
Despite the length of this video there are two little things I left out. Double-click the footswitch when in spring reverb mode to simulate "kicking the box" and hearing a little "doiing". And somewhat similarity, if you press and hold the footswitch (in most modes) the reverb will infinitely sustain.
Also be assured that when I say in the video about the green, red and orange LED colors that's what they actually are in reality. Unfortunately in the video they're almost completely washed out - my lighting skills and the idea that "I'd fix it in post" were both inadequate.

"This is a rare vintage all analog electric piano with a flexible built in analog drum machine, bass, chord and arpeggiator auto accompaniment.
I thoroughly cleaned this keyboard inside and out, and it is looking really good for 40+ years old! I repaired the audio output jack and cleaned the scratchy volume pot with DeoxIT. As best as I could, without a manual, I tested every function and Jack (except the DIN sync). Everything is in great working order! The C# and D# keys in the 5th octave are a little loose (they move a little more side-to-side than normal), but otherwise function just fine. The power plug has the ground prong removed.
This is from the era of the Juno 106 and shares many of the same parts like the enclosure and keybed (can be used to refurb a Juno keybed, side panels, some slider pots, etc...). It even has DIN sync to sync up to other Roland equipment like a TR-707 or a 606, etc... Great fun for 1st time piano learning and also for Roland collectors."

If you are reading this, you are probably aware, but I'll say anyway: as it's a fully-analog instrument, the oscillators do not track as well as DVCO-based synths I've had. I calibrated it once when I first received it, and I've been satisfied from then for my needs. Note though that I've never had any drift problems with them—once the machine has warmed up, you are rock solid.

"This is a vintage, Seiko DS 202 additive synthesizer with both the DS 310 and DS 320 attachments! Some friends had this in storage in the attic since the 80’s and gave it to us.
SEIKO's system was built around a 16 harmonic additive synthesis engine. The user can set any of 16 levels for creating the waveforms / sounds that could be played on the keyboard. The synth also features two envelopes and and LFO for shaping and modulation of the sounds.
Basic sounds (namely PIANO ORGAN HARPSICHORD FLUTE STRINGS ELECTRIC PIANO JAZZ ORGAN VIBRAPHONE CLARINET BRASS) are crystal-clear. They can be edited using the LPF filter, Envelope Selectors 1-4, 4 sounds that can be saved and two chorus effects. The delay (off, short or long) and sustain attack and release can be set using the ‘Time” sliders which happen to be very precise (values include 0, 0.01, 0.02 , 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 seconds). Every parameter can be set using the LCD screen, the 4 envelopes available can be visualized as well as the spectrum settings (over 16 harmonics)."
