Second time visiting the Industrial Music Electronics Piston Honda MK3, this time with an emphasis on the softer sounding things. This is a raw video with no prior knowledge of the wave banks, just an attempt to look at some of the various wave-sets with an emphasis on the unison voice features. VERY BORING.

Playing around with the presets, FM amount, and xyz axis of the Industrial Music Electronics Piston Honda MK3 for the first time. Sorry for the crappy cell phone video.
3. Harvestman Piston Honda MK2 Feedback
The Piston Honda MK2 being fed into it's FM input via VCA 1 of the Double Andore MK 2 a mix of it's own output, and the outputs of the Hertz Donut MK2 and both oscillators of the Kermit. Topped with some heavy verb.
Snappy, classically analog envelopes with visually intuitive controls. Add a powerful, cv controllable cyclical gate generator, integrated VCA, and trigger buttons —then double it—now you've got Tangrams.
Tangrams, like our Dual ADSR before it, is a dual analog core-envelope inspired by the Roland SH-101 / System 100m design with several enhancements. Taking further inspiration from trapezoidal function generators like the one on the EMS Synthi, we have added a voltage-controlled pulser circuit to link the triggering of two envelopes – allowing for delayed one-shots, cycling organic envelopes, and more. In addition, we’ve added two VCAs for level control of each envelope, or alternatively, direct injection of the signal you’d like to envelope – freeing up your other VCAs.
The Pulser
The Pulser can be thought of as a way to set both a gate ON time (T1) and an OFF time (T2). In this way, you could configure a cycling ADSR that has a gate time that is different from the interval between gates. Alternatively, you can create a sequence where ADSR2 is triggered by a delayed amount of time after ADSR1 is triggered (either cyclically or in a single shot sequence). The panel switches for routing or disabling the pulse sources allow for even more complex combinations of control beyond these examples. This special combination of functions can yield a plethora of interesting and organic envelope and gate patterns to be created; cyclical and single shot.
ADSR + VCA Features
Dual Analog ADSR envelopes with digital gate Pulser for trapezoid shapes Pulser stages P1 and P2 can be selectively routed to trigger each ADSR via panel switches Three timing ranges: (FAST: ~5 seconds, MED: ~35sec, SLOW: ~1min A/D times) Retrig input (allows re-triggering of the envelope if source gate held high) VCA input can be used to dynamically control the respective ADSR output level (bipolar) or to process signals to be modulated in amplitude by the ADSR. "The RK8 contains six bandpass filters, which use vacuum tubes. They are simple 'twin T' designs. Each filter is about one octave lower in range than the one to the left—treble on the left, bass on the right.
Each filter may be manually swept with its own separate tuning knob, over approximately one and one-half octaves. Or ALL the filters may be swept together, using either the 'MANUAL TUNE' knob, or the CV input, which overrides the knob when a patch cable is inserted. Although it is capable of some conventional swept-filter effects, the RK8 is more useful as a complex equalization system or for unique special effects.
Resonance is separately adjustable for each filter. Usually the treble filters will resonate strongly and oscillate under some settings. The bass filters might not. It’s a strange monster.
Inputs and outputs are compatible with all Eurorack and other modular synthesizer equipment. The output peak voltage is limited to the supply rails and can’t damage other modules.
Don’t assume you know what you are getting here—the RK8 is unlike anything else ever marketed. Also don’t expect it to track VCOs. Its voltage-to-frequency curve is 'more or less' hertz-per-volt but can’t really be guaranteed. The six vactrols in each RK8 were hand-matched, but can’t be expected to remain matched, or to track together perfectly.
Again, everything about the RK8 is abnormal. It is not perfectly 'clean' and perfectly 'distortionless', and it cannot be made so. Because it uses vacuum tubes.
It is something you have NEVER seen before. It can NOT be compared to any other product, ever made, PERIOD. Do not walk into this with 'preconceptions'.
Specs: 32HP width Eurorack module, with circuits protruding about 1.5″ or 38mm behind panel. The RK8 uses six 5702 subminiature pentodes, all Raytheon US military surplus from the 1980s. Power supply required is about 600 mA after warmup and 1.4 amps when started cold from +12v, and 10 mA from -12v. Low-cost power supplies are NOT recommended. A spare tube is included, although soldering equipment is needed to replace any of the tubes. They are run very conservatively and will last many, many years."
"Metasonix RK8 Filterwall prototype demo - video 1.
Modules used: Hexinverter Mutant BD9, Mutant Snare, WMD Crater and Kraken, Moog DFAM, and some live percussion samples from the 1010 music Bitbox.
This is an un-edited 13 minute session of experimentation with direct audio recording to showcase the tonality of the prototype as it processes these sounds. When audio stops and comes back in that is me bringing up a separate mixer channel of the raw audio unfiltered as a comparison, which is then muted out and the RK8 direct channel is brought back in."
"Some examples of the Metasonix RK8 Filterwall. First clip is of the Industrial Music Electronics Hertz Donut MK3 running through the Filterwall. Second clip is the Filterwall acting as a sine bank. Third clip is some bad drumbeat being processed through the Filterwall."

A very rhythmic and noizy night. The ASTROGENIC HALLUCINAUTING set was leaning into what I like to call Tek-Noiz. Not my usual sonic landscape of black ambient drone and noiz.
The noiz circuit consisted of: - Two Dirtywave M8 beasts - Polyend Play - BeniDub DS71 - Deaftone Audio MIKSHER - ERM Multiclock - Ciat-Lonbarde Peterlin - FaderFox PC12 - 1010 Music BlueBox - Korg KP3+"
"The coveted JUPITER-Xm is like having the entire Roland Boutique line inside of a Jupiter with battery and built in speakers... Add a beautiful, matching Gator gig bag that feels like it was DESIGNED specifically for this 5 part synth and you have everything you need. A match made in heaven!
You'll have all the drums, bass, chords, leads and sound effects you need because the JUPITER-Xm can do 5 separate patches at once using 256 note polyphony! Plus: an AI Arpeggiator? Really!? Insane!
Plus: it SOUNDS AMAZING. There's a reason people go wild for this thing. Go watch some videos and see for yourself."
"Trying out Walrus's new stereo reverb with some hardware synthesizers.
I recently purchased the Walrus Slöer and thought I'd try it with some hardware synths. The Slöer is an update to their Slö pedal, now with stereo input/output and a couple of new algorithms. I'm extremely impressed with the overall sound of it, and got lost in my explorations. It's got a particular texture and character that's unlike my other reverbs, and I can foresee myself using it for other ambient work in the near future. In fact, I wrote the start of a few songs while noodling with it!
There's about 90 minutes of footage, which is available for supporters of my Patreon, but I trimmed it down to about 15 minutes for YouTube. And for those of you who prefer my actual music performance videos, I've recorded a song with the Slöer and will release it in about a week, when I have a moment to get it in shape.
Thanks for listening, and I hope this is useful and musical.

Why TouchOSC?
- It’s OS agnostic (it works on MacOS, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android)
- Hexler has been around since 2007 and in my experience with TouchOSC, it has always been supporting the latest OS

The Verbos and Associates PROGRAMMABLE PULSER MODEL 243 was produced in very small quantities, and is quite rare. This Buchla format module creates pulses for rhythmic use and is fun to play with."
The synth was serviced a couple of years ago and has seen little use since while It stays covered in a clean studio. All buttons and display are new and the CEM 5530 chips which are known to fail have been replaced with the infamous Straylight Engineering clones. The 1.3 "Shalebridge" OS was installed and battery recently checked good at 3.05v. All keys, joystick, knobs, wheels, jacks work great. The aftertouch still works, which is rare for this model but you have to press with some force and the synth needs to be resting on a flat surface as recommended by Sequential. There are some blemishes on the side panels as seen in the image highlighted by the sunlight but in reality it's minor and the face/panel looks great. It's been very reliable for me over the years and is a pleasure to play. A power cord and manual are included plus an amazing 16 bank cart full of sound banks including all of the originals. Comes with a custom fit case that could use some new foam but will protect the synth as it will be carefully packed in the case and then boxed/packed again."
"This rare and stunningly gorgeous instrument is a limited edition (#211 out of 222) Vermona '14 Analogsynthesizer, hand-made in Germany by the venerable boutique company Vermona.
The '14 is extremely fun to play and it sounds absolutely beautiful. The build quality is unparalleled. I have never owned something that was built so lovingly. The blue finish with wood cheeks looks incredible in person and the encoders are rock solid and smooth as velvet.
It will come with its original box, dust cover, sustain pedal, power supply, and excellent user guide. I will take extreme care in packing and shipping it safely to you."
"Ok here we go for that proper demo of this pretty insane module.
It's a very powerfull digital module that manage to not fall into the trap of 'too many functions'.
Let's go for a night ride!"
"The Moog One is often considered a "king of polysynths" due to several factors that make it highly regarded among synthesizer enthusiasts, it clearly stands out due to its unparalleled sound quality, achieved through the use of analog circuitry and high-quality components. Its three discrete analog VCOs per voice, along with powerful filters and modulation options, enable a vast sonic potential, allowing musicians to create rich, expressive sounds across a wide range of genres. Its versatility and depth make it a highly coveted instrument among professional musicians and sound designers.
Moog One to me is a real king of the unique sonic landscapes. Through my sound design choices and experimentation, I created presets that explore new sonic territories, revisit the old ones and push the boundaries of what the Moog One can do. By combining different synthesis techniques, modulation routings, and unconventional settings, you can uncover unique and captivating sounds that are not typically found in factory presets.
I hope these distinctive sonic landscapes will make your feel special and will inspire you to compose more music.
Here are 59 custom presets and patches for the Moog One (many of the patches consist of more than one layer/timbral, so there's actually way more than 59)."
