Quick Test: Vermona meloDICER Playing A Mellotron M4000D
video upload by John L Rice
"I was asked months ago how well this would work and didn’t get around to trying it until now, and it works great ! 😎👍 Besides the meloDICER and M4000D there is some Roland Integra7 piano mixed in half way through and the usual effects (Strymon BigSky, Timeline, and Lexicon MX400)"
PERfourMER MKII Sync Session #1
video upload by vermonagear
"In this video, we’ll take a look at the PERfourMER MKII’s oscillator sync feature. This allows the VCOs to synchronize with the previous channel’s oscillator, creating sounds that can range from “cool and edgy” to “wake the neighbors.”
We’ve set up hard sync between the PERfourMER MKII’s channels one and two, and three and four. Only the synced channels (two and four) are in the spotlight here-their sync masters are quietly working hard in the background, like roadies at a rock concert.
We’ll run two simple MIDI sequences from **Logic Pro**, adding a little stock delay and reverb for flavor. First, you’ll hear channel two with a mellow triangle waveform, then channel four kicks in with a classic square wave-perfect for that sync sizzle. Finally, both channels join forces while we tweak a few knobs to keep things interesting."

CA Highway 29 Lakeport and Upper Lake
video upload by CatSynth TV
"We take a drive along California Highway 29 in Lake County. Highway 29 wraps around the western side of Clear Lake, and is a freeway through the city of Lakeport. We start a bit to the south of this freeway segment, at a junction with CA 175, and continue past the freeway segment to the terminus of CA 29 at CA 20 in the community of Upper Lake. Along the way we see the landscape of Clear Lake and the surrounding volcanic peaks.
Lakeport happens to be the home of Metasonix, so we feature our Metasonix modules heavily in the music, including the 'flute-like' melodic segments as well as many electronic and distortion effects throughout the video. We also use a 29edo (29 divisions of the octave) scale on the pitched instruments, for a unique sound.
Instruments used:

Xaoc Devices Lublin
video upload by Xaoc Devices
"Lublin [ˈlublin] is a dual, DC-coupled, high-quality VCA module with exponential control characteristics. It features a gain control circuit that prevents distortion from excessive amplification, which is common with traditional VCAs.
Besides audio and CV inputs, it features additional pinging inputs that use an elaborate analog circuit to model the dynamic behavior of vactrols, allowing you to trigger a carefully crafted gain response that mimics the natural decay of plucked and struck acoustic instruments.
Note that despite this emulation, Lublin is not a lowpass gate type module as it retains the full frequency bandwidth when reducing gain. Unlike many modules that use vactrols, Lublin's dynamic profile can be varied within a wide range.

Xaoc Devices Lublin: pinging for the new era, or strike your VCA!
They say you can never have too many VCAs. So we decided to make another one, actually two in one. After our modern classic that is Tallin, lauded for its inimitable saturation circuit, it's time for Lublin [ˈlublin]! Lublin is a high-quality dual VCA module with exponential CV inputs. On top of that, its two identical channels feature additional inputs for pinging. These inputs use an elaborate analog circuit to model the dynamic behavior of vactrols, allowing you to trigger a carefully crafted gain response that mimics the natural decay of plucked and struck acoustic instruments. Unlike lowpass gate modules though, Lublin reduces gain while retaining the full frequency bandwidth, so it is perfect for harmonically rich signals, like our Odessa additive VCO. The vactrol-like behavior is just a starting point as the envelope may be varied within a wide range using a switch (natural, shortened and prolonged response) and a potentiometer, so you are not stuck with one decay characteristic. Therefore, you can use it not only to create bongos, but also for fat compressed kicks! The built-in gain control circuit (saturating CV instead of the audio signal) prevents distortion from excessive amplification. Lublin is DC-coupled, so you can use it to process CV as well as audio signals.
Notable features:
- Dual Voltage-Controlled Amplifier
- High quality, low noise and distortion, DC-coupled signal path
- Ping inputs for emulating vactrol response
- Three variants of ping response
- Exponential CV response with adjustable sensitivity
- Gain limiting circuit for protection against signal clipping
- width 6HP
- depth 33mm (including cable bracket)
- +40mA/-20mA

Behringer MS-5 Patches: Lead Bass Pluck. No Talk Sound Demo
video upload by Anton Anru
"'Analog Essentials' is a collection of 50 patches for the analog synthesizer Behringer MS-5: 20 Leads, 15 Basses, 15 Plucks.
It includes famous sounds that are found in many electronic tracks, from vintage to modern, musical solo timbres; basses that will fit into any track or performance. Plucks are excellent for use with arpeggiators or sequencers.
🔮 The presets cover a wide sonic palette, including warm, noisy, detuned, distorted, as well as soft, clean, punchy, dark, bright, deep, and airy tones.
Some timbres are designed to take the lead in a track or jam session, while others work perfectly as complementary elements.
📥 Get the soundset: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/ms-5...
🎛 While the patches are ready to use as they are, I highly recommend tweaking the knobs during your performance to further develop the sound and enhance your creative experience.
🎼 The presets are suitable for a variety of genres, including: ambient, electronica, IDM, deep, techno, house, progressive, trance, lounge, downtempo, pop, chill out, new age, cinematic, breaks, jungle, drum and bass, dub and others.
📙 The soundset is presented in the form of PDF-Document. Each page contains notes that explain how the patch works, what parameters are worth tweaking during playback, and how to develop the timbre during a performance. If you make all the settings consciously and try the things mentioned in the notes, you will learn a lot about the synth and discover its true depth.
🎙 There are audio examples of all patches inside the folder with the soundset.

Like nearly all the high end vintage analog synths we sell, this item has been METICULOUSLY disassembled, cleaned inside and out, FULLY serviced by professionals who’ve been servicing and selling vintage synths for more than the last 3 decades, and systematically tested multiple times over a long period to ensure it’s working exactly as it should. No BS. No ebay surprises. We’re perfectionists and don’t cut corners. Although this instrument came to us in relatively good shape, we want our items to be better than the rest and invested *many* hours of tech time plus parts costs to fully overhaul this unit so it would be clean, working like new again and as reliable as possible for its next owner. This was a serious investment of time, love, and money, and was definitely worth the effort and is of course reflected in the higher than usual price. If you’re looking for a great sounding example of this model that works just like it should without needing to invest hundreds or thousands of dollars in tech fees and waiting from weeks to years, this one should make you very happy.

Written and performed by James Warren
Featured the Logan String Melody 2 analog string machine (1979) and the Yamaha Reface CP e-piano
This cover song series contains my own recreations of my favourite songs from the last 50 years. The original music from which I take inspiration belong to their respective owners. I recreate tracks only for personal passion and to pay homage to these tracks.
My intention is not to create covers that sound exactly like the original (if you want to hear identical sounds, please listen the original). It's more of an inspiration with my sounds from the old synthesizers from the past and of course the great appreciation for the original performers and producers."
