"I recently received a package straight from Greece with 4 modules by the brand Nekyia Circuits. The module selection is somewhat eclectic with for example a general purpose (but very versatile) multimode filter but also a leftfield take on the dual lfo trope and vactrol based (but active) modules.
We decided not to go for a regular demo, instead I'm just demonstrating a few patches where I used OBSIDIAN, ROOT LOCUS, CADENCE and MUZZLE in context, complete with a step by step explanation of what's happening.

"MMM VCF (M**g Multi Mode Voltage Controlled Filter) is a dual VCF having common controls for both parts. Thus it can be used as a stereo filter, or patched with different combinations of the available inputs/outputs. And all this functionality is packed in the compact 8 hp wide module.
MMM VCF has the famous transistor ladder core introduced by Bob Moog, but also features the added Band Pass and High Pass modes, not available in the original design. Those extra modes are greatly widen the possible spectral modification of the input sound.
The module was carefully designed to have vanishingly small noise and bleed.

"New! I am happy to announce the WARBL2, which is available as of May 2024 and has many new features and improvements while maintaining the original form factor (it is just 5 mm longer). Improvements include: BLE (wireless) MIDI, an inertial measurement unit (IMU: accelerometer and gyroscope), USB-C, an integrated bell sensor, an RGB LED, a faster ARM® Cortex® processor with much greater storage space, a secondary processor dedicated to reading the optical sensors, higher-resolution pressure-sensor readings, lower power consumption, drag-and-drop firmware upgrades, slightly larger toneholes, and the ability to customize fingering charts completely. "Just serviced vintage Korg Polyphonic Ensemble model PE-1000 available for sale, complete with the rare FK-4 Traveller Controller Pedal and glide switch. It's a fantastic sounding synthesizer and not the little brother of the PE-2000. It's sounding way better. This model was Korg's first polyphonic synthesizer and it has some cool features:
Octave coupler: adds another octave to the sound, the knob is a mixer. Will give a detuning of two oscillators depending on the 'pitch expand' knob in the next section.
Glide: actually it's a pitch bending knob. The middle position is pitch bend off.
Pitch expand: changes the tuning linearity, so that the pitch on the higher keyboard end goes a bit higher and the pitch on the lower keyboard part goes down. Together with the octave coupler this function creates the ensemble sound.
Traveller filter: with low / high pass filter resonance, soft function (adjusting the sound color), expand (adjusting the envelope modulation to the filter).
FK-4 pedal: gives the player the opportunity to change the filter setting while playing. This is a very useful option.
Cosmetically there are some signs of use, but the overall condition is excellent. Especially the Rolex has some signs of use, the octave coupler knob isn't original, and there is minor wear and tear on the keys and knobs. Please check all the photos before you purchase this synth.
