Melbourne's Synthtemple - 160+ playable synths, two studios, Atmos enabled, and available to hire!
video upload by mutech.media.australia
"Tony Osmond's Synthtemple is the ultimate destination for electronic musicians. This globally significant collection of more than 160 both genre-defining and rare synths is all patched and playable, enabling instant creativity. Its two studios, designed by acoustic engineers, are Atmos enabled, with top-end Genelec monitoring. Patching is both analog and digital, and recording via Logic or ProTools.
Highlights in the collection include the world's largest Roland 700 system, early Moog synths, rarities like the Buchla 406, three Yamaha CS-80s (and a DX1!) and much, much more.
Set in the inner-eastern suburb of Kew in Melbourne, Australia, and opening in early 2025, Synthtemple is set to be become a major international drawcard.
mutech.media's Paul Frech interviews owner and synth collector Tony Osmond about the collection, the studio, the long path to its creation, and what people can do with all this raw synth power!"
See the Synthtemple label below for more.
Meet POLYGENE by LA Priest

via LA Priest

Inspired by the earliest polysynths of the 1970s, it is fully polyphonic (all 24 notes can be played at the same time), can be tuned to any scale or tuning, is multi-timbral and completely touch sensitive.
Touching any part of the synthesizer bridges connections in the circuitry and creates a unique sound.
Every area of the instrument's gold plated circuitry can change its tone. At the top, oscillator transistors can be synchronised by touching them, while below there are 24 pressure sensitive polyphonic pads and at the bottom a 24 note keyboard triggers a more familiar polyphonic synthesizer voice.
All of these can be played simultaneously and there are many more effects of the circuitry to be discovered, as each of the traces react differently to the touch.
12 tuning controls allow you to tune the 12 pairs of oscillators to any scale, from a standard equal tuning to any microtonal, non-western or even unison tuning.
The bottom 3 oscillators can go into the sub-bass range and using the oscillator sync method of bridging the transistors by hand, the bass oscillators can play a wider range of notes.
By using transistors as the only active components in the instrument, each oscillator passes through only a handful of sound shaping components before reaching your ears. Instruments that rely heavily on transistors (like the Minimoog and EMS Synthi for example) are famous for their raw, untamed sound that has much to do with this circuit topology.
The synthesizer is built into a hand-made cedar wood case.
Power supply not included as power supplies vary a lot from country to country but power is standard 9v effects pedal type power. Use a good standard 9v power supply designed for effects pedals.

The clicking sounds are randomized using the @4msCompany Quad Clock Distributor and Monome White Whale."

This cover song series contains my own recreations of my favourite songs from the last 50 years. The original music from which I take inspiration belong to their respective owners. I recreate tracks only for personal passion and to pay homage to these tracks. My intention is not to create covers that sound exactly like the original (if you want to hear identical sounds, please listen the original). It's more of an inspiration with my sounds from the old synthesizers from the past and of course the great appreciation for the original performers and producers. Check out the original songs with the original artists here on YouTube. Thank you. RetroSound synthesizer demo videos since january 2007. Everything is free. PERfourMER MKII - Sync Session #2: Total Sync
video upload by vermonagear
"On most synthesizers with hard sync, all oscillators receive the same information via MIDI or, if available, from the internal keyboard.
The structure of the *PERfourMER MKII*, however, allows the oscillators to be hard-synced while each can play an individual sequence.
In this video, we send three different MIDI sequences to the PERfourMER MKII and play with different sync combinations. We added a little reverberation to each synthesizer channel and combined it with some rhythm, played with the *DRM1 MKIV*."
SILHOUETTE SPORT kickstarter demo - 19th december 2024
video upload by Pit Przygodda
"This video introduces the portable audiovisual synthesizer SILHOUETTE SPORT on occasion of its kickstarter campaign: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...
The SILHOUETTE SPORT is the new forthcoming synthesizer made by Pit Przygodda. It is the new sprout in the SILHOUETTE synthesizer family, joining the SILHOUETTE EINS. Infos: http://silhouette-synthesizer.de/
Enjoy! Join!"

The SILHOUETTE SPORT is an innovative audiovisual synthesizer that transforms visuals and motion to sound and rhythm. The interdisciplinary approach liberates the inherent connection between various senses and actions like seeing, moving and listening. To play along these intersections wakes basic intuitions and leads to a widespread field of cross-sensual beauty, poetry and joy.
The SPORT has a camera on board, and it is portable: Ready to search and find visuals in the outside world to play with - dance like. It can also load picture and movie files. The special 'Vimpler' ('visual sampler') function closes the audiovisual circuit: Incoming audio gets transformed to a picture, ready for artistic sound resynthesis.
The SILHOUETTE SPORT is invented and build by German musician and artist Pit Przygodda, and it is the new smaller-in-size-and-prize sprout in the SILHOUETTE synthesizer family and joins the bigger SILHOUETTE EINS (2021).
Technical Features
audiovisual sound synthesis ("Silhouette Synthesis")
visually created audio waves (timbres)
visually controlled sequences
motion transfer between visuals and sound
real time action
readable visual inputs: camera, picture and movie files
"Vimpler" function: audio-to-picture-to-audio

Xfer Serum Dark Industrial Noise Techno Presets No Talk demo
video upload by Anton Anru
"Xfer Serum - Technolize is a preset pack designed for atmospheric industrial, industrial techno, and noise genres. It draws inspiration from artists like Gesaffelstein, Mr. Oizo, Crystal Castles, Scorn, and Coil, who may not strictly represent the genre but contribute to a unique sound.
🌌 The result features rich and deep basses, immersive atmospheric pads, and metallic noisy leads, creating an interesting auditory experience. Many sounds are saturated with distortion, which is great for both aggressive sounds and noisy lo-fi.
📦 Get these presets: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/seru...
The bank includes 51 Presets: 17 Basses, 2 Drones, 7 Leads, 9 Pads, 11 Plucks, 3 Percs, 2 Synths.
👤 The author of the soundset is skendi (Arseniy Pushkov).
Whether you're producing techno, ambient, IDM, industrial, drum and bass, or any genre that demands a dark, moody aesthetic, these sounds will add depth and character to your music.
🎛 Macros can change tone, stereo width, modulation depth and rate, noise level, distortion, detuning, space/echo/reverb, effects mix, envelope parameters, and others.
You may control them via MIDI controller, use them for automation, or map the macros to your DAW modulators like LFO, Shaper, and others.
ModWheel adds expressiveness to the timbre.
💡 Ensure that you are using the latest plugin version. Version 1.368 or higher is required.
Installation: Open the Serum menu and click 'Show Serum Presets Folder.' You will see folders containing different Serum content. Open the 'Presets' folder and place the new bank of presets there.

If you already have the standard Korg and Moog offerings this synth will bridge the gap and give you a different playing field. It has 4 oscillators, can be duophonic, amplifiers can be overdriven if desired simply by cranking the osc volumes, has ring mod, 2 envelopes, tons of modulation capabilities, a super musical beast of a synth. I've had it for 25 years now, I'm going to regret it, but it's time to pass the torch."

Templo Devices T2 - Recreation of the Maestro G2 Guitar Synth Effects Pedal
Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
video upload by 60 Cycle Hum
"Back in the late 60's Maestro came out with a multi effects unit that was super weird. Fuzz, tremolo, envelope filter, low octave and even percussion settings all mashed together into a playing dynamic triggered, creativity inducing fever dream. Half a century later Templo has recreated that experience with pedalboard friendly modern convenience."
You can find some pics of the original G2 here.

"Templo Devices T2 Multi-Effect
Based on a classic coveted Maestro Rhythm N' Sound effect console from the 60's, this unit has kept the original analog flavor, while adding some much needed footswitch functionality.
Combining many unique effects in a handy, pedal-board friendly version, the Templo T2 has the following features:
PERCUSSION
-A percussion synthesizer with 4 different sounds that are triggered by the instrument attack
BASS STRINGS
- A sub-octave generator with quick decay on initial pick attack
FUZZ
- A fuzz effect with parallel dry-blend option (Natural Amp)
WOW WOW
- A triggered filter effect with two fixed (cocked wah) color tone positions
ECHO REPEAT
- A percussive tremolo that resets with each note played giving the illusion of a delay effect.
The main advantage to this unit over a vintage unit (besides availability and price) is the handy footswitching arrangement:
The CANCEL footswitch true-bypasses the entire pedal.
The FUZZ footswitch toggles the fuzz effect, and:
-When the fuzz is bypassed, the Natural Amp setting is always on.
-When fuzz is engaged, the Natural Amp rocker switch toggles a dry blend in parallel with the fuzz
The WOW footswitch bypasses the modulation section, comprising the WOW-WOW, ECHO REPEAT and COLOR TONES 1 and 2 effects. These can be selected for use with the rocker switches and then bypassed using the footswitch.
This pedal is very fun, funky and colorful, imparting a vintage, somewhat lofi vibe to your sonic signature.
The T2 operates on a standard 18V DC center negative power supply.
We recommend running it from a dedicated power supply, as it may sometimes have issues with a multi-output supply.
All analog construction, with mechanical true bypass switching."

Modular Sound Quality
video upload by Cinematic Laboratory
"It can be a real drag if you're starting with modular and get a noisy signal from your case, even when you don't run any sounds yet. It can be an even bigger drag if you still encounter these problems years later. It doesn't have to be just hum and interference, it can be your mains, too many USB loops on the same PC, etc. In most cases, these problems are about bad power and your modules may be in survival mode. And how about output modules? Does a cheap output sound worse compared to an expensive one?
I had no idea where to find the low hanging fruit in our quest for best possible sound quality."
