"Just messing around on the Dave Smith Instruments Mopho Keyboard and a microphone. The mic level was boosted FYI, not put directly in to the keyboard's input."

"I went to gamestop today and purchased a used ds-10 for $10 dollars hoping that someone would have saved something inside. the hunt was the thrill as there was 3 songs inside and they were...well watch and see."
"Percussionist Olof Olsson performs demoing an electronic percussion instrument designed and programmed by Palle Dahlstedt.
In this instrument, the musician navigates a huge space of possible sounds, through playing and listening. All pads play a single polyphonic sound engine, but each pad generates its own set of parameters. The size of the cluster of parameter sets can be varied, and the sounds of different pads can be blended, i.e., a pad has an effect also on the sound of the other pads. At any time, the whole cluster of sounds can be moved in any direction. When the musician presses a pedal switch, the cluster is moved towards the current sound, and then this subspace can be explored - so the sounds are changed through playing, and the timberal variation is virtually limitless.
This instrument is a percussion adaption of the vector mapping technique used in the instruments Palle Dahlstedt designed for duo pantoMorf.
The percussion pad is a DrumKAT, and the instrument is implemented in a Nord Modular G2.
This is part of the research project Creative Performance, directed by Palle Dahlstedt at the Department of Applied IT and the Academy of Music and Drama, University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Funded by the Swedish Research Council."

"It's not just for "cute" tunes. ;-) Running the output through the Kaoss Mini (to add more effects variation) on my custom Mantaray iPad "guitar frame". Note the technique of triggering the sequence manually using the play button, instead of leaving the "pulsar" on automatic. See my previous NotePlex video for an introduction to this interesting App."
"Here is a live improvisation I made. I use the JazzMutant Lemur to control the digital mixer that runs on my Sonic Core 18 DSP Scope PCI system. The level meters on the Lemur are controlled by a MIDI signal which is generated by a Scope Modular 4 patch that converts the level of the audio signal to a MIDI control change message. The Cubase arrangement is pretty empty with only one MIDI track which is controlling the JV-1080 pad sound. The rest of the sequence runs on the Nord Modular G2 and the Machinedrum. The drums from the Machinedrum run through my brand new T.C. Electronic FireworX which I bought three days ago. The FireworX is controlled by the Nocturn controller box. No softsynths or softeffects where used in this track, it's all hardware."
"The bluebox pocket synthesizer can also be used as a drum box, that can synthesize drum sounds that you simply can't make on any other drummachine. Unlike most synthesizers it can also process noise in all stages in the synthesis.

"Worked on this sporadically throughout the March break. The modular warps and attempts to drown out an eight second loop music recorded on an Akai Headrush with some live guitar sprinkled on top."

A2 is Clavinet A3 Low Strings etc. I wont list all the patches by name but most possibilities are well represented here. Organ , Brass , Resonance Sweeps , OBX Choir. You get the idea."
via the description: "These are the original Patch Sheets for documenting your sound settings on the ARP QUADRA. I sold this rare instrument years ago but found these in a box in the garage. They are in very good condition for their age. They do show light discoloration , and very light wear on the top sheet , but are well preserved. I counted around 12 + sheets but you could run off fresh copies if you need more. These would be impossible to find. I have never seen any for sale ."
"The Modular Music Box consists of several interconnected, plug-and-play devices that collectively reproduce the functionality of the familiar 19th century clockwork musical instrument. At the heart of the piece is a custom-made electro-magnetic rotary sequencer. Melodies are stored on a series of interchangeable, acrylic, 10" disks embedded with small magnets arranged in a regular circular grid. In the same way vinyl records are located on a turntable these disks are centered on a spindle and rotate over a 'play head' made up of a line of magnetic field sensors -- effectively replicating but superseding the set of pins on the revolving cylinder that pluck the tuned teeth of a steel comb in the traditional device. Additional units are 'daisy-chained' to each other via single cables and include a self contained and controllable sound source (to hear and effect the musical output) and an animated representation of a dancing ballerina automaton -- realised as a modern-day interpretation of the praxinoscope (the successor to the zoetrope -- the popular visual parlour toy of its era -- but which improved on it by replacing its narrow viewing slits with an inner circle of mirrors).
