Note the pieces are sewn together.
"After many years of being inspired by the idea of creating collages loosely based on the pop art idea of celebrating all the things you love, I found a way to do it without using glue! I started sewing them together. The collages are A5 in size and made with love."

So it's possible, if we get voltage ranges right."

As a company first instrument it had to be good (a hand-made by Quasimidi founders, much like Sequential instruments). It has excellent arpeggiator (with recordable MIDI output), two versatile effect processors and first of all its famous gringy and sparkling sound full of dymanics. Gorgeous techno-rave-electro machine, great also for any of modern industrial or gothic styles. Its also expandable with original Quasimidi boards such as T.R.E. (it can hold two expantion boards). - each track contains up to 100 patterns and each pattern can contain up to 100 steps
- steps can be 0-99 clock cycles in duration
- gates can be 0-99 clock cycles in duration
- CVs are chosen (indexed) from voltage tables of which there are 2 per track (A & B)
- built-in voltage tables: 12-tone equal tempered, 22 shrutis, linear 0-8V, exponential 0-8V, linear-exponential 0-8V and others
- voltage tables are user-editable and have 100 entries per table
- voltages between 0.000-8.192V at 2mV increments can be dialed in
- each track has its own adjustable loop points
- smoothing can be enabled for individual steps, entire patterns and/or entire tracks
- smoothed transitions are NOT simply slews but are adjusted to match the current tempo in real-time
- hold feature (complete double-buffering of device state) allows smooth musical edit-commit-at-will while the sequencer is running
- while in hold mode, committing changes to a running sequence can be either immediate or quantized to the beat
- reset can be either immediate or quantized to coincide to with the ending of the current track, pattern, or step
- stores up to 16 snapshots of the state of the entire device
- arbitrary insert/delete of patterns/steps with clipboard style copy/paste
- math button allows you to specify a mathematical operation to apply to a step, a pattern or a track.

"Among Yamaha's DX line of synthesizers, the DX1 is definitely the biggest. With a dual 6-operator digital FM engine, it's like two DX7's wrapped up in a wood-paneled case and comes with a truly professional weighted 73 note keyboard sensitive to both velocity and aftertouch. The DX7 style membrane buttons have been replaced by actual push-buttons, display screens and the overall layout of buttons and diagrams is nicer and better organized. Sound-wise, the DX1 is like a fatter DX7. It too features FM synthesis. That means that although the DX1 is a digital synthesizer, its sounds are unique and fresh with an analog/digital hybrid feel. Programming however, is not at all like analog synth programming. All DX series synths use FM synthesis. Fortunately the advanced DX1 has display screens that show amplitude modulation, envelopes, velocity, levels and de-tuning parameters unlike previous DX synths so you can better visualize what and how you are editing parameters. A neat new feature for the DX1 is that two patches (Channel A and B) can be used simultaneously with the keyboard in layer or split-mode. This mode is generally 16-voice polyphonic, but with just one patch loaded you can have 32 voices of thick polyphony! Pretty good for a synth over 15 years old!"

The latter seems captivated by this technological jewel at the pace of games, presented in a small suitcase in plastoc, with its keyboard surface touch blue and black, rotary bakelite buttons, switches its vivid color and its matrix of interconnections a "hit-cast." Despite his seemingly harmless it is quite daunting to program and especially generates sounds to you return the entrails. From pleasure.
In this short excerpt taken from the sumptuous Live at Pompeii (Director's Cut) Roger and David (Gilmour), evoke technologies, the development of music and opportunities offered by electronics.
