"In this demo, Patrick OBrien (Obrienmedia) walks us through the Clep Diaz and some of the great stuff you can do with it.

Clep Diaz is a handy and small step CV and LFO generator. In step and random modes, use the encoder to control the number of steps in the sequence; in LFO mode, the encoder controls the amplitude of the wave. Toggle the directionality of the sequence: up, down, or up/down to customize the CVs further. CD also gives CV control over the number of steps in the sequence and an end-of-cycle trigger output. Unipolar and bipolar outputs allow maximal control.

"After building my Buchla system and now my 73-75 Serge panels, I've been looking for a means to sequence the banana-laden synthesizers. After eyeing my SQ-1 sitting on the shelf, I decided to test out the voltages and see what is happening. To my pleasant surprise, the gate outputs on the SQ-1 are hot enough to trigger all my different Buchla modules. Although the SQ-1 only puts out v/oct and Hz/Volt and not 1.2v/oct, I still find it to be a useful module. Eventually I'll add a conversion board inside but, for now, it's great."

The Volca FM only has 3 note polyphony but you can still squeeze a lot out of that. Not being able to adjust velocity on individual notes is a big draw back though since FM patches can sound very different depending on the velocity level."

This is completely custom and is the only one ever produced as far as I'm aware.

Would fit wonderfully in a Buchla, or Serge rig that has an extra row. Its normal 19" rackmount size (84hp) so it fits in anywhere you need it.

If you're here, you probably know what this thing sounds like. It's a beast. Nothing else does what this thing can do. Consider pairing with your modular, to drive the VCO frequency, etc. It's a blast.

"The MicroComposer can accurately adjust various production elements and sound effects of a synthesizer, such as VCO, VCF and other voltage controlled components, which is almost impossible to perform manually by an interpreter. The MC-8 was designed to work with large complex modular synthesizers such as System 700 and System-100M. It could also be used during a live performance to control the lighting using preprogrammed and timed pulses and programmed and preprogrammed voltage levels.

Perfect for those who currently work and compose with analog synthesizers from the 70s.

While only 200 units were sold worldwide, the MC-8 was a revolutionary product. It provided storage for analog sound production variables, synchronization capability for multichannel recording (the time code could be recorded on a spare track), sufficient capacity to record complete compositions, editing capabilities and fast access time. The MC-8 provided eight control voltage outputs and eight gate outputs, as well as a six-bit multiplex output with a seventh special bit reserved for portamento control."

"The unit has the infamous red glue problem that has rendered the keys unplayable but this issue does not affect the module at all and as a sound source/module it works as intended. Cosmetically the synth is in very good condition as can be seen in the pictures and all the knobs/buttons/faders and functions work as they should (this can be seen in the demo video included with the listing)."

"In very good cosmetic condition and functioning well. Needs some expert attention. Keybed is great and keys are level. Felt is still good. All keys sound and all sample presets play. Some buttons and sliders need work. Volume slider doesn’t affect volume. It sounds like the potentiometer is stuck wide open. I am not proficient with this keyboard and can’t really say what it needs in total. It sounds awesome, though! Occasionally I have to do a soft reset to get the thing working. The locking collar on the power connection is missing but the plug seats firmly and won’t fall out. The keyboard weighs over 100 pounds without packing. I ran some figures on UPS and it looks like $300 to send it anywhere in the contiguous US. Another $100 to have it professionally packed."

Other modules used include the Erica Synths Black Hole DSP & Black Wavetable VCO, Mutable Instruments Clouds, Make Noise Morphagene, and the Intellijel Metropolis and Tetrapad. I'm also using the Empress Effects Echosystem (off screen) on the Morphagene.
