"As the title says, this is a new, reproduction Univox Mini-Korg badge. I needed some for a couple of Mini-Korgs I have that are being restored and have some leftover. This sale is just for the badge and not the actual synth. The back is self-adhesive, but you may need to add some wood glue depending on how the surface of your wood cabinet is. There is a protective layer of plastic on these you can peel off once the badge is set."
"A generative melodic project on the 5U modular synth. A pair of synthesizers.com Q960 step sequencers in 3rd row control of timing provide staggered phrases. Each phrase is independent clock though closely timed. The drift is important to the interaction. One phrase is eight steps and the other is five steps. A pair of LFO's set some switch modules to introduce a new loop point at random times, further diversifying the patterns. A random gate module from Yusynth (Yves Usson design) is employed to pick when auxiliary voices will sample from the step sequencers. The first sound is a single Q106 triangle wave to the Synthetic Sound Labs digital delay, STG Soundlabs Sea Devils filter and Oakley Sound Systems SV filter in high pass. It then is run through the SSL Tube VCA/Timbral Gate. The random gates module sets when a pitch is sampled from the Q960's. The second sound is the bass voice from the Dove Audio WTF vco into a Q150 Ladder Filter from Synthesizers.com. The same random gates module again selects when a voltage is picked from the Q960's. The third pair of melodic lines are a pair of STG oscillators through the tube vca again. This pair are following the Q960's exactly. A final voice is a Q106A vco with a PWM and triangle waves selected by the SSL Segwencer module before sending them to the Empress Reverb pedal. This time a pair of sequential switch outputs from the STG Switch determine which of the four outputs from the Q960's will send a voltage to a dotcom S&H then on to a Slew Generator. Final effects were a Behringer 3rd Dimension BBD-320, a chorus delay from the TC Electronic s D-Two and a Lexicon MX200 in hall reverb state."
"The Korg Delta released in 1979 has 2 sections. An analog section and string section. Is polyphonic with a joystick and 4 outputs plus headphone out. It also offered trigger out and in plus a VCF cv input. The user could send the strings and synth sections to separate amps or mixer channels."

"The SoundForce SFC-60 V3 is a boutique class-compliant USB-MIDI controller dedicated to the fantastic TAL-U-NO-LX Juno-60 emulation. The original SFC-60 was the first SoundForce product to come out. I have come a long way since 2014 and this new version is based on all the lessons learned from several years of designing and manufacturing similar products. With a solid sheet metal case, colorful front panel and new software integration, it's my favourite controller so far. It is usable with any MIDI-mappable software or hardware but has special integrations with the TAL-U-NO-LX.
Features:
In collaboration with Patrick from TAL, special features have been implemented to improve the user experience and the hardware/software integration. Finally, all the LED-based physical switches can update their states when a preset is changed in the plugin. Also when switching instances on different tracks, the plugin can sync the controller and update the switches as well. It works a bit differently in each DAW, more details and videos on that coming soon. For the sliders/faders, the pick-up or scaling modes (similar to the Takeover modes in Ableton Live) can help avoiding "jumping" parameters. Those features require the latest version of the plugin. I would like to thank Patrick for his time and his contribution on this project.
Build quality
The controller is assembled in The Netherlands with parts from Europe and Asia. The enclosure is made of 100% sheet metal and is manufactured by Grawart (http://www.grawart.pl). The case is made of bent steel and powder coated in black. The front panel is aluminum, also powder coated and screen printed with scratch-proof white, blue and red inks. Walnut wood side panels of 8mm thickness are fitted to both sides of the controller. The sides are made in Amsterdam by Rob Gould (http://www.gouldcaseworks.nl/).

"This is the first (quite dystopic) song with the Neuron VS. It's the software (VST) version of the Hartmann Neuron, a novel hardware synthesizer introduced in 2001 based on artificial neural networks used for sound synthesis. The software version of the instrument, was released in 2005.
I used for the recording the following FX chain:
Neuron VS - DigiTech Obscura - Pigtronix Echolution 2 Deluxe - GFI System Specular Reverb 2. Depending on the recorded track some FX are deactivated
The signal went through a Presonus StudioLive 16.0.2 into the PCfor recording. To create the complete song I recorded consecutively several stereo tracks. The final song was then mastered with a bit EQ and compression on some tracks and some limiting on the master track."

"Crumar Multiman string machine with separate outputs: strings are going through the Mu-Tron phaser, brass is going through the Maestro Rhythm Kings' modulation effect, an input in the back of the drum machine will chop up the input signal like a rhythmic tremolo.
From there is goes to the Maestro Universal Synthesizer (?) System, possibly the first multi-effect ever put on the market, triggering the envelope filter and possibly adding some phaser there as well...

How to use IO-Lights?

Light to MIDI:
In the center of IO-Lights is a high-resolution light sensor that measures brightness. Use your surrounding light or a light source of your choice and point it at IO-Lights to control your sound.

IO-Lights can not only control MIDI signals, but also visualize MIDI notes by the 12 LEDs on the product UI. Therefore simply send MIDI notes to IO-Lights. This is where the magic happens: the resulting light also influences the MIDI signals that IO-Lights emit. This creates a generative sound-light interaction.
Random Light:

"From the basement emerges a prickly friend to drone, squeal, sing, and sputter along with. The box is built on #ciatlonbarde’s Lil Sidrassi and Rollz paper circuits, with a set of switched capacitors that can take you from ultrasonic and sub-bass frequencies with the flick of a switch. Below the switches are the Rollz, rhythmic drivers that send electric impulses to the Lil Sid. When connected to the Rollz, the Sid’s five oscillators can respond regularly - giving you techno textures - or chaotic - producing ultrasonic guinea pig battle cries. Spike and circular node are conductive - use flesh, copper scrubbers, potatoes, or loose wire to complete the circuit. The more connections, the better!"
"Here is a very rare vintage glossy publicity photo for an early Moog synthesizer model. We don't know the exact origin of the photo—we found it among a bunch of 1960s promotional material. The print is 8" x 10" with some discreet wear at the bottom edge and at the corners. It would look great framed.

"This video is about basic Shuttle Control configuration with the endorphin.es/cargo website, but it's also about making music. In future episodes I'll cover the advanced stuff, but this video could be all you need to use your shuttle control with your DAW. In this 'showcase' I used two voices (midi channel 1 & 2) and a drum pattern (midi channel 10). This is the factory preset for the Arturia BSP, which also works very well for your DAW. I will also add three slow running LFO's because Grand Terminal only has two.
The video features 'Are Friends Electric?' from Tubeway Army, composed by Gary Numan. It's a song that can obviously be played on a modular and its also a personal tribute to Gary who made me fall in love with synthesizers when I was just a kid. It felt really good to 'cover' this one, but it also demonstrates the power of the Shuttle Control.
It was originally played on a Moog model D, so I used the sawtooth oscillators and the ladder filters for this patch. Queen of Pentacles is doing the beats."

"Experimenting with taking a couple of the most iconic EaganMatrix presets and modifying them to suit the needs of a particular piece - here Vivaldi, but the idea of starting with existing presets and modifying them is where you should begin your EaganMatrix study. Here the "Tin Whistle" preset is transposed down and octave and the delay lines returned to be best suited for a soprano/sopranino recorder. A bit of breath is added and the Y based octave shift is removed to make it easier to play as a recorder. The bass line takes the "VlnVlaVlcBass1" preset, removes the string noise to allow a second String Harman to be added a bit detuned and optionally shifted down an octave with added delay. The overall effect is to turn the original solo string sounding preset into a more orchestral version which sounds very nice in the low register. (Camtasia seems to have made the video a bit out of sync with the audio recording but you get the idea)."
