Akai Professional MPC-2000 x BlueSCSI

This one is in via supporting member, PlantsSystem:

"Akai Professional MPC-2000 x BlueSCSI

A modern upgrade that expands the possibilities of the classic MPC

The Akai Professional MPC-2000 is a representative sampler/sequencer of the 1990s, still beloved by many beatmakers today. BlueSCSI delivers a modern storage environment while retaining its robust operation and groove.

BlueSCSI emulates traditional SCSI hard disks and ZIP drives, allowing data to be handled using SD cards. By installing it internally or externally in the MPC-2000, you can enjoy the following benefits:

Stable storage environment: Safely and easily manage data using SD cards instead of HDDs and ZIP media, which are prone to failure.

High-speed access: Smooth sample loading and project saving.

Flexible operation: Easily exchange samples between your PC and SD cards.

Maintaining a classic operation feel: Enjoy a comfortable production environment without affecting the original workflow or sound quality.

With the introduction of BlueSCSI, the MPC-2000 is no longer just a vintage piece of equipment, but is now a ready-to-use tool in modern production environments. It's the perfect solution for those who want to maximize the appeal of the classic MPC while updating it for reliability and convenience."

Butterflies | Korg MS-20 and Polysix | Moog Matriarch | Solo Fantasia | Live Studio Performance

video upload by Dr. Synthy Pants

"‪@Fix_your_hearts_or_die‬
this is for you, the one who dreams in colors the rest of us are still learning to see. The one who pours himself out like water, nourishing everyone around him. Remember that the love beside you mirrors the beauty you seek in distant horizons, and the home you've built together is itself a manifestation as profound as any butterfly that crosses your path.
May this music be a reminder that you are not just a witness to magic—you are its author. The butterflies know this. And sometimes, the most beautiful thing you can create is space for yourself to simply be.

With love, in gratitude for the dreams you chase and the beauty you create."

Flanging & phasing feedback fun with Ubique from Manifold Research Centre

video upload by Signal Sounds

"In this video, Tom explores Ubique, a collaboration between Manifold Research Centre and Heretic Machines. It’s a 14HP Eurorack module that combines a BBD flanger and a transistor ladder 10-stage phaser. They have their own inputs and outputs, but the output of the flanger is also summed to the input of the phaser, and the output of the phaser can be fed back into the flanger via the feedback slider, so you can create an infinite loop of flanging and phasing.

Metro - Trance Jam - Circuit Tracks Only Live Performance

video upload by Yarune Music

"Experience a dawless trance jam created entirely on the Novation Circuit Tracks. This track, titled 'Metro', is a live jam inspired by the rhythm and atmosphere of the Amsterdam and Munich underground systems. Pulsing basslines and clubby trance grooves come together in this one-take performance — no DAW, no edits, just raw electronic music.

I love creating with the Circuit Tracks, letting ideas flow without a screen. This performance is part of my ongoing exploration of dawless production and live electronic jamming.

If you enjoy synth jams, hardware grooves, and live trance performances, hit like and subscribe — I'll promise to create more jams for you! 🎶

Thanks for listening and watching.

SOLTON POLYVOX K - 1983

This is the first comprehensive demonstration of the SOLTON POLYVOX ever made.
The reason this hasn't been done previously by anyone else is the insane rarity of the controller keyboard that unlocks all sections - SOLTON POLYVOX K.

We've only seen the controller keyboard in the wild twice and we managed to buy them both.
Are there any other ones out there?
Please light up the comment section if you have physically encountered another one - we'd love to hear about it.

Since this unicorn doesn't get captured very often we thought we owed the internet quality photos and an in-depth, technical video demonstration of its functions.

Before we start we'd like to say that one complete unit is up for sale - if you're interested please contact us via the email on our website - link below.

There are a lot of features here so we actually missed a few, so stay tuned for a Part II this fall or winter.

The video probably has the information you need but let's dive in to a basic rundown here just in case:

Roland Jupiter 6 61-Key Synthesizer w/ Wood Side Panels & Bass Mod

Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this Reverb listing

"A beautiful wild and unique synthesizer that is hard to come by these days!

This was recently serviced and given a general tune up and upgraded with walnut wooden side panels.

It has some cosmetic wear with some rough spots on the paint of the body and a small inward curve on the back panel but overall is in great condition for its age and functionality is flawless.

This also has had the Florian Anwander resonance mod done so that the bass doesn't fade with the resonance up making this an excellent bass synth with different resonance sequences."

Waldorf Microwave XT w/ Custom Black Overlay

Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this Reverb listing

"Ticks all the boxes - 30 voices, reskinned with striking black theme, extra overlay, upgraded Kilo knobs (currently $10 or more *each*), power supply.

Oh yeah, and it sounds amazing as well. If you're looking for an old school Waldorf wavetable sound, this is your best choice. Still classic sounding, but with a lot of modern touches.

Fits in a rack, looks great on a coffee table, can be safely lugged to gigs. I have 2 and still debate keeping this one."

Why Most People Use Sequencers Wrong (Do THIS Instead)

video upload by Anthony Marinelli Music

"Are you making this BIG sequencer mistake? Most people use sequencers to control pitch—but that’s not the only approach, especially if you want your synthesizer to sound alive and musical when spontaneously creating new music. In this video, I'll reveal one of my favorite sequencer tricks: using sequencers for accent and rhythm, while controlling pitch directly from the keyboard.

This technique lets you stay spontaneous with the notes and adds real-time surprises when creating songs or performing live (as opposed to working in a more controlled DAW enviornment). I'll wals you through the patch, gives step-by-step sequencer tips, and plays musical examples so you can hear exactly how it transforms a sequence into something dynamic and expressive.

✨ What you’ll learn in this video:
• How to use a sequencer for rhythm and accents instead of pitch
• Why controlling pitch on the keyboard in real-time can make your sequencer playing more musical
• Patch examples and live demonstrations on vintage synthesizers
• A mindset shift that will change how you think about sequencers forever"

"In this video I share a walkthrough and demo of Meta Module made by 4MS. MetaModule is a Eurorack module that can act as a virtual modular synth, letting you swap out different modules and build virtual patches that you can interact with using the front panel knobs.

I'll start with an overview of what Meta Module is and how it works, then I'll walk through two different ways of building patches using Meta Module (directly on the module itself and using VCV Rack on your computer), and I'll share multiple different use cases for which Meta Module can be especially helpful. I'll also share lots of demos, patches, and sounds along the way!"

Benge - Self-Playing Patches

video upload by Memetune Studio

"A new album of experimental modular synthesiser music by Benge

'This series of studies explores an idea that Benge has been working on over the past year or so, namely that of Cybersynthesis. This involves programming self-contained patches on various modular systems which, once set in motion, will produce dynamic, evolving soundscapes, sometimes purely abstract in nature, at other times veering towards the more melodious

Many different methods were deployed in the patches, depending on the system being used, but normally multiple sequencer and switching devices were combined to give varying degrees of control over long time periods, often without repetition

Other things like random control signals and semi-random events were combined with the sequencers and switching units to bring variation to the performances the machines were making'

"Reach for the Light" by Lisa Bella Donna | Moog Muse and "Mothership" Modular Mother-32 System

video upload by Moog Music

"Step into this fully immersive performance from master synthesist ‪@LisaBellaDonnaMusic‬, blending sounds from the Moog Muse with her expansive “Mothership” modular system. In “Reach for the Light,” Lisa translates themes of challenge, change, and transformation into sound—weaving live sequences, modulation, and cosmic textures into this inspiring piece of music.

Learn more about Moog Muse: https://www.moogmusic.com/synthesizer...
Learn more about the Moog Mother Ecosystem: https://www.moogmusic.com/synthesizer...

From Lisa:

'Reach for the Light' is a piece that I hope will inspire you to be creative in times of challenge and change. This was performed live on the Moog Muse and my “Mothership” while modulating the piece manually with a Moog Mother-32 bass sequence and percussion provided by a DFAM and Spectravox. The Spectravox is being triggered by a series of selected gates and envelopes. A series of other Mother-32 modules ornament the piece with contrapuntal stereo sequences and celestial FX. The Mother-32s also provide a wealth of voltage skew and attenuation to bring life and realism to envelopes, filters, and amplifiers of other components within the system.

Live effects include a Hologram Microcosm and studio effects include a Moog Delay, ClusterFlux Chorus, Moog Phaser, and Valhalla Reverb plugins.

Stay creative everyone!
~ Lisa Bella Donna"

Antonus 2600 DIY - Test Drive

video upload by Tumeni Knobs

"This is my Antonus 2600 - I just completed building it from the synthCube.com full DIY kit. It is a huge project! Working on it in my free time, it took six months for me to complete. But I'm sure a full-time builder could do it in a couple of weeks. I actually love that it took me this long. :-)

Anyway, since I first powered it up I have been testing, calibrating and starting to understand how it works, and yes, it deserves it's reputation as an awesome sounding and very flexible synthesizer.

This video is just me noodling on it using the Arturia KeyStep Pro with a sound/patch I really like. This is actually just one of its three oscillators, but I have the saw and square waves patched in. The other two oscillators are in LFO mode. The oscillator is using the ADSR envelope and the filter is using the AR envelope plus an LFO to modulate it - makes some interesting accents.

Effects are courtesy of the Fractal Audio VP4, which is an incredible pedal.

I thought adding some drums would give this more of a musical context, so I force-fit some patterns from EZ Drummer.

The opening groove is definitely reminiscent of Bluetech's Laika, from the Spacehop Chronicles album. It's intentional. :-) I really like his stuff! Go buy some at Bandcamp.

This signal path for this recording goes like this: 2600 into VP4 into iRig into iPhone. I then applied a little EQ in Studio One, just to trim out the extreme highs and lows - I did not use any compression on this.

Can't wait to make some "proper" music with this amazing synth.

Cheers!"

Brussels School Diaries, Day 5 : "Icy Nucleus" | original electronic music jam

video upload by No Lake

"This is the penultimate 'live' jam recorded for the incoming album. The other songs are already written as well, but they will be revealed on the final album. I will now start the long mix and mastering process and hope to release the album at the beginning of 2026, basically one year after my latest album “Speaking of Analog” that you welcomed in an incredible way!

So, what's the philosophy of this story compared to the previous one? Well, the idea is to step outside the 'ambient' framework to bring a slightly more "electro" touch, but without betraying my vision of electro-ambient. It won’t be EDM. An alternation of long, intoxicating pieces with shorter, more rhythmic ones like this one.
But in the end, all of this is just the continuation of a story that has brought me here with you."

Lofi Ambient w/ Double Looper and Sequenced DC Motor drone sound : Silent fall 2025-09-12 by atnr

video upload by atnr

"A piece created with ‪@KOMAelektronik‬ Field Kit, ‪@SequentialLLC‬ Prophet-10, and tape loops. Lo-fi ambient where the drone sound of a motor’s vibration—picked up with a guitar pickup—forms the foundation, while piano recordings on tape intertwine through two loopers.

A DC motor is connected to the Field Kit, with its rotation speed controlled via CV from the ‪@KORG_INC‬ SQ-1 to create pitch. The motor’s vibration is picked up with a guitar pickup and used as a drone sound, processed with reverb through ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ MOOD MKII.

The Prophet-10 is processed through LOSSY for a slightly lo-fi texture, with added reverb.

The ‪@WeAreRewind1‬ tape player contains an endless cassette with a three-minute piano performance recorded on it. While playing it back, loops are created and performed simultaneously using two loopers: the AKAI U400 and MICROCOSM."
