"After a bunch of you (rightly!) pointed out how much Vangelis relied on reverb, delay, and chorus, I went back in and rebuilt the atmosphere properly. This is the CS-80 as it was meant to be heard: huge, cinematic, and dripping in Blade Runner / Chariots energy.

In this video I play 8 classic Vangelis riffs on my original CS-80, matching both the synth tones and the iconic effects vibe as closely as possible."

"This is Quad Creek, a resonant modular synthesizer based around four band pass filters. It uses 4mm banana jacks for connections. There are three 3.5mm stereo outputs, one for the main mix and two for the Creeks. There are two 3.5mm stereo inputs, one for each set of Creeks. The unit runs off of a 2.1mm center positive 12V supply.
Cables and power supply not included.

ASSEMBLED UNIT INCLUDES:

"In this video, we create a track from scratch, finishing with a fully built-out song, utilising all of Launchkey’s creative features and the stock plugins available in Ableton Live Lite.

Starting with chords to establish the tone of the track, Rob uses Scale Mode and Chord Map to inspire melodic chord progressions. He progresses the track by adding the bass, then introduces the lead melody to work with and enhance the chords. Using performance modifiers, he transforms the chords by separating notes into melodic lines, while drums bring the track all together, with the help of Launchkey’s onboard Sequencer, making programming percussion easy. Rob also uses the Arpeggiator to create a melodic line that sits on top of the track.

Watch to the end of this video, where Rob performs live with Ableton’s clip launching, to arrange the elements in a live setting. He offers tips on performing and jamming live with Launchkey and Ableton, including using the encoders to adjust plugin parameters in real time and creating sweeping transitions that energise the arrangement.

Cut-up Drums & Synth Layers with Prophet-10 and OP-1 field | Solver 2025-11-20 by atnr

"This piece was created using the ‪@SequentialLLC‬ Prophet-10, ‪@teenageengineering‬ OP-1 field, and YAMAHA MOTIF-RACK ES.

It features cut-up drum patterns layered with synth harmonies and melodic lines.

On the Prophet-10, synth pads are performed and processed with reverb using the blueSky.

On the OP-1 field, recorded drum performances are sampled, rearranged, and played back as reconstructed patterns. The sequence is controlled via MIDI from Ableton Live. Used effects include the ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ MOOD MKII and the ‪@strymon‬ NIGHTSKY.

The bassline is generated using Omnisphere.

Melodies and additional parts are performed on the MOTIF-RACK ES, completing the arrangement."

Low Gain Live @ Twin City Synth Meet 11-16-25

"Live improvised performance for the Fall Edition of the Twin City Synth Meet in Minneapolis, MN. 4-5 voices on a 2 panel Low-Gain Electronics prototype 4U Modular system. 2 outputs from the modular one containing the 4-5 voices, the other as an "aux" send to the Fieldtone Box of Uncertainty. Aux 1 & 2 on mixer were Chase Bliss Mood MK2 (aux 1) and Endorphins Evil Pet (aux 2) (just used as simple reverb). Both stereo aux were returned on channels on the mixer. That's it!

DIY Solar Noise Synth

"Inspired by one of ‪@zurowetz‬ videos, I decided to make a simple DIY noise synth from a solar garden statue. I added an audio transformer to boost the signal and strip out the DC offset but it's a super easy build. You just need a jack, an audio transformer, a little bit of wire, and an animal statue.
