"MANIFOLD RESEARCH CENTRE ANTILOPE

Prance with glee through the wilds of experimental sound with Antilope from Manifold Research Centre, a filter-based drum and dynamics machine designed for creative rhythms and otherworldly sound design. Based around a dual pingable resonant filter, Antilope creates plucks, bongo slaps, and ghastly squeals galore, which can be further shaped through the onboard distortion and multi-FX feedback path. In classic MRC fashion, taking this distortion and FX loop to unique extremes via feedback enables a vast timbral range, transforming the sizzling filter timbres into new and mangled shapes.

To get these sounds moving and grooving, a three-channel pattern recorder is available for patching around to Antilope's filter, distortion, and FX parameters. This provides a highly intuitive and performable interface equally suited for on-stage skronking and studio experimentalism. Each recorder can be switched between stepped voltage sequences or morphable AD envelopes, enabling both rigid beat shifting and smooth timbral changes alike.

Naturally, Antilope's 3.5mm CV inputs and outputs readily integrate into a broader Eurorack environment, opening up even more uncharted paths for sonic exploration. Likewise, the addition of MIDI clock reset and synchronization connectivity enables use in hybrid set-ups and DAW-based artistry. Using its stereo line level input on the back of the device, external sounds can be processed through the filter directly or in conjunction with Antilopes broader workflow, extending the sound world within by infinite margin.

Thanks to its dedicated headphone output and USB-C power input, Antilope's characterful design is primed for portable interaction, imbuing any journey with captivating sound. With its focused yet flexible design that collapses and reinvents percussive processing in MRC style, Antilope from Manifold Research Centre is a fantastic beast sure to inspire your trips through the creative unknown.

https://herbs---stones.com/soft-memo/"

Soft Memo is a hybrid stereo multi effects desktop unit with eight digital CV controlled FX programs, two analogue feedback paths and two complex voltage-controlled LFOs.

It has patch points to integrate external synthesisers and sequencers and it is designed to creatively reshape your sounds with a menu-free hands-on approach.

You can create patches by connecting inputs and outputs with eurorack-standard 1/8" jacks.

All its inputs are protected from potentially dangerous voltages.

It generates (and reacts to) control voltages in the 0-5V range: when a CV signal is patched into an input, its knob becomes an attenuator for the incoming signal.

The patch points are visually divided between inputs and outputs: the inputs are placed in the middle of a white circle while the outputs are not.

Soft Memo is powered by a 9V center-negative (500 mA) power supply, the standard PSU used with most guitar pedals.

Features:

Eight FX programs

A total of 25 patch points

Two high gain preamps

Two feedback paths made of analog VCAs and resonant analog VCFs

Two complex voltage controlled LFOs with clock division and phase offset control

An envelope follower

A→B buttons to set how the two channels controls interact with each other"

Arturia sound design masterclass | 27 November 2025

video upload by Signal Sounds

"** Note: unfortunately, thanks to a corrupted SD card, we only have clean audio for the first 35 minutes or so of this session - it switches to the backup room mic for the remainder. Apologies for the drop in sound quality, hopefully it doesn't detract too much from the content! **

Our final in-store event of 2025 was a sound design masterclass from Arturia's Tom Lewis, who used a PolyBrute 12 to give a crash course in subtractive analogue synthesis and revealed some tips for creating pads, basses and leads on any polysynth.

The OXI Ecosystem in Motion: E16 + Coral Performance

video upload by OXI Instruments

"In this video we are using the OXI One MKII as the main sequencer while the E16 is mapped to multiple voices of Coral.
This setup turns the OXI ecosystem into a single, cohesive instrument—where sequencing, modulation, and hands-on performance live in the same space.
The One MKII handles the musical structure, while the E16 gives direct access to filters, levels, macros, and voice-shaping parameters on Coral.
The result is a fluid, expressive workflow where I can move between sections, reshape tones on the fly, and create evolving moments without leaving the performance.
If you’re exploring more dynamic, controller-driven ways to play your synths, this combination opens a completely new layer of possibilities.

Atari Punk Console : Granular Synthesis with the Atari Punk Console (APC) : Vaemi #clouds #fm #synth

video upload by Vaemi

"ENG

After running and filtering the output of the Atari Punk Console through an OTA filter, we continue processing the sound with granular synthesis. We combine the granular engine with a function generator, a random noise source, and an LFO to produce multiple random voltages, which we use to control various parameters of the granular structure. The VAEMI Analog Sequencer modulates the first oscillator of the Atari Punk Console—essentially controlling the fundamental frequency of the patch. The second oscillator is modulated by an LFO, creating arpeggio-like movements. The reverb algorithm is generated internally within the granular engine. Enjoy watching.

TR

Keyifli izlemeler."

Divergent Waves Sycamore & Oak Review

video upload by Molten Music Technology

"Sycamore is a two-channel melody maker that borrows from both the Turing Machine and an unfinished Mutable Instruments project to produce alarmingly engaging music. You can choose a scale and push notes about, add and remove notes, range up octaves, 'mutate' single notes or 'seed' entirely new ones. Oak provides some gate outputs and a load of extra control over the Sycamore. It's an absolute delight of a module. I'm using it in a very mellow way in this video but it can be anything you want."

This appears to be the first post to feature Oak.

"Oak is an expander to Sycamore which adds some useful features to the original module. Trigger outputs on every step, every note change, and at the start of each loop allow for creative patches that stay in time with the melody. Scale shuffle, previously only accessible via a long press on Sycamore, expands Sycamore with interesting patch-programmable quantization options.

The loop can be reset back to the first step after a trigger input or button press.

Sycamore’s four main parameters that control the loop - Shift, Quantize, Length, and Range - may also be locked at the press of a button."

Dreadbox Artemis sounds rather nice.

video upload by mylarmelodies

"This is a no-talking sound demo of the Dreadbox Artemis analog polysynth so you can hear it doing a range of things, without narration or external FX, coming up with track ideas. Drums come from the System 80 880, some sequences from Keystep MKII (and some sequences from Artemis' built-in sequencer - esp 23:14).

This demo was funded by the good people at Dreadbox - thanks for having me play your nice synth! As with all Dreadbox stuff I have tried, it feels and sounds great to me, and I hope that comes across here."
