"The Rainboard is an isomorphic musical keyboard with built in LEDs for rapid layout changing via the iOS app Musix and functions as a standard midi device so it can be hooked up with the synth of your choice. Richard Lainhart Memorial Tribute - Mar 4 on UStream
As most of you that come to the site know, Richard Lainhart passed away on December 30, 2011. He was often featured here on MATRIXSYNTH and was extremely respected in the synth community. His wife Caroline Meyers wrote in to let me know his memorial will be streamed on March 4th on Ustream here. I'll put another post up on March 4th, but do mark the date. "The event will include music, video, remembrances and a performance of one of Richard's last compositions -- a live improvisation by a dozen musicians while watching Richard's film 'History of the Future.'" From left to right- the micromac prototype that went to NAMM, the small Photon synth and the final pre-production micromac that is now final. I'll be using the ASR-10 below for sequencing and also an excellent TR808 drum section. The curious device is a wide ranging signal/function generator. This is used for modulation the filter on that final micromac!"

"This little experiment plays with 'polluting' arrays of pixels depending on the sound level coming in.
There is a feedback loop on the sound, and every time the sound gets looped, it's degraded to a much lower quality.
This was done as an exercise for the Generative Design class at CIID.dk.
