The insides of the Theremin is a Moog Etherwave, in a Paia Tmax case. I like that case a little better because you can put sheet music on top.
Also I am submitting this for the Moog Halloween Theremin Contest, please vote for her."
"San Francisco-based group Natasha and the Reject, comprised of singer Natasha Adorlee Johnson and producer Alan Aronoff, perform the groups original track, "Counting Stars" while demonstrating how the TouchOSC iPhone application can be used to control video and sound.
TouchOSC was used as wireless OSC to MIDI controller in conjunction with Ableton Live and Resolume VJ Software. Natasha altered and mixed the visuals and sound live using the TouchOSC application on the iPhone.
All aspects of the performance demonstration, including effected sound and video processing, were done live. The top right hand shot clarifies Natasha's actions on the iPhone to control the performance.

"Today was a fairly hectic day at the studio. We had to sort out a new ending for Tengils March as well as record a new version in a new key for a song called frihetssången (the freedom song). This film shows Matti recording the classic 3 violins sound on Mellotron 400 #1517. This sound was recorded by Harry Chamberlin in his bedroom using the old ladies from the church orchestra. This is probably nxt to the flutes the most recognized Mellotron sound.
This film was shot at the Roth Händle studio in Stockholm. This is where I record and produce albums, artists and bands For more information, blogs and booking of the studio please visit www.roth-handle.nu It hasnt been updated for ages but you might find some stuff of interest there. The studio started in 1998 in my apartment in Stockholm with a akai DPS-12 ( a12 track hard disc recorder). I then moved to a very small room at a abandoned shipyard at Finnboda in Stockholm.
Best regards and thanks for watching.
Mattias"

"The Night of the Unexpected is a one night festival in which the diversity and dynamics of the contemporary music practice are fully featured and explored. The format encompasses composed classical music, improvised music, pop music, electronic dance music and performances in which music is combined with visual arts are all included.
This year STEIM was involved in two acts: the installation work PulseFF by Jan-Bas Bollen was developed by Byungjun Kwon at STEIM, and the Nono piece Post-prae-ludium No.1 “per Donau” was rehearsed at the STEIM studios. As always STEIM contributed also with providing equipment.

"very rare Roland book set "The Synthesizer" - in 4 volumes - in near mint condition. This was a training manual of sorts for Roland products in the late 70's/early 80's. It includes information about how to use the 100m modular synthesizer, how to multitrack, use of effects, how to make certain synth sounds. Great resource for budding synthesists." via Rod
"A few years back I sold my WS-1 and started looking for an alternative to program my Roland CR-78. A guy in Czechoslovakia designed such a thing, and here it is. I bought one, and successfully used it to sync up and program my CR-78. I ended up finding another WS-1 later on, so this has been sitting in a box unused."
"This is the Cadillac and undisputed king of CV/GATE converters. I've used many different CV converters over the years and currently own 4 of these units. I've also owned an Encore Expressionist, Doepfer, and JL Cooper device and this unit blows them all away. The metal knob on the front makes it very easy to access the various parameters.

"extremely rare (as in hen's teeth rare) Roland MTR-100 Digital Cassette Backup unit for use with the Roland MC-4b MicroComposer. Without this unit, if you power down, you'll lose your MC-4b sequences. This unit allows you to save and load your patches at twice the speed using hard to find data cassettes (Roland recommends Maxell M-90 data cassettes). Fortunately, a number of years ago I sourced some new old stock cassettes and 20 of them are included with the MTR-100 in this auction (19 of them sealed). The MC-4b is the same sequencer Vince Clarke used on many of his earlier works with Erasure. Features: Double-speed backup of MC-4b sequencer data. You will need an MC-4b for this to work (or will have to upgrade your MC-4 to an MC-4b) since only the MC-4b has the add-on board and interface jack that allows you to interface with this unit." via Rob
via these auctions (note there are three listings) "Roland OP-8m CV/GATE interface for use with the Roland MC-4 MicroComposer or other analog sequencer using CV/GATE jacks. Features: This is not a MIDI to CV/GATE converter. It works the other way around. This takes a CV or GATE signal and converts it to either DCB or MIDI note data. This is a very rare unit. This unit will allow you to take the output from an analog sequencer and sequence MIDI synths, or record your analog sequences into a hardware or computer sequencer. And it does it very well, better than any similar device I've tried. Of course it also works with the MC-4 Microcomposer, allowing you to sequence MIDI or DCB (Juno-60 or Jupiter-8) synthesizers instead of just CV/GATE synths - and all with very tight timing and no lag as in typical MIDI sequencers." via Rod.
"Roland MC-4B MicroComposer Digital sequencer for controlling analog or modular synths directly using CV/GATE jacks. It is in museum-quality condition with the original box and manual. This is the same sequencer Vince Clarke used on many of his earlier works with Erasure. Also used by Martin Rushent on Human League's Dare! album. If you Google it, you'll probably find my website near the top of the list, because my site has been the main source of MC-4b information on the net for the past 10 years or so."

"complete fully functioning early 80's DK Synergy system. It includes 5 cartridges, two Kaypro computers (one as a back up), and all the software you will need. It has also had a midi upgrade... It comes with 5 cartridges so hooking up the kaypro is not essential to discover all of the unique sounds this beast has on offer. It can go from the sound of an angel's harp to the sound of dump truck driving through a nitroglycerin plant. It has a very diverse tone pallet and a great analog digital hybrid feel." Note the Carlos cartridge. Wendy Carlos used the DK Synergy. You can find a little more info in these posts.

"The PE-2000 was a professional synthesizer when it came out in the 70's and was widely used by the pioneers of 70's electronic music. For a sample of the sounds of this amazing synth listen to late 70's Vangelis or Tangerine Dream especially on the "Thief" soundtrack. This is Korg's second production synthesizer and truely prehistoric when it comes to synthesizers. This was Korg's attempt to get full polyphony in a synthesizer. It has three oscillators per voice and sounds monstrous. Here is a sound sample of the string patch http://www.till-kopper.de/korg-pe2000/Strings.mp3 (note this is Till Kopper's site) Here is a youtube video featuring Tangerine Dream using the PE-2000 to good effect: [below]. Also JM Jarre's Equinox Part 8 is nearly all done on a PE-2000. This keyboard is massive and heavy! It's about the size of a marshall 2x12 combo amplifier, but no need to worry because the shipping is free!"
Here's a hot new sound for the 1970s, straight from New York City! Mesmerizing musical kaleidoscopes throb from East Village loft windows and trendy art gallery doors, where less is definitely more More MORE! And you can be right there on the scene with the new Optigan Minimalism program disc!
Your left hand conducts a tight ensemble of organ, flute, saxophones and bass clarinet- pulsing bass on the special effect tabs, and whirling arpeggios on the chord buttons. Your right hand plays vocal solfege melodies, sung for you by none other than Tara Busch of AnalogSuicide.com!
So fill up your glass and take a deep, satisfying gulp from the sonic ocean of Minimalism!
Performance Notes:
The Optigan Minimalism program disc was arranged specifically to allow for a large variety of extended harmonies by pressing two or more chord buttons simultaneously. For instance, holding down C Maj and E Min will produce a C Maj7 chord. G Maj and D Min combined will produce a G9 chord. Also, since the basslines on the special effects tabs contain no thirds, they can be used equally well in major or minor keys. Let your own imagination be your guide, and make your own kind of music!
Music arrangement and production by Pea Hicks Vocal solfege scale sung and recorded by Tara Busch Disc creation software, disc production cover artwork and jacket layout by Robert Becker
Rhythms: 4/4 LEFT HAND: Electric organ, flute, saxophones, bass clarinet. RIGHT HAND: Female vocal solfege. SPECIAL EFFECTS SWITCHES: 1. Bb Bass 2. F Bass 3. C Bass 4. G Bass 5. D Bass."

"This crystal radio in a jam jar is able to receive a computer screen-saver, and respond with rich real-time sound effects!
The Spooky Tesla Spirit Radio's sensitive antennas pick up on the RF emanations of the screen. The crystal circuit delivers the audio signal to the computer, where software Audio Hijack Pro increases gain and alters the pitch in real time.
This screensaver example shows a journey across Hyperspace and back through wormholes. All sounds are generated in real-time by the radio.
The Spooky Tesla Spirit Radio was a recent winner of the monthly Gadget Freak award by Design News, the oldest engineering news magazine.
The real inspiration for the Spooky Tesla Spirit Radio comes from the BetaBlocker line of spirit radios made by EJ Gold and found at http://www.yoyodyneindustries.com
"Mrfixitrick shows a series of seven experiments with his Spooky Tesla Spirit Radio, a non-powered crystal radio circuit built in a jam-jar.
This simple crystal radio shows abilities such as: detecting lightning, making voice phenomena, interacting with all forms of light, creating music and sound effects, reading a computer screen, acting as a mike, and detecting RF pulses. In that order!
The Spooky Tesla Spirit Radio is plugged directly into the iMac computer sound-in port. Audio Hijack Pro software provides the gain and real time sound effects based on the radio's input.
The radio's antennas are inspired by Tesla's higher voltage examples, and its basic LC circuit is similar to Tesla's original inductor coil and capacitor circuit schematics."

Each of the 5 channels are the same with the following sound shaping parameters, sensitivity, osc decay, noise decay, sweep, pitch, osc/noise balance, click sound on/off, pan, volume. The trigger inputs can be triggered by pretty much any audio input, you can also chain channels together by running the out into the in of another to thicken the sound. Comes with the original box, instruction sheet, and 5 colored trigger cables. A nice collector's piece for those into the old school analog drum modules.
