People often talk about a "desert-island synth". Well, I got myself into a desert-island synth situation by spending the winter months in sunny Mexico, far away from my studio. Out of all my synths I had to choose only one to take with me, and I ended up picking the DeepMind for various reasons - It's reasonably portable, very flexible and yes, deep. Also, with the nice keybed, full-size keys and aftertouch, it doubles as a pretty good midi controller.

"We discovered this Roland SH-101 Synthesizer in the attic of a relative who passed away. It's in the original box with the original packaging. Included is the SH-101 Synthesizer, handle/controller, strap, manual, plug adapters, and the original batteries (no power supply). Play tested for functionality - turns on and makes sounds.
This collectible Roland synthesizer is in nearly new condition. It has one small mark next to the Roland logo as indicated in the photo. The relative couldn't play keyboard so we're convinced he bought it on a lark and got bored with it in short order.

I hooked it up, turned it on with new batteries and it makes sounds. I'm a guitarist so I'm not familiar with the controls."

"This is a ONE OWNER instrument. I bought this new in 1979, and it has never been taken out of the home (non smoking home) except when I moved from So Cal to the PNW. Other than being dusty when I brought it out of the closet, I did give it a good wipe down, and it is in fantastic condition. In picture #4, the "release" slider is slightly bent, not broken, and it, as with all sliders and knobs, work great. I DID spray contact cleaner in all sliders, plugged it in, and all works just fine. I will say that when testing all the keys, SOMETIMES I would hear a "scratchy" sound, then when key was depressed again, no scratchiness, so I would think that after 40 years, this was a contact point getting the "cobwebs" out. :)"

"A basic function demo of the 1975 Syntorchestra. For the three years I’ve owned it, this machine has been excellent. But recently, the E’s have stopped working on the poly section. Still sounds absolutely electric and singular and wild. Recorded into Cubase with a small amount of delay (DL4) and reverb (miniverb ii). No EQ, compression, or limiting."

Excellent synths that failed to impress the world at the time where everyone wanted digital synths and samplers.
The 5 octave Alpha Juno 2 with velocity and after touch is still my fav master keyboard and I love it dearly.

"This was a real highlight of the NAMM 2019 footage (I wasn't there personally) and just the thought of a triple oscillator from Dave Rossum (previously of E-Mu, now Rossum Electro-Music) is enough to be excited about. Trident brings in "zing" modulation which is ring modulation with in sync (that's the key for musical / harmonious tones and less so clangorous ones) oscillators, symmetry and phase modulation options and plenty of control and CV inputs to really animate things. So this was the first patch I made when it when into the case and I just wanted to share that right away to show off some of the raw tones and some patches ideas with dual layer LPG control and a little pepper of FX in the background. Full demo coming around the release."

The module has two channels, the integer number of volts from -2 to +2; a three-position toggle switch that shifts the quantizer boundaries up or down by a volt; and a precision adder (with optional subtraction function).possibilities really open up. An LFO into the quantified input.Combining the two channels, with or without other utility modules, allows more complex melody-shifting effects.
