It has lots of connectivity with multiple midi ports two channels of CV/gate and analog clock as well as din sync. The sequencer tracks are easy to program in real time or step sequencer style and can have independent lengths and running directions. The Squid can go much deeper than just note and gate sequencing with time modulated sequences and CC controls over synthesizer parameters.

Dannysound Timbre // Buchla 259 inspired wavefolder in Eurorack

Published on Jul 19, 2019 DivKidVideo

"Here we have the new Timbre from Dannysound. It’s a 6HP Eurorack wavefolder inspired by the Buchla 259. There's bags of character and tone and plenty of options for modulation. We can control wavefolding manually and with CV (with attenuverter), the input section has a crossfade between two inputs, we can move the symmetry of the wave and blend between dry and wet (both with CV too). In the video I aim to demonstrate not only the module but the wide range of potential uses for creating compression like FX, soft clipping and folding FX, processing CV and of course making complex oscillator tones. Leave a comment with any questions and thanks for watching.

Timbre is available exclusive through Thonk, for more info head here -

** THIS VIDEO WAS SPONSORED BY THONK. By working together they have received this demo video. This isn’t a review, but an overview / demo. Thonk also had no control over content with what I said, presented or chose to patch. Any questions please ask. **"

The Timbre is 6HP Eurorack module based on the wavefolder section of the Buchla 259 oscillator as implemented in the Music Easel. The wavefolder adds extra harmonics to input signals that have low harmonic content to creating rich and interesting timbres. Typical input sources to use would be Sine and Triangle waves but you are welcome to try other sources as well! The Dannysound Timbre adds an extra input to the Buchla design to allow 2 oscillators to drive the wavefolder simultaneously – this dramatically increases the range of possible tones that can be generated and allows the folder to go wild!

Osc1 / Osc2 Mix – Adjusts mix between oscillator 1 and 2 inputs, also acts as an attenuator if only one of the inputs is used.
Timbre Control – Adjusts the overall wavefold amount.
Timbre CV – Bipolar (attenuverter) controls the Timbre CV input.
Symmetry – Adds an offset to the input so the top half of the wave starts folding earlier.
Blend – Mixes between the clean and effected sound.

"I've been getting into the Formant Modular today. I recently built a new cabinet for my modules and had them all refurbished, and they sound great. This is a really interesting system, and sounds like nothing else, mainly due to the way it distorts and all melds together. I think its because there are loads of really cool 1970s components inside it!"

hammondeggs Prologue & Minilogue XD Oscillator Models

1. Percy - Percussive organ user oscillator for the KORG Prologue / Minilogue XD
Is it "Pursey"? Or "Perky"? You decide! This is a "3rd percussion" organ style sample based synthesizer for your KORG Prologue and Minilogue XD synthesizers.

Parameters as of V1.00-0:
Shape knob : Sets the amount of log-style portamento (this is updated at the audio rate so is step-free).
Shift+Shape: Set the amount of oscillator overdrive.

Available now at
2. Arrhh - Formant filter effect for KORG Minilogue XD / Prologue Synthesizers
Arrhh is an aggressive formant filter User Delay Effect (as choruses blend well with this) for your KORG Minilogue XD and Prologue synthesizers.

Formant can be adjusted between a “ahh” and sort of an eee/ooh sound with “time”, and the depth / resonance with the depth knob.

Careful, when depth is set to full, it can get loud! It's very resonant!

Available now at
3. Souper! A "super-saw" oscillator for your KORG Minilogue-xd / Prologue synthesizers
Available at , Souper, is a 5 oscillator + additional 5 oscillator super-saw waveform generator for your KORG Minilogue XD/Prologue synthesizers.

Set the detune to 0 and the oscillators are locked resulting in wave-table-esqe sounds, adjust the shape knob to detune them and enjoy the thick timbres that result.

Add a second set of oscillators with the Shift-Shape knob, and adjust this second sets' note via the multi-osc parameter menu.

Adding the analog VCOs can further change the timbre as well.
4. Chips - a PWM/Triangle/Chiptune arp oscillator for your KORG minilogue XD / Prologue Synthesizers
Available at , chips is a PWM synth, a triangle synth with Sync+Ringmod effect, and a chiptune style synthesizer complete with kick drum style note falls and noise chiffs added to the start of a note, and variable rate fast arpeggios.
5. Chips 2.0-An updated chiptune style oscillator for your KORG Prologue and Minilogue XD synthesizers!
Available at
For your KORG minilogue xd and prologue synthesizers, Chips 2.0 is an update to the existing Chips user oscillator worthy of a full 2.0 release. Drums, sawteeth, arpeggios, low-fi bass lines, splits and more can now be had on your KORG 'logue synthesizer.
6. KORG minilogue-xd / prologue unofficial sample / wavetable loader preview...
Working on a plugin / solution that will allow you to load your own samples / wavetables into your KORG minilogue xd / prologue synthesizers. There's a ton of work here, and it's almost done but I thought I'd share the progress.

Once released I'll produce a tutorial video, this barely scratches the surface of what you can do!
7. Buckets! A triple BBD chorus effect for your KORG minilogue xd / prologue synthesizers!
Available at

Bring back the 1970's string machine sounds with Buckets!, a triple BBD (bucket brigade delay) type chorus for your KORG minilogue xd and prologue synthesizers. (*NOTE, at this time the prologue file has only been tested on a minilogue).

You can adjust the depth of the slow chorale / ensemble chorus with the Time knob, and the depth of the Vibrato chorus with the Depth knob.

Erica Synths-Pico SEQ2 - straight ,forward full analogue 4 step sequencer!

Published on Jul 19, 2019 Dziam Bass

"Hello Guys.
I have today a small movie with the use of Pico SEQ2 2-4 Step Sequencer from Erica Synths.
I also used the Pico VCO 2 analog oscillator - this is the second version of PICO VCO, the first PICO VCO is digital and offers 32 waveforms.
I added a new PICO LPG and I connected the trigger from PICO TRIGG to get a sequence jump, the trigger introduces a new rhythm of what is cool when you want to break PICO SEQ2. For this Pico EG I KICK from PICO NOISE also the newest module in this series which is a nice source for your DRUMS."
