This is the system featured in this recent video.
"Unbelievable piece of Roland history in museum condition. Here is the Fully Working Roland CMU-800R setup together with Apple II computer. This is not just working CMU-800 in pristine condition. It comes together with Apple II interface card impossible to find and Apple II software. It's fully running and working. CMU-800 is also modified to introduce drum sounds tuning. This is the professional upgrade performed in my workshop. No corners cut. Apple II is retrobrighted, comes with a monitor and keyboard and also includes FLOPPY Emulator. It also comes with the original floppy drive, if you prefer to keep authentic. This is one of set up, that you'll enjoy.
That is CMU-800R? It's essentially computer based synth/interface designed early 80s. It combines 6 synth parts - Melody, Bass, Chord (4 voices) and TR-606 style analog drums. It also has 8 CV/Gate interfaces, Roland composer software to operate it. NO MIDI :)

It is still fully functional with no need go back so far.

"Extremely rare Waldorf Microwave PC. Essentially a Microwave XT, these were manufactured in coordination with the Terratec EWS64 XXL sound cards.
What’s included is a Windows 98 PC with SSD and Microwave Software, a touchscreen monitor, PC keyboard and mouse. As the parts are vintage, they are in good condition, but old. It has stereo digital out, which the hardware version does not have as far as I know.
Everything is controlable via MIDI and onscreen with touch or mouse. Better workflow than the hardware with a small LCD display and scrolling through menus. This setup is fully functional and works great, but please keep in mind the computer and setup is home brewed. There are some compromises in the build with some exposed wires and monitor customization.
Overall this is an incredibly rare opportunity to get a full on, turn key

Today I publish a small demo tutorial on how to create unique FM sounds by combining Syntesis Wavetable on the Graphic VCO module and with the Fusion VCO2 oscillator based on the Tube Vacuum.
As you notice in this case both unique modules and they allow me to create an amazing palette of different sounds.
I am introducing Graphic VCO Out to FM in, thanks to many wavetables I have access to new waves that add to the sound with Fusion VCO 2.
Both work great and complement each other as the Tube sound gets new unique waves and the amount of introductions in FM In and Pitch gives you the freedom to create new sublime and unknown sounds.
It can also add on-the-fly effects such as Wavewrap, Ring modulations or Phase distortion from Garphic VCO which creates new and new colors and shapes of penetrating waves.
See alone in a few small examples ... I leave the rest for your imagination and my own experimentation if you have these modules .."

SE Boomstar 3003 synthesizer demo (no talking, no effects)

"There aren't a lot of bare bones tweaking demos of the Boomstar 3003 monosynth by Studio Electronics so figured I would post one. No effects or compression applied. Mostly using saw but some square in there too. The synthesizer has decent range though I would definitely say it leans towards rambunctiousness over precision. The filter being low pass and raw means it tends towards thick, wide spectrum sounds so can be a bit greedy in the mix. This is the original model so the legending and visibility is a bit jank. I definitely plan to add some colour to the knobs to make it easier to navigate quickly.
Been playing with it incessantly since I got it though which is a good sign - often just holding down a key and drooling. =)"

So, what's going on here?
AUDIO CONNECTIONS:
Nothing complicated here. Both Sirin and Peak go straight into the mixer/DAW.
MIDI/CLOCK:
iPad is a master clock in this one and sends MIDI information to both the instruments. In Fuguemachine you can assing a different MIDI chanel to each voice. Here three playheads are set to drive most of the voices on the Peak while a single playhead (different MIDI chanel) drives Moog.
MUSIC:
As far as I remember it's e minor pentatonic going in a loop which is nice beacuse most of the notes just go together pretty nicely.

Was stored safely in warm dry location. Corner is chipped and could easily be restored. No volume pedal.
The Orchestra is a 4-part orchestral synthesizer produced by the classic Italian synth company, SIEL between 1979-1982 (later bought by ARP and relabeled the ARP Quartet). The Orchestra has 4 presets: Brass, Strings, Organ and Piano. The 4 tone color families can be played individually or two can be simultaneously played. They are also individually tweakable. Selected presets will light up LEDs to show you which sliders and buttons can be used to modify the sounds."
