"The C103 Frequency Multiplier / Divider includes two frequency dividers and two frequency multipliers, that generates four new signals which frequencies are one / two octaves higher / lower than the original signal.
The module includes a built-in three channel mixer with to inputs per channel. The first channel makes possible to the user to select between the original signal from the divider and from the multiplier. In the second channel the user can choose between the signal divided or multiplied by two. In the third channel the options are, the signal divided or multiplied by four. With this set-up up to eight different mixer options are possible which creates a wide range of sonic possibilities."
Update via Dick in the comments: "Ray [Wilson] has just released the pcb's for the updated version of this - the Variclock 16 step sequencer adds an step duration knob (1-16) for each individual step. check the mfos site for the video "
"I'm going to be doing the last performance of the summer at SPIN nightclub in San Diego on Aug 4th. A pounding 136bpm Acid Techno stomper of a set, with psychodelic accents, vocal samples from Katy Rokit and some of my favorite vinyl, and a whole lot more. The set is about 1.5 hours at this point, using only the machinedrum, octatrack and a 303 with some Boss pedals. No loops.. this is a pure live hardware performance. The next time I'm likely to play out is when @DanielTroberg comes out from Sweden again. Then we are going back to back, battle style! I'll update you with a recording after the show! -shagghie / highsage"

During the first half of 3rd year at ECAL, I made an installation project based on the visualization of sound. I am interested in how the spectator is immersed in the interactive piece in the presence of this element. I decided to continue my research on the themes of sound and atmosphere.
Sona is an experimental game on iPad inspired by the classic "Simon game." The universe is composed of enigmatic sound paintings that the spectator must solve through simple interactions. The game is played with headphones to focus attention on the sound.
This project allowed me to study in detail the acoustic phenomena and how we store and perceive sounds. The immersion and sound have become essential elements for me in an interactive project.
"The Wavetek 132 is a 1980's vintage test oscillator featuring voltage control (not 1V/Octave!), 3 waveforms, and digital and analogue noise generators that create "pseudo random" patterns, selectable via front panel switches. The extensive controls allow one to "play" the oscillator live. In this piece, I've used a General Radio sine wave oscillator to modulate the Wavetek, fed the signal to a Synthesizers.com mulit-mode filter, then through a Lexicon reverb. For the last third of the piece, I swapped the modulation source to a Doepfer MAQ16/3 sequencer.

"Includes 40 SDS Drum EPROMs, for SDS-1, SDS-7, SDS-9
Up for auction is a black vintage Simmons SDS-1 EPROM-based electronic drum pad in perfect operating condition, including 40 different EPROMs compatible with Simmons SDS-1, SDS-7, and SDS-9 drum synths.
The Simmons SDS-1 is a single voice drum synth that uses 8k or 16k EPROMs. The drum synth can be triggered by hitting the drum pad or via an external trigger input. There is a modulation section on the drum synth that allows you to set the pitch and pitch bend direction, then a separate runtime generator allows you to dial in a random pitch generator that can range from subtle to extreme. Please check out my link below to some MP3s I made with the SDS1 drum synth.
The Simmons SDS EPROM drum pad is confirmed 100% working, ZIF, LED, external trigger, output, and knobs are all functioning properly. All 40 drum sound EPROMs included with this auction have been verified and are also confirmed working."

"I think I seriously started collecting synths in the early 90's. And then, having run out of space, I stopped. I realized, the only keyboards worth owning were the one's that would be useful to my music making process, and that is still true today. I try to incorporate as many different synths as possible into my music, rather than favor one particular keyboard over another."

"Electronic Music Box (or just EMB) is my Buchla-inspired performance synthesizer. This project started when I wanted to give a new life to my old trusted Oakley VCO's. They are a kind of MOOGish design so here MOOG shakes hand with Buchla. Here below is a diagram of EMB's sound-generation arrangement. VCO1's triangle output is routed to Ian Fritz's Double Pulse Generator (DPG). DPG gives the usual PW and PWM but also Pulse Timbre and Pulse Timbre Modulation. VCO1 triangle and square outputs are routed to Bergfotron's Complex VCO Waveshaper that creates SIN, TRI, 2F SAW, EVEN and SPIKE waveforms. Oakley VCO's sine-output was not so perfect (these are older versions). It was more like filtered triangle-wave. Complex VCO Waveshaper gives a perfect sine-wave. Electric Druid's Noise Source generates white and pink noise. Noise outputs are also on frontpanel jacks so it is possible to modulate something with noise..."

"This one is in beautiful cosmetic condition and working 100%. It has just come back from being serviced and with some restoration. It's likely the nicest Rhodes Chroma for sale anywhere. It is ready to be played and needs nothing. As the title says, this one has the CPU Plus (CC+ Midi upgrade.) In addition, it also has the newer, better power supply (SPSU kit) by Luca Sfregola. It will come with two pedals, two manuals, the Midi box, and a newly foamed road case made for this unit when it was originally purchased..."

Getting the computer out of my live sound was the best thing that ever happened to me. When I work with the modular synthesizer, I feel like I have a piece of clay in my hands which I can squeeze in any direction I choose. This short improvisation was made during filming of a documentary on sound artists in several European cities by London College of Communication students Dann Linn and Marianna Sangita.
You might remember the MIDIPal originally announced here back on January 10th 2012, and mentioned in this interview with Mutable Instruments Olivier Gillet back on September 10, 2011. It is now available on the Mutable Instruments website here. "The MIDIpal is a small and smart MIDI processor. Insert it between a MIDI keyboard (or sequencer) and a MIDI sound module to unleash powerful compositional aids and effects..."
A video featuring the Shruthi-1 in composer/pianist Frank Herrgott's home studio. Frank composed the track and we had a blast "shruthifying it" by recording all elements with (or through) the Shruthi-1. The main protagonists are 3 SMR4 Shruthi-1s and EHX boxes, with help from:
* A CEM3379 Shruthi-1 (kick) * A Fender Rhodes processed through a Shruthi-1 filter + tremolo combo * A Solina clone from Hohner through a Shruthi-1 auto sweep * Two tracks of guitar... sent through a Shruthi-1 wah + tremolo program
Vocals are the only elements not going through the Shruthi-1 - they have been processed by a software vocoder / voice transformer.
I find that the feedback used in place of the actual filter resonance to be better than 24db filter resonance when used in series. Used the 12db filter inline with the 24db to overdrive it, with and without feedback. Keep the ENV3 (Amp/VCA) level low under 80, I used 56 here, and the level knob on the far right under 80 as well. Gets rid of that harsh sound, especially as resonance is cranked up.
A6 doesn't have much head room compared to the discrete designs it was based on - even then when low levels are used, the noise isn't a problem, no worst than a JP8 for example, your just clipping it less :)"

The 196 on it's own is almost not even noticeable. It takes some creative mixing/patching to pull out that deep phase shifter effect - via feedback loops and LPG's opening and closing the animated sound."
