Moog MemoryMoog Ableton Live synth instrument mega and free pack, polysynth analog synthesizer

"The MemoryMoog Synth is one of the finest, if not the finest analog synth I’ve ever been lucky enough to play/sample. Put simply, It is huge. The MiniMoog is always considered the classic Moog synth. This is 6 of them stacked on top of each other! Up to 18 oscillators at once. I was lost in it’s sound instantly, and never wanted to come out. It is regarded by many as one of the best sounding synths ever made. Unfortunately, its price tag mirrors that sentiment. Since most people, including myself, don’t have ten grand lying around to spend on a synth, this could be the next best thing. These Ableton Instruments were all hand crafted from patches created for this pack. It really sounds great. The leads are huge, the pads are massive, and the bass is monstrous. Any one of these patches will cut through a mix easily. Some of the modulation on some of the sounds is just insane, as I created many of the tones in the synths unison mode. This was done to stack the oscillators on top of each other, to fatten it up even more so. Check out this quick jam I made with the pack, and you’ll hear how much of a beast this synthesizer really is."

VOLTLIFE: Tonnetz Sequent for tonal progressions

Published on Dec 29, 2016

"Demonstrating one way to use Noise Engineering's Tonnetz Sequent for tonal progressions (as used in my previous video [here]

Rather than fully traversing the Tonnetz using all transforms, using just the Leading and Relative transforms keeps chord movements to thirds and the circle of fifths, making for a more "traditional" tonal progression. The Home transform allows return to a tonal centre."

Re-tuning TipTop Audio BD808 & Testing Out the Z-DSP Clocked Delays Card

Re-tuning TipTop Audio BD808 from Station 252 on Vimeo.

"Attention: to hear what is going on use proper full range monitoring, computer speakers won't work.

The mighty BD808! No matter how good or how shitty the sound system is, that little guy will always sound great, so great in fact that I rarely use any other bass drums and I was searching quite a lot. The only other bass drum that I use is BD909 but, it will sound only as good as the PA. On Function 1 it will blow your mind, on a shitty PA you will want your BD808 in the rack. The thing with BD808 is that just like the original you can't change its pitch / tuning. The solution is to use a high pass filter after the bass drum.

Start with the filter fully open with no resonance - that is your normal clean BD 808. Shorten the decay to a shortest possible setting, increase the resonance to slightly before self-oscillation now start closing the filter. now you have an alternative filter BD with variable pitch (the cut off is the tuning and the resonance is the decay). By lengthening the 808 decay and varying the filter settings it is possible to get new bass drums easy and fast and they still sound very much like the 808 bass drums. I use Toppobrillo Multifilter as it is very clean, doesn't change the original 808 sound, doesn't distort the accented BD808, has a very manageable and good sounding resonance."

Really love TipTop Audio Z•DSP clocked delays card!!! from Station 252 on Vimeo.

Nord Rack 2X Synthesizer

"The warm analog sound of this synth coupled with cutting-edge digital technology moved the Nord Lead into a “leading” position in the synthesizer community. Musicians from all over the world loved its simplicity, intuitive design, and its musicality and expression offered with the virtual analog concept.

The Nord Lead 2X has the same characteristic sound and functions as the Nord Lead 2, except for some very nice improvements:

X-tra polyphony:
The Nord Lead 2X comes with 20 voices polyphony - very useful when creating layered sounds, "power pads", awesome leads and booming basses. 20 voices are also very beneficial in sequencing situations when you use more than one sound at a time.

X-tra memory:
The Nord Lead 2X comes with a large internal memory holding 4 x 99 user Programs, 100 user Performances and 4 x 10 user Percussion Kits plus 6 x 99 factory Programs and 3 x 100 factory Performances! The Nord Lead 2X is 100% patch compatible with the Nord Lead 2 which means that you can transfer sounds directly between the models via MIDI.

KORG Monologue Synthesizer Ambient Jam

Published on Dec 29, 2016 bitnotbyte

"Testing the KORG Monologue with some pad-like and distorted sounds. The pitch bend is routed to the "Envelope Generator Intensity" to make the sound more distorted. The Attack is at maaaximum!

Other companions in this setup are:
- Elektron Machinedrum
- Elektron Octatrack with a field recording sample
- Eventide Space for the Monologue

Due to the lack of a manual I´m still figuring out how things work – The Monologue is really awesome and versatile."

Rossum Electro-Music - Morpheus *Drone*

Published on Dec 29, 2016 DivKidVideo

"Here's my first patch with the awesome Morpheus stereo 3D multi mega filter bonanza! This band aid filter features broadband shaping and transforming and it's modulated by a combination of the Steady State Fate Ultra-Random Analog and WMD PDO as a phase modulated LFO.

The sound source was a large patch included the Morpheus in various modes and under modulation captured into Mutable Instruments Clouds buffer and saved. This core sound then mixes with the AJH Synth MiniMod VCOs mixed and Ring Modded with added Subs into the Ring SM from AJH before going into the Sonic XV (again AJH) filter for extra wave shaping and low pass filtering. The AJH patch is on the dry side of Clouds and the frozen buffer on the wet side. This then goes into Morpheus before going into the TipTop Audio Z-DSP with the Halls Of Valhalla set at just under 50%. So a lot of the space and long sound is purely Clouds and Morpheus working together."

TT - 303 keyboard controlling M.I. Rings 07

Published on Dec 29, 2016 risbaw

"A first try improvisation showing how to control and play modular oscillators with the TT-303 keyboard.
Here cv and gate are going into Rings playing on top of a prerecorded techno track in Ableton Live.
All sounds recorded from Rings except kick drum , clap and hihats.
Delay from Disaster SR and overdrive from Vermona Retroverb.
(I thought 303 ouput was in the mix but it was not)

Telharmonic with Rings and RS-7000 _08

Published on Dec 29, 2016

"Yesterday I got the Make Noise Telharmonic. Very happy with it.
Here is a first try jam trying to tune it with M.I. Rings which is played
with cv by the TT-303 keyboard and strum by Maths while the gate of the TT controls aux A of the Metropolis.
Metropolis sequencing Telharmonic. A beat is mixed without any sync from the RS - 7000.
And I have to say that Metropolis and Rs clock run perfectly than Rs and Ableton for e.x. that had a difference
on the same bpm. Bass from TT - 303 with tape echo from Nova 400.
Plus Disaster SR Delay and Vermona Retroverb self oscilating bass.
