I-87: a nostalgic NY ride along the Thruway and Deegan Expressway
video upload by CatSynth TV
"Enjoy a fun and nostalgic ride along Interstate 87 in New York in this beautiful 4K video! We start in southern Westchester County, where I-87 is part of the New York State Thruway. At the border of New York City, the Thruway ends, and I-87 continues into the Bronx as the Major Deegan Expressway. It has a large and perpetually traffic-clogged intersection with I-95, which connects to the George Washington Bridge to New Jersey as well as to New England. After that, I-87 and "The Deegan" continue through the south Bronx and end at I-278 and the Triboro (RFK) Bridge.
This one is particularly special, as CatSyth host Amanda Chaudhary grew up here and traveled this freeway often, including to regular visit her grandparents in the Bronx.

Ambient ghosts - Vhikk X, 4ms Ensemble and SMR, Elta TSC 12
video upload by Jay Hosking
"Two ambient songs performed live with a eurorack case.
Buy these songs on an album here: https://jayhosking.bandcamp.com/album...
This is why eurorack exists to me. I would never come to these sorts of results through any other workflow or gear, would never stumble on these harmonies or gently cascading notes, would never feel out the song progression on a computer or even with a more traditional hardware setup. There are many things eurorack doesn't do as well, but moments like this make me realize why it's so special.
Please go give the album a spin.

Joranalogue Delay-1 Sound Demo (no talking) with Knobula Monumatic, Strymon Magneto and others
video upload by Limbic Bits
0:00 Intro Performance (noise as exciter)
1:54 Delay-1 as Chorus / Phaser
2:46 Karplus Strong Synthesis
3:37 Pulse-modulated Chorus
4:30 Extreme delay settings (glitch)
5:56 Hypnotoad Drone with Noise
"Joranalogue Delay-1 is an all-analog module designed for very short delays (1–50 ms), making it perfect for applications such as chorus, flanging, comb filtering, Karplus–Strong synthesis, and more. Thanks to its flexible array of patch points, it also lends itself well to more experimental uses.
I especially liked the introduction of glitches and artifacts when feeding the delay with an external clock oscillator to enable longer delay times. Of course, a low-pass filter in the signal chain is almost mandatory in that context.
With pristine build quality, great sound, and plenty of creative options, Delay-1 is an intriguing playground for larger modular systems—or for anyone looking to explore Karplus–Strong synthesis in more depth. It works well on its own but truly shines when combined with external signals, modulation, and further processing."

April Easter Jam
video upload by ranzee
"A whole bunch of hardware synthesizers!
The sequences you hear are from my modular system which includes VCZIII oscillator, filter from Feedback Modules, Behringer System 100m and 2500 modules. Also some Roland System 500 gear. The sequences are mainly from the Korg SQ64 - but I've also used Behringer 960 to do some things, as well as getting the SQ64 to trigger the 182 sequencer - see if you can spot it :)
Vocoder bit was done on the Roland E4. Other strings and sounds were from Streichfett, Pro 800 and Novation Peak. Effects are MXR Flanger or in the Modular system: Strymon Magneto, Intellijel Sealegs, Feedback Modules 106 Chorus."

Velocité - full album (Mike Oldfield meets Air & Tame Impala)
video upload by Caught In Joy
"Inspired by the fluid energy of Tangerine Dream, the layered elegance of Mike Oldfield, and the dreamlike pulse of Air and Tame Impala, this album explores the strange intersections of speed and stillness.
Velocité is a deep, cinematic dive into motion, memory, and momentum—an hour-long journey shaped by analog synths, ambient textures, and hypnotic rhythms.
Created live and mixed with obsessive attention to detail, Velocité captures that fleeting feeling of being in transit—somewhere between the past and the future. Best experienced in one uninterrupted listen.
Composed, mixed and mastered by Caught In Joy. Karol Pokojowczyk uses Bitwig, Moog One, Moog Matriarch, Prophet-10, 3x Moog Mavis, TipTop Buchla modules, Make Noise Strega, Strymon Magneto, Arturia V-Collection and an army of guitar pedals. Performed and recorded live on tape with TEAC 80-8.
Timeline:
00:00:00 - 1. Velocité
00:10:16 - 2. Clockwork Pastoral
00:17:11 - 3. Microfilm Memory

Seven Sisters Percussion Synthesizer Eurorack Module From Recovery Effects Patches
video upload by recoverysounds
non eurorack version here
"First patch:
Piano sample on the 4MS Stereo Triggered Sampler being mangled by the Strymon Magneto, the other voice is the Seven Sisters (voice 5) with pitches and decay manipulated by the Bastl CV Trinity, hi hat is the 2HP Hat being triggered by CV Trinity.
Second patch:
Synth pattern coming from the MPC One, Rhythm pattern from the Seven Sisters (voice 6), triggered by the MPC One.
Third patch:
Make Noise Morphagene loop, arpeggiated melody with the 2HP Arp / After Later BOSC / Bastl CV Trinity, and rhythm patterns from the Seven Sisters (voices 1 and 3) being triggered by the MPC One, and CV manipulated with the MPC One / Bastl CV Trinity.
Seven Sisters is a percussion synthesizer featuring seven voices that aims to capture the essence of late '70s instruments such as the Syncussion and Syndrum. This module contains 7 presets, with one voice playable at a time. Each voice has four editable controls, including volume, and parameters such as decay, pitch, and filter, all of which can be controlled via CV.. Each voice also includes multiple oscillators, noise generators, and filters, providing rich, complex tones beyond the capabilities of the original devices. This enables you to recreate classic sounds or craft more realistic snare, hi-hat, and cymbal effects. Seven Sisters is playable from any Eurorack trigger or gate-source, and it also pairs well with the Beatstep Pro, Korg SQ-64, or other trigger sequencers. The result is a powerful percussion synthesizer that combines the essence of early drum synthesis with modern flexibility.
10hp.
Dual mono output for stereo or parallel processing.
Includes a one-year limited warranty if registered within 30 days of delivery.
Designed and assembled in Seattle, Washington."

Buchla by TipTop // Buchla Serenade by the Lake
video upload by Dexba
"So I went out and bought a power bank capable of powering my modular system, and I sat by my favourite lake, duetting with the birds around, the Buchla system and my OP1 Field.
The system is fairly simple in its parts, but I am very proud of the deeper complexity I was able to reach in the texture of the patch.
A patch not repeating itself for a very, very long time, thanks to the integration with very interesting features on the Strymon Magneto.
I recorded it on my OP1 Field, improvising on top of it, and I am very pleased with the result.
This is exactly how I want my music to be: outside, in and with nature, programmed but also spontaneous. I hope you'll enjoy it too!"

Mystic Explorations by The Animals at Night
"'Mystic Explorations' is a collection of songs written and recorded around the Mystic desktop synthesizer, which I designed for Recovery Effects. Each track was recorded in the early evenings of February, 2024, where I would start by going for a walk with my dog, Jackson, looking for inspiration. These cold, night-time walks centered around a cemetary in our neighborhood, known as a home and hunting spot for coyotes. I would record audio from these walks and use it as the backdrop for each track as I worked on it.
The Mystic is used as the main sound source for these songs, while accompanied by drum machines such as the MPC One, Syncussion SY-1 (built by myself), Roland T-8, and Roland Drumatix TR-06. I used modulation sources from my Eurorack synthesizer, MPC One, and Korg SQ-1. I used effects devices such as the Vongon Polyphrase, Chase Bliss Habit, and Strymon Magneto. All of these effects were synced via MIDI and / or CV and used in tandem with the CV controls on the Mystic to further modulate and enhance the compositions. I recorded bass guitar on the opening track, 'Dream or Memory'.
This was an exciting project to showcase the many sounds the Mystic can achieve, as well as challenging myself to create an entire record with one primary sound source. I hope you enjoy it as much as I had fun making it.
released March 13, 2024
Written, performed, recorded, and mastered by Graig Markel."
