"Random Patch generate function! It's pretty cool when you want "different" sounds and more often than not out out of the ordinary sounds..had to cut the vid short cos some one was knocking on the front door lol well i'll continue what I was saying...reverb on bass=bad especially if it's stereo bass, this stuff won't cut proper to vinyl. Any way one way round is this; on the Aux return channel (The wet signal) have a hi-pass filter thats 100hz or above, to make the reverb not clash too much with the bass you can side-chain the reverb too using a compressor (sending the kick to the compressor)"

"Hand made 5 oscillator mini synthesizer

I have been making synthesizers for over 10 years but this is the first time I have made anything to sell. To see all my work go to nicksworldofsynthesizers.com

The 5 knobs tune the oscillators and the keys switch them on. In normal mode it can make simple melodies and harmonies.

There is a switch that makes all the oscillators sync to the first oscillator. This has the effect of making the oscillators lock to the nearest harmonics of the first oscillator and makes some very strange harmonies.

The chaos depth knob makes all the oscillators attempt to sync to each other. The result is quite extreme unpredictable noise and sonic convolsions.

The circuit is descrete transistor which give the sound a rich analogue quality. The case has a nice vintage industrial design with engraved lettering and moog style knobs.

Its essentially a TB-303 clone although it doesn't sound very similar, I gotta say I do like the sound, it sounds more aggressive and overdriven than a 303 without even any distortion added, and it can deliver some good oomph, all in all I am happy with it :)"

MODIFIED Sequential Circuits Six-Trak with Custom Knob Box Controller

"Because the MIDI Controller uses one MIDI Input, I have also modified the Six Trak and added MORE MIDI inputs, that that you can connect both the controller and another device (like to a computer). This modification was done by implementing a MIDI Merger from MIDI SOLUTIONS, and in no way is changing any feature of the original unit. It is only adding functions :)

Another minor modification, is to change the power cable (which is normally a gettho cable hanging out of the unit), for a 3 PIN power jack, like you find on any modern synth."

Seven editable generators: kickbass, three tomtoms, snare, hihat and cymbal. All inputs / outputs are 1/4" jack. Editable parameters: sensitivity to the triggering signal, tone, decay time, octave (range), balance, lowpass filter, accent and volume. Built-in preset drum machine with 16 patterns. The drum machine and drum synthesizer are independent modules so they can work at the same time freely. And you can tweak the generators of the beatbox patterns. Full freedom. "Hi,

In this video i will show my new design of electronic drums and how it working,
I also have regular drum system SONOR FORS 3000, but as you know this not for playing at home, so this was my first trigger to build an electronic drum set.
As i am electronic ENG that also learn Mechanics this was one of my best project challenge for design and build.
As you will see in the video i decide to use PVC pipes and parts due to that the parts are some how like Lego, but it not so easy, all the mechanic work on this set needed special tools for cut / drill / change diameters inside parts and more,
In order to get the same feel with foot pedals i decide to use regular pedals and perform modification to each one of them, the modification include mechanical upgrade with aluminum plates, for the bass pedal i designed the trigger at the lower section and i change the position of the hammer, in the HI HAT i added variable resistor so when i push the pedal the resistant change and sent to the MIDI unit.

Electro aficionados & vintage synth geeks get a taste of the real thing, live without a laptop in sight.

Long time collectors of analogue equipment Steve Jones and Ryan Spinoglio have teamed up with Carolyn Shine to re-create some of electronic music’s classics under the moniker ‘Studio Serpentine’ on stage at the Enmore Theatre on September 11 2010.

Some of electronic music’s most innovative scores like Vangelis’ Blade Runner and Delia Derbyshire’s Dr Who theme will oscillate between electro-pop classics like Fade to Grey by Visage and Studio Serpentine’s own music.

Priceless pieces of analogue studio heaven will be assembled to showcase the trio’s beloved equipment and give the audience an opportunity to experience electronica history live.

Yamaha CS-80, Prophet 5s, Jupiter 8s, PPG Wave 2, Space echos, and practically the entire back catalogue of Roland drum machines, a vintage Korg Vocoder and the legendary MS-20 will be stacked up with a couple of ARP Odyssey MKIIs, a Space Modular and a Theremin among other things. If that all sounds like another language - it kinda is.

This is a rare opportunity to experience the evolving language of electronic music from its classic origins.

Steve Jones is a prominent recording engineer and keyboard programmer who has worked on many platinum award-winning albums in Australia. He has worked as a keyboard technician for touring artists Kylie Minogue, INXS and Burt Bacharach and is by all regards, a certified synth geek.

Anyway, this time I have experimented with some alternative light. I used one of those pinspots that has a rotating colored disc in front of the bulb.
I played the melody on the SH-2000 synthesizer and used the Technics organ for the rest of the arrangement."

No Abletrons, tape machines, or MIDI sequencers (outside of what's in the RADIAS itself) were harmed in the performance of this music. Reverb is supplied by a Crown PZM in the next room, and no plugins were used to mix the music except for the stock MW Limiter in Digital Performer. this is straight-up rawdog drums and synth."
