"Here is for sale a rare example of a perfectly working RSF Kobol Expander I, one of the most sought after synths of the 80s.  Only around 800 units manufactured! Probably one of the best sounding mono synths ever built. Note this is a 220-240v European voltage model. You must use a transformer to work with 115V US power (transformer not provided).

Some called it the French answer to the MiniMoog, among other great features it has :

2. analog morphing waveforms (UA726 Fairchild)
3. SSM filters and envelopes (2040 & 2050)
4. and many others (see below)

WMD Synchrodyne - A la recherche de "sweet spots"

Published on Feb 19, 2013 modularsquare·42 videos

http://modularsquare.com/fr/WMD-Synch...

24 light sensitive sensors 'lightefface' - arduino + max/msp

24 light sensitive sensors 'lightefface' - arduino + max/msp from kaziem on Vimeo.

"This is an interface that has 24 light sensitive resistors. It is built with Arduino and 3 multiplexers. In these examples it sends data to MAX/MSP and controls sound, but can send data to any software (Processing, Reactor, Suppercollider, Junxion etc) that talks to Arduino. So this is like having 24 light dependent faders, you can do whatever you like with the data. These are just two simple examples, but I'm going to make more patches in MAX, possibilities are endless. I'm also going to try to raise money and turn it into a product, Let's see how it goes. For now enjoy this little documentation."

"This tutorial looks at building Kick drums based off the classic TR-808 and TR-909. The tutorial goes over how to calculate Freq and Q (Quality Factor) from reading schematics. The video also shows how to modify the Core static BP filter to use Q values instead of Resonance. To see how to do the same thing for BandWidth (BW), see our previous video on Vocoders vimeo.com/59133221

Yusynth LFO Sync

Published on Feb 18, 2013 GoldenCardiganCult·8 videos

"The Golden Rule of LFO sync. The LFO Rate has to be quicker than the trigger or gate that you are syncing to.

The LFO is synced to the gate of the lead arpeggio (the green LED toward the bottom left). The LFO 's rate is also controlled by the Joysticks X-axis via it's FM input. You will notice that when the rate of the arpeggio is doubled, the LFO can no longer sync to it because it's rate is slow than the incoming gates. When I increase the LFO rate with the Joystick you will see the LFO grab sync again."

- 2x separate outs of 266 QRV are sent to their own CV input of the 258

- 258 sent out through 2x channels of the 292.

- 230 Pulse Outs from Chan A & B are sent to Ch A & B of the 292

- 292 channels 1 & 2 (the 258 VCO outs) are sent to the 207 - one channel input #1 and the other to input channel #6 (these 2x 207 channels allow fro voltage controlled panning).

- same pulse from 230 Ch A is sent to 266 SRV.

- SRV is sent through the 266 Integrator (for glide/slew) then off to the 207 CV panning of CH 1 & 6.

- 258 VCO#1 is sent into FM of VCO#2... adjusted to taste.

- Noise +3 out for 266 is sent to FM in of 258 VCO#1... adjusted to taste.

PixiVisor for iOS Now Available

Videos posted here.

"Prepare to see what you've never seen before!

PixiVisor is a revolutionary tool for audio-visual experiments. Simple and fun, cross-platform application with unlimited potential for creativity!
It consists of two parts: Transmitter and Receiver.

* Transmitter converts the video (static 64x64 image or 10FPS animation) to sound, pixel by pixel (progressive scan). This lets you listen to the sound of your image. But the main function of the Transmitter is to transmit the signal to the receiving devices.
* Receiver converts the sound (from microphone or Line-in input) back to video. You can set the color palette for this video, and record it to animated GIF file.

Key features:
* file formats supported by Transmitter: JPEG, PNG, GIF (static and animated);
* real-time video export to animated GIF;
* 64 predefined color palettes;
* iTunes File Sharing;
* Wi-Fi Export/Import (in the File menu of the Transmitter);
* it also available for Android, Windows, Linux and OSX;
* more functions in the next PixiVisor updates...

Examples of use:
* wireless Lo-Fi video transmission over audio;
* video signal transmission through audio cable; you can then modify that signal by some mixers or audio FX processors;
* VJing;
* sound visualization;
* save any sound to animated GIF;
* hide some images and animation in your music;
* searching for hidden messages in the ambient noise; EVP;
* something else; reveal it first!

Nord Modular G2 Engine

Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

"The rare and sought after Nord Modular G2, in a convenient 1U rack space. This unit is working with a brand new USB port installed (common failure point on these devices). It has some cosmetic flaws, see scratches on panels, but not too bad for a 10 year old synth. It DOES include the original printed manual (which is also cosmetically flawed), however it does not have the original software disc...but that is a free download and you'll want the latest version anyway from Clavia's website.

With this auction you will receive the Nord Modular G2 Engine, rack ears, 1 power cord, 1 USB cord, and the original printed manual (minus the software disc). It does not include original packaging or any accessories not listed."
