"I've had a simple melody stuck in my head for the past few weeks, and now that I have the MPC I thought I would see what comes out. New Track, freshly annotated, with the D1 rippin as much as I possibly can at the end. Which I'm no ELP, Stevie Wonder, or David Guetta - BUT I do use that minor 3rd climby/slidey/telephone sound at the end, which is probably in 70% of my videos. I do enjoy it."

"This unit was recently serviced by the famous analog synth repair Guru John Leimseider (JL) of the Cantos Music Foundation in Calgary Alberta Canada. This is a six voice, VCO-based synthesizer (like the Matrix-12) as opposed to its DCO-based siblings the Matrix-6 and 1000. It is in great condition and sounds wonderful. Very fat and thick as you would expect from a true analog synthesizer. The best part of this unit however, is its flexibility when it comes to programming sounds. It is very similar to a modular synthesizer in that respect. Pretty much anything can modulate anything. This unit is American made in Los Angeles, California."

Snyderphonics MantaMate Eurorack Module Released
Published on Jun 5, 2017 Jeff Snyder
"Announcing the release of the Snyderphonics MantaMate, a Eurorack-format analog synthesizer module that connects the Manta controller (and many other things) to your analog modular synth.
The MantaMate has 12 analog control voltage outputs (4 are 16-bit high resolution and 8 are 12-bit medium resolution). It acts as a USB host for the Manta, allowing you to use the Manta as either a touch keyboard or as a powerful sequencer without the need for a computer. It also translates USB-MIDI controllers, such as keyboards and knob banks. Unusually, it can also convert certain game controllers and joysticks to analog voltages as well, so you can plug in a flight-simulator joystick and control your analog synth. It is also capable of connecting to your computer as a USB-MIDI device, allowing you to easily send control voltages from a DAW like ProTools or a music programming language like Max or Supercollider."

Molten Modular - Getting into Eurorack synthesis
Published on Dec 4, 2016 Molten Music Technology

I'm your guide and your guinea pig as I strive to unravel this mysteriously musical form of DIY synthesis. There will be videos forthcoming on gateway synths to lay the ground work; software alternatives to whet your appetite; and on to choosing the right case and power supply. And then it will develop into an opportunity to try out, compare and review various modules as I start to put my system together."

Datatrack (extended freakout mix) - Elektron Octatrack

This is 100% Octatrack, recorded directly from the main output."

Published on Jun 5, 2017 DreamsOfWires
"Korg Arp Odyssey - Just a temporary visitor, but I'll try to make a couple of videos with it. I previewed a short, preliminary moment from it on Instagram, so here's what it mutated into. (Original clip: https://instagram.com/p/BUvBUCilbWU/)
This is a multitracked recording, done in a pretty slap-dash manner, but all sounds are from the Odyssey, plus some reverb from Virsyn's AudioReverb and Kymatica's AUFX: Space within an iPad via an iConnectAUDIO4+. The main melody was sequenced then 'tweaked' in real-time, everything else was played manually - I like keeping it organic.
Video footage is of Harwich and Felixstowe (UK) last autumn, filmed with a Lumix GX7 and an iPhone 5.
Any gear/software I haven't mentioned is because I don't want to :P Please don't ask. I don't make instructional videos, I'm no expert on anything, it's mostly just for my own pleasure, and hopefully of some enjoyment to others."

SYNTH EVOLUTION - Illustrations of Classic Synthesizers
"SYNTH EVOLUTION is a new business specialising in illustrations of classic synthesizers, from the earliest Moog and Buchla systems of the early 1960s, right up to the introduction of the first analogue modelling synths of the early 1990s.
Every synth manufactured during that time has been covered - from the big names of Moog, Roland and Yamaha to the more esoteric products from RMI, Wersi and Powertran. Between them, all these synthesizers - and more importantly, the musicians who use them, have transformed music of the last 50 years bringing previously undreamt of sounds and styles to musical culture. The first range of products from SYNTH EVOLUTION are stylish white ceramic mugs emblazoned with illustrations of these mighty instruments. There is a selection to browse from on the website, but any synth from a list of over 270 can be requested!
Note that currently only synthesizers are available - drum machines, samplers and more recent instruments are in the pipeline, as are other products.
Delivery worldwide.

The Moog Modular Synthesizer 3C (1967) was one of Robert Moog's earliest instruments and formed the basis of what was to become the world's largest modular synthesizer 'TONTO'. Created by Malcolm Cecil, 'The Original New Timbral Orchestra’ eventually comprised two Moog Modular 3C's as well as many other modules from other manufacturers.

The Arp 2600 was created in 1971 by Alan R. Pearlman and has been a classic ever since. Notable users are too numerous to list in full, but include Stevie Wonder, Jean-Michel Jarre, Orbital, Rick Wakeman and Nine Inch Nails. It was also used to create R2D2's bleeps and bloops in Star Wars.
Yamaha CS-80 (1977)
Buy now
The polyphonic Yamaha CS-80 is synonymous with the lush chord sound of Vangelos - such as the opening sequence of Bladerunner.
Released in 1977, it's eight note polyphony was a revelation, but it's 90kg weight meant some serious weight training was required to own one.
Con Brio ADS 200 (1980)
Buy now
The Con Brio Advanced Digital Synthesizer (ADS) 200 was an extraordinary synthesizer released in 1980 costing over $20,000. Based on additive synthesis, FM, phase modulation and some other esoteric sound generation methods it had 64 note polyphony and 16 oscillators per note.
Quite a beast, and a splendid looking one too - perfect for a retro-futuristic mug of tea!

Published on Jun 4, 2017 Thomas Pottage
"My first time making a full track with the Novation Peak; what a treat! Everything you are hearing, you are seeing. There are 3 tracks of the peak, the 'piano', bass, and lead, with Circuit providing drums. All FX come from the Peak (or Circuit) with a tiny splash of compression in the mixing stage in Logic (gotta love that reverb!).
The title comes from the built in preset 'Zodiac' which is used for the intro/piano sound.
The modulation options on the Peak are amazing, but I like to keep it simple."
