"A classic synth from the early 80s this Poly-61 was used largely in my home studio and has been in storage for the past 20 years. With two oscillators per voice, and six individual voices, it can produce vibrant, gritty basses or rich, warm analog pads. The sounds are wonderful and evocative of recordings produced in that era. One of the best features is the joy-stick that controls Pitch Bend, DCO, and VCF in real time. It makes for some very expressive and interesting effects. The Arpeggiator and Key Assign Mode features add to the wide array of effects that are possible."

"Third and final DD10 revision. Added CV control over pitch. Mostly robots doing the work here. The only laying on of hands being laying off of the delay at the end.

The DD is being triggered via midi from the daw and CV is coming in on two channels via a yarns midi to CV interface in the euro rig to animate the pitch and filter cutoff of the DD10. These are also controlled from the daw. Meandering set that shifts subtly for the durastion to let the DD shine through. Wearing the obvious nine inch nails fragile/spiral influences on both sleeves. The sound set of the DD10 is a wonderful thing for sexy old school art of self destruction dirt when pitched and filtered. As is a shining example here.

All percussion over the daw backing is the modified DD10. No additional fx applied."

"The Model 416 Meta Expander is a fully-fledged, standalone breakout-box for the BEMI Music Easel, which provides access to all of the Easel- and Program Card's patch points (effectively doubling the Easel's control voltage possibilities), and greatly extends the Easel's capabilities by having several useful modules build in.

The Model 416 Meta Expander communicates bi-directionally with the Easel by means of a custom-designed Edge Card and a 60-pin flat ribbon cable.

A quick rundown of the Model 416 Meta Expander's capabilities:

Doubling the Easel's patch panel CV's (pitch, timbre, period, etc), with modulation depth controls. This then allows to modulate these parameters with [at least] two sources simultaneously.

Bringing out extra patch points not accessible on the Easel's patch panel. Full control over the Envelope's Attack, Sustain & Release. Voltage control over the Complex Osc's Waveshape Level. Access to all of the Sequencer's steps, and control over its number of Stages. Access to Random Voltages 3 & 4 (the Easel's patch panel only provides RV's 1 & 2).

Trigger inputs for the Sequencer, Envelope, Pulser & Random, opening up the Easel to external synchronisation.
Full voltage control over most of the Easel's switches.

In addition, the Model 416 Meta Expander offers extra custom-designed modules to vastly expand upon the Easel's features:

Two fast Comparators, with threshold control, for pulse generation, with both 3.5mm & banana inputs, separate outputs (2ms @ 10V), as well as a combined output (A+B). They can drive any triggerable module in the Easel.

A Noise module with White, Pink-ish and Slow-Varying Random outputs. Since White & Pink Noise are simultaneously available at Tini-jax & banana outputs, they can serve as both modulation- and audio sources. Slow Random is available at several patch points across the panel.

"While experimenting with polyphonic patches I recorded this little tidbit and made a video out of it along with some still shots of the patch.

There are four identical voices each using the following modules:
Synth Tech MOTM-300 VCO (pulse wave out)
Synth Tech MOTM-800 EG (for VCA modulation)
Synth Tech MOTM-190 dual VCA (1/2)
Moon Modular 517 dual VCF (1/2)
Moon Modular 511D ADSR (1/2) (for VCF modulation)
Synth Tech MOTM-380 quad LFO (1/4) for VCO PWM

The 4 voices are controlled via a Roland A-88 MIDI keyboard through a Synth Tech MOTM-650 quad MIDI to CV converter. The Moon 517 VCFs are additionally modulated by 4 outputs of a Krisp1 OCTO LFO which is itself modulated by a MOTM-320 LFO.

The "flutter" effect is created by switching the Moon 511D EGs to Gated Retrigger mode so that when a key is held down the EG that modulates the VCF channel for the associated voice goes into loop mode. Three of the voices loop at one rate and the fourth 'lead' voice is set to loop at a faster rate.

Effects used are Strymon BigSky and Timeline pedals, Roland RSP-550 multi effects rack and a touch of a Sony reverb plugin."

The maker wrote in to let us know the editor is now compatible "in Logic X 10.3.3 but has been incompatible since 8 on and is still only working now in 4-7 and 10.3.3 - still no go in v8 - 9, up to X 10.3.2." A little confusing, but there you have it. :) Know your versions.
