"I recently performed a continuous 18-minute piece with my small eurorack modular system and a Korg MS2000, that moves from abstract soundscapes into more structured songs with vocals and then back again. Artist Nimrod Alexander Gershoni filmed the performance and then manipulated the video to create a dark psychedelic journey that doesn't quite fall into the 'music video' or 'live performance video' categories, but somewhere in between.

A little drumbeat created by two modules: the Pittsbugrh Modular Game System and the Steady State Fate Propagate.
The Game System's Gate Out 3 triggers the Propagate from which different gate spacing and delay a non-linear sequence is being created.
Propagate Ch1 triggers the Hexinverter.net - Mutant Machine
Ch2 triggers the Mutant Clap
Ch4 triggers the Mutant Bass Drum
The Mutant Hihats are being triggered from two sources: #1 - The other gate outs of the Game System are triggering the Mutant Hihat and its Decay CV which results in random closed and open hihat sounds."

"This is a small improvised demo with the TipTop Z-DSP new cartridges by Christophe Duquesne featuring Eric Mouquet (Deep Forest)

It is a 3 takes improvisation and knob tweaking :
- first take with a Buchla going 100% trhough the Physical Modeling cartridge (waveguides and other physical models)
- second take with a Tempest going 100% through the Grain de Folie cartridge (granular effect)
- third track adds a few additional synth with an OB-Mx

A bit of editing and that's all (no additional effects)

This really is one of the coolest analog sequencers and is very unique and powerful. The synth section is rather simple but does offer two oscillators, multiple filter types, ring modulation, and voltage controlled envelope times. Overall it sounds only like an EML can.

There's simply too many features to run through this unit entirely, but everything I tested appears to be working as it should.

"Regarding the modifications, there are 2, both of which are switched via small rockers in the back.

Mods are:
1. Wider LFO range
2. White noise routed into VCF2 - gives a broader filter tone

The mods make an already deep synth even more versatile. These mods cost over a hundred dollars to install, and were done earlier this year, along with calibration and servicing.

For more information, please see Don Solaris' page, which was the basis for these mods. Just point google toward Don Solaris and CS-15 and you will find a detailed PDF.

All knobs and faders sound clear without crackling, with 2 exceptions: when warming up, occasionally the brilliance slider crackles, but not always, and once moved a few times, works perfectly. Similarly, the VCF 1 filter switch will occasionally make noise when moved, but when cycled through the switch, will work normally. These likely just need to be cleaned. Keys all work perfectly. The filter, even though it is 12 db/oct, sounds HUGE and this machine cranks out the most amazing bass. The CV/gate functionality on the back works for BOTH oscs and it also has an external in to process drum sounds for further mayhem..."

"This synth is in great shape, the only major problem is the tops of the two joysticks are broken off but they still function like normal. The sound of this can be very expressive due to its non typical layout. This keyboard was intended to be played as a lead synth and has a brute force way of shaping timbre that will cut through any mix. The sound is monophonic but big and if you are looking for a lead instrument that will go into some strange exotic places this thing is for you. The aftertouch is controlled by a tiny light sensor under the keyboard and can be programmed to bend notes or add vibrato. Also the quarter tone button on this synth is unique if you need to play exotic scales from a far away place. Its made of solid metal and wood and has a cool music stand that pops up on the back, This is surely a collectors item and only 1000 were ever made."

"So here is the 702, now using all three oscillators. In my earlier demo I used just one but since then it has become apparent that these oscillators *interact*. I had built an LFO and went quite wild with it before on the single oscillator - but I feel that this module is supposed to be a little more subtle...!? We have the 701 for *wild* - this one has a more 'rhythmic' flavour - or so I think, after working on it. We shall never know for sure exactly what Bob had in mind for this module and I am also going to incorporate some of my own ideas. For example an actual "audio delay" for each oscillator - hence the delayed LED circuit you see here - it will also switch a relay. And a few times you see me turning the LFO speed (on a loose pot) during the sounds decay. I am also going to fit another EG to either sweep the speed up or down with control over the rate. It seemed to make sense... ;)"

"Up for sale is a (1) Nord Micro Modular vocoder panel. It seems to be original, but we've never seen it before. There's a Mic-amp (Version 0.3) installed on it and it's working fine. The yellow jack cable goes to the analog input of the Nord Micro Modular synthesizer. Optical it's in near mint condition with only some small scratches on it. We deliver it with an original psu adaptor to feed the mic-amp. From the mic-amp there's a power cord to feed the Micro Modular."

Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 Rev 3.3 Synthesizer w/Midi & Orig Cassette

"For sale is a beautiful 1983 Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 synthesizer, serial number 5604, with midi. Based on info found in the user manual, as well as the external configuration of the unit (as shown in the photos above) this Prophet 5 is a revision 3. More specifically, the serial number indicates that it is a revision 3.3, indicating that it has 120 factory programs, versus the 40 programs found in earlier revisions. I had it serviced recently by Sequential Circuits expert technician Greg Montalbano of Oakland, CA, and he was very impressed by its condition. (Note: on a couple discussion boards I have seen Greg's last named stated as Klosmon, but I think that is only because his email address begins with the term klosmon. I believe I am correct about his last name being Montalbano, however. As of today, my Prophet 5 is in mint condition functionally (thanks to Greg's fine work), and near-mint condition cosmetically. You might be able to find a Prophet 5 for less money, but I can guarantee that it won't be as nice as mine. Below is a list of the tasks that Greg performed back in January 2014:

(1) pots, switches, key contacts cleaned. (2) bypass capacitors replaced on all boards.
(3) factory patches reloaded. (4) synth tuned and scaled. (5) factory midi installed.
(6) new battery installed. (7) keys and wood trim thoroughly cleaned."
