My Tiptop Audio 808 modules have arrived. I'll take some better shots in a bit, but thought I'd put up a quick post before I disappear for a bit. About to make some fireworks with these. :) Check out the cool packaging these come in! Tubes of 808 goodness.
"A quick video showing how to use AudioCubes by Percussa with an FM synth to gesturally create new sounds. The synth used is Operator. In Ableton Live, two tracks are created each with their own Operator instance. Each of the Operator synths has 2 oscillator pairs, which are controlled using 4 sensors on each of the AudioCubes (i.e. each synth is linked to a different AudioCube). The synth parameters can be controlled using your hand and finger gestures, or by pointing AudioCube sensors at each other like is demonstrated in this video. Learn more at http://www.percussa.com/"

"This is the vastly underrated Crumar Bit One, with 2DCO, touch sensitive, MIDI, and 6 voices. You can also easily split the keyboard, play 6 voices in unison, or even (my favorite) mix two different patches per key press simultaneously giving you endless sonic variety. You can find tons of opinions and additional details of this synth online.
This unit is a nearly flawless specimen. It shows slight wear in a few places. The aluminum end cheeks have been replaced with real wood(oak, originals will be included if you prefer to switch back) and the panel LEDs are varied in color (red, yellow, green, and blue) rather than all red. Internally, the power supply has been rebuilt and the other electrolytic capacitors have been replaced, to make this solid for some time to come. It is preloaded with the factory patches (63)"

"This song was made with a 11,99 € synthesizer for the iPad called NLog Synth Pro (by temporubato.com, aka Rolf Wöhrmann). It has very nice features and extended tweaking possibilities. Recommended! Also used on one track of the song is the iPad MIDI Stepsequencer called "Phaedra" (also recommended!). Audio was recorded in Logic 9. The used audio interface was a Tascam US-800 connected to the iPad's usb port through a Camera Connection Kit and connected to the Mac using the digital outs."

"We have had this synth for a number of years and recently took it out of storage. It was working when we put it into storage but now it no longer turns on, we suspect the power supply is at fault as typically is the case. The system comprises electronics and a complex sequencer. The sequencer (often mis-identified as a 401) fits like a lid over the electronics. The hinges are there but the clasps are not. We never bundled it up like that anyway. Although not necessary because you can use the 1/4" jacks we no longer can locate the multi-pin connector cable tying the sequencer to the electronics and we do not have a pin-out for it. The amphenol connectors on both units look like they should be replaced anyway. Cosmetically the synth is in G condition as depicted with some light scratching on the cabinet, facia smudging and jack tarnish. The main cosmetic issue is a deficit of caps for the sliders, what I probably would do is change cap styles completely to something more obtainable if a source of supply cannot be located for the original caps. On opening the synth up the guts look to be in great condition with no obvious issues. This synth has not been "restored" and due to these issues regretfully is being sold in "as is" condition. It is not "plug-and-play." It will require expertise (which I lack) to get it performing up to specifications. There may be other technical issues which I have been unable to disclose because I am unaware of them or can't evaluate them properly due to the power supply issue (I would disclose them if I could!). Having said this, not that many were made and it comes up for sale infrequently, if you can fix it up you will have a desirable instrument. The synth is heavy, large and bulky; local pick-up in the Los Angeles, CA area welcome."
The tabulaRasa is a digital wavetable oscillator with voltage control of frequency, waveform selection, and the amount of interpolation between waveforms. The tabulaRasa consists of two components: a hardware synthesis module which can integrate into a modular synth system, and a software application which allows the user to create their own custom waveforms. These waveforms are then transferred from the computer to the tabulaRasa module through a standard SD card slot. As of 07.11.2012, the tabulaRasa is open source and hosted at http://www.bitbucket.org/pucktronix/tabularasa/"

"'Ascension' is the first of 4 video-clips resulting from a session held at Alexander Robotnick's studio in April 2012.
A couple of cuts were made to bring the original 20 minute session down to a 10 minute video. No adjustment to the music was made in post-production. The parts played by Alexander Robotnick and Ludus Pinsky are totally improvised, with the exception of the central break and the theme of ascending notes that gives the title to the track. These two were previously agreed upon by the two musicians. The rhythmic part and the bass line were written on the sequencer in the modular synth operated by Ludus Pinsky. Some other sequencer lines derive from the main bass line.
The computer appearing in the video was used to record the performance on 24 tracks.
The video was shot by three standing cameras. The shots made by the mobile camera were mainly used to fill in the cuts.
"Ascension" is part of The Analog Session's forth-coming album featuring Alexander Robotnick and Ludus Pinsky that will be released in November 2012 by Hot Elephant Music.

"To address the grave concerns of one Mr. J. Woodall of the fine municipality of York in olde Blighty, I have crafted this elegant new piece of crap to alleviate his worries about me never using drums in any of my pieces of "music".
The musical line, such as it is, is a Q960 sequencer driving an SSL Model 1200 VCO (the output of which is being fed into a Super Sawtor then from that into an STG Sea Devils Filter). The honking big bass drum is a bit of Dotcom pink noise running through the fantastic MegaOhm CdS lowpass gate with a tiny bit of resonance and lots of CV control from a standard Dotcom envelope generator. Triggering for the bass drum is provided by the STG Trigger Mini-Store.

"Apple has just released iTG33 iPad editor, our dedicated iControlMIDI iPad editor for the Yamaha TG33.
The TG33 is a great sounding synth but very hard to program.
iControlMIDI for the TG33 implements all the Voice parameters including Vectors.
The TG33 can be edited using the following Pages on iControlMIDI: • Page 1: Common parameters and FX parameters • Page 2: TONE A parameters • Page 3: TONE B parameters • Page 4: TONE C parameters • Page 5: TONE D parameters • Page 6: VECTOR Level 1-7 parameters and VECTOR Level Speed parameter • Page 7-13: VECTOR Level 8-50 parameters • Page 14: VECTOR Detune 1-7 parameters and VECTOR Detune Speed parameter • Page 15-21: VECTOR Detune 8-50 parameters • Page 22: Common Name parameters
To offer a better workflow, iControlMIDI will: • iControlMIDI automatically enables the ENV parameters if ENV Type is equal to USER • iControlMIDI automatically disables the ENV parameters if ENV Type is different than USER • iControlMIDI automatically enables the TONE C and TONE D Pages and Vector X parameters if Configuration is equal to A-B-C-D • iControlMIDI automatically disables the TONE C and TONE D Pages and Vector X parameters if Configuration is equal to A-B"
