"This photo nearly got me arrested by the '911 police.' They pulled up in a truck that said '911' on it and then yelled '911' at me and felt me up and threatened to arrest me. then they were distracted by an actual crime about 10 minutes into the interrogation about my dastardly plan to take photos of public transit for my sister's children to look at.

I pointed out to them that railroad photography was the number one most popular subject of amateur photographers in the world. they just yelled '911' at me and told me the 'FBI' was going to visit me. i'm probably on a no-fly list over this bullshit, which is fine because i never fucking fly anyway.

Oh about the music. This is my obligatory tribute to TD. (Completely unlike the rest of my catalogue which is a voluntary tribute to TD.)

Both tracks were recorded as one contiguous take in the studio direct to 2 track and no editing was engaged. No processing other than compression was employed in the computer.

"The CS-10 has a cracking multimode filter, but it won't self oscillate unless provoked. In this case I've split the output signal (using the dry output of a analogue delay pedal) and fed it back into the synth's audio input. This overdrives the filter and unleashes all kinds of self-oscillating consternation. The Pianet is going through my favourite Pianet treatment, the Digitech BP8. The whole thing is just improvised live into Cubase and spat out as an mp3 for the interweb."

"Held on October 28th, 2006. This is the full movie and some preparations of the day before. The goal of this meeting was to do an improvised electronic music concert like those of the Tangerine Dream in the seventies by some fans.

The Gasometer in Oberhausen is an unique location. The Oberhausen gasometer, the largest disc-type gas holder in Europe, is an industrial monument located in Oberhausen, Germany. It was constructed between 1927 and 1929. It has a long reverb because of its height 117.5 m (385 ft) and its diameter of 67.6 m (222 ft).

The three guys who performed this unique concert are:

I produced the PCB for the Aviator and added the extra IC socket so that it would connect to the Emu Modular. It outputs 1 Volt increments meaning you can get instant Octave shifting. In my system I will pre-patch this rather than use the sockets. Question is would it be better not to have the sockets? If anyone is interested in getting one for their Emu Modular let me know. I already have the PCBs and about to get the front panels made."

"Vintage ARP Solus mono synth for parts or restoration. Powers up and makes noises that can be altered with controls but when you press the keys no note changes happen. Who knows maybe I'm doing something wrong, I'm just the dumb guitar player. This was thrown in on a trade many years ago. I had thoughts of having it repaired but now I'd like to see someone get it who'll understand and use it. Nothing inside looks or smells burnt, I tried touching-up the solder joints hoping that would fix it but nothing got better or worse.It is beyond my skill set of repair and collecting dust. It has 5 broken faders (master tune,VCO 2 waveform mix,ADSR decay, sustain and release) but there is enough of the fader shafts left that they can be adjusted with a little effort.The knobs for the 5 broken faders are missing"

"During a recent visit to Japan, Dubspot instructor and globe-trotting performer Abe Duque got a chance to road test Keith McMillen's QuNeo 3D controller and was impressed. The QuNeo is a USB MIDI controller that offers pressure sensitivity as well as directional control on a series of low-profile pads and sliders. We've had our eye on the QuNeo for some time and have been eager to see how it performs in real-life situations. Abe's report shows a multitude of uses for controlling Ableton Live's clips, effects, and envelope parameters in real-time. He found that while the touch-sensitive interface may take some getting used to, it also provides numerous control options that don't exist on most other MIDI control products.

The QuNeo pad MIDI controller from Keith McMillen Instruments brings a fresh design philosophy to a market dominated by endless variations on the same common designs. While its pads appear superficially like those of an MPC or NI's Maschine, the QuNeo also adds touch recognition in multiple dimensions. The "3D" in its name refers to the fact that its sensors can send velocity, pressure, and location information in addition to simple on/off note triggering. The drum pads can send x/y axis information, or each pad can send 4 separate note/pressure commands, one from each corner, making the 4×4 pad array into an 8×8 grid of 64 triggers. Some pads can also send direction and width information. The QuNeo's dimensions are also identical to an iPad's, which allows you to use it with popular iPad stands and accessories.

"This quickly recorded demo of my FutureRetro Mobius sequencer is post-sale and pre-shipment. I can't remember if I had ever really tried this after I purchased it used years ago. I know I powered it up at least. I should have kept it but, oh well. The existing sequences I'm playing with were most likely programmed by the previous owner.

The patch it is controlling is two Synth Tech MOTM-300 VCOs Pulse out with MOTM-380LFO for PWM, a MOTM-440 VCF, MOTM-800EG and MOTM-190 VCA into a Roland M-120 line mixer. One effects send of the mixer goes out to a Modcan 59B delay then to a Grove Audio PM Resonator and then to a COTK C1660 Phase Processor before returning. The other effect loop goes to a Roland RSP-550 effect unit set to a Hall reverb."
