I was privileged to see him perform live in Toronto in the early 80’s, he was in a circular mesh like cage in the middle of a disco, lit from below, he was playing:

Update via Lee: "Here is a very good bit from the Toronto Global & Mail I just came across. He sued Pepsi- Cola for 'misappropriation of identity' after he's friends from a Canadian band called 'Rough Trade' called him and told him they just came from a Pepsi - Cola ad shoot and 'there was some guy there dressed up just like you.' He won the case, but didn't get any money!

There is also a outstanding brief interview of Nash talking about opening up for Elvis Costello at the legendary El Mocombo bar in Toronto and tells a funny story of getting kicked out of this own gig, at the end he says 'and that's Rock & Roll'"

The classic Moog sound comes from its distinctive 24 dB lowpass voltage controlled analog filter. There is also a 12 dB low-/band-pass filter which emulates the classic sounds of Oberheim synthesizers.

The SE-1 uses three discrete voltage controlled analog oscillators for genuine analog synth sounds. And that's three VCO's, just like the Minimoog. I love the sound of this unit. The Moog Ladder Filter sounds just like a Mini-Moog. The 12db/Oct "SEM" like filter is great when you need more high end content in the sound. It's got everything the Mini-Moog has and more - Ring Modulator, Sample & Hold, Velocity, 4 envelopes, more modulation options, two filters, etc.

Note: this unit is in perfect working condition with one exception. Occasionally, the display will go "random". This does not affect the sound. It does not affect the function. It does affect the interaction with the menu navigation, because the information in the display is non-nonsensical."

This is a complete project I created using SONAR X2 and several instances of Wusik 4000 plus some drum loops. The first set of drum sounds are from Wusik 4000.

A total of 14 x Wusik 4000 Instances, 6 x Audio Tracks (for Drum Loops and Vocals) all running on a simple 1.8Ghz Celeron Dual Core. Project CPU usage peaks at 60%. But I had to freeze 3 tracks that had very complex presets on (multi-layers).

"I composed Inarmonique 1 as a first study on spectral composition using sine wave interference patterns, aka Jean-Claude Risset's harmonic arpeggio. I have written previously on this topic here.
The particular approach of the piece is to use "spectral scans", that involve the beating effect, of inharmonic partials.

To get the result I implemented the famous Risset instrument in chucK, wich, compared to csound, in my opinion allows for greater freedom of instrument design and parameter setting, given its OOP nature..."

EWI & Modular Big Band - Here In A Smokey Room

"After working with David Hogan on various other projects and talking modular we new straight away that with the recent arrival of an EWI (Akai Electronic Wind Instrument) into David's set up we had to get the modular synth hooked up.

This is the first in a series of videos using the midi out from the EWI into our eurorack modular set up. Using the standard pitch and gate information as well as volume and breath control from the EWI we've managed to created some highly playable and expressive patches. We quickly created some modular drum hits and created a back drop before multi-layering all the parts in Cubase. Very little mixing and no FX. Just modular and EWI.

The first track is Here In A Smokey Room, arranged by D. Hogan.

"Insane delay , looper , modulation processor that can do everything from tank like reverbs and flanger / chorus effects to see sick delay lines .It can also freeze the input and totally glitch stuff out if you want it to ( listen to my demo linked below )

Really these things are rare and really really cool if your into strange delays and effects.

In terms of sound its a very clean and quite analogue sounding digital delay that can go into long tape loop style processes or short flange and metallic verb effects , It has an lfo and so can also do pitch modulation effects , wow and flutter, mad seasick sounds and picth trills and stuff.It has a freeze / looper that further adds to the mayhem but it can do some lovely subtle picth modulated delays at the most basic level and ping pong repeats and stuff like this and its really a cool device."

"Self sequencing modular patch built around a prototype which goes by the name of -Darwin- and is best described as a evolving trigger sequencer.

Darwin is triggering the main sequence which is coming from a Braids oscillator (CSAW) which is then fed through one filter of the Korgasmatron a Spring Reverb and Echophon.

Bass is coming from a STO which is fed through the second filter of the Korgasmatron.

Pitch is controlled two Pressure Points and a uScale which is shifted whenever Darwin's sequence is changing.

A third Pressure Points is used for muting channels on the Mutamix.

Drums were quickly put together using a bunch of Doepfer filters and a noise source."

He states the SH-101 has three oscillators. It only has one. What he's referring to are the mix levels of the two oscillator wave shapes and the sub oscillator. There is also a noise source.

This is an original track, one take and live play.
I will try to demo some of the features.

I was thinking about adding another drum machine to my setup to chain different performances together. I was considering the Volca Beats but wasn't sure it would completely satisfy my needs. Since I'm not very good at selling stuff I don't use - I try to make puchases I won't regret.
I have heard alot of you guys - my fellow YouTubers - make GREAT music and beats with the Volca Beats - so I went to the online second hand market to look for one. But the second hand prices are still too close to the original price.
Then I started to look at the old Electribe S1 (ES1) Which is a rhythm sampler. Suddenly I stumbled upon this Electribe ESX-1 - and I didn't have to consider for long before I made the seller a bid that he accepted. Like the ES1 the ESX-1 is a sampler so I can sample or import any drum sound that I like and therefore can make whatever I want of this amazing machine!

I have been wanting an ESX ever since I saw Denkitribe play it in some of his videos.

I would like to dedicate this video to my wonderful wife who supports my crazy synth music endeavour with love and understanding :')
