"A real surprise: Vermona drumDING combines the analog drum power of the DRM-1 with a creative and live-ready sampler/sequencer. It's still a prototype, and the name isn't engraved on the front panel yet, but the concept is impressive.
drumDING consists of two separate sections that work closely together. The drum synthesizer sits at the top, exceeding the capabilities of the DRM-1 in many ways. While the DRM-1 has eight specialized channels, this one has only one instrument. However, the parameters can be tweaked to such an extent that all types of drums can be convincingly realized: kick, snare, clap, toms, percussion, cymbals, hi-hats, etc.
Anyone familiar with Vermona drums knows the level of sophistication. However, the circuitry of the DRM-1 hasn't simply been adopted; everything has been redesigned. And so some functions, such as the continuously variable filter type, have become more flexible.
The sound you've just tweaked can be sampled on the fly and programmed into the sequencer. Then you can move on to the next sound. A project can store 16 samples, which are played by six sequencer tracks.
An SD card serves as the storage medium, so a large number of projects can be available on the device.
The sequencer offers all the features you'd expect from a modern device: swing, parameter lock, polymeter, etc. Within a pattern, various functions can be applied to the sampled sounds, such as pitch, reverse, decay, as well as some DSP-based effects, including bit crusher and overdrive. The parameters can be varied per step, just like a sample selection.
The device has individual outputs for the sample channels and the analog voice channel, MIDI I/O and USB, as well as main and phones out."

"Karl Ekdahl, also known as Knas, is a Swedish-born, US-based artist and electronic musical instrument luthier. He designed the widely-loved esoteric analog desktop effect—the expressive spring reverb, Ekdahl Moisturizer. This year at Superbooth, Karl introduced a wild-looking electro-acoustic instrument called FAR. These instruments are based on the principle of extracting different harmonics from a vibrating string by precisely controlling the speed and pressure of a bowing wheel. Naturally, we were eager to learn more about this development.
In our interview, Karl provides a unique look into the world of Knas, exploring its history, ethos, and philosophy. He discusses his approach to instrument design, the concept and technology behind FAR, and other instruments created by Knas. Additionally, he highlights the important role of Baltimore's artistic community in his work, continuously emphasizing along the way that Knas is and has always meant to be more than just a gear company."

"🎛️ Novation Bass Station II Swifty Limited Edition – The iconic synth with a new look! 🎨
At Superbooth 2025, Novation celebrates the return of a classic – in a brand-new design! The Swifty Limited Edition of the legendary Bass Station II combines analog power with striking retro artwork designed by British graphic designer Ian Swift (aka Swifty)."
Together with visionary British graphic designer Ian “Swifty” Swift, we’ve reimagined our iconic paraphonic synthesiser in his inimitable DIY style and packed it with fresh, new artist packs from Bass Station II power users Legowelt, Pecq, and Maria Chiara Argirò.
Key Features
Limited-edition colourway
Includes 60 new artist patches
Two analogue oscillators
Two characterful filters
Incudes AFX and Paraphonic modes
Analogue soul.
Since 2013, Bass Station II’s deep capability, raw character, and unbeatable value have made it a modern classic. Now, together with British designer Ian “Swifty” Swift, we’re reimagining it with a fresh, new look, that brings underground attitude to a synth that's long been a driving force in electronic music.
Powerful analogue oscillators
Bass Station II’s true-analogue signal path begins with two tuneable, syncable oscillators with four waveforms each plus, a sub-oscillator for even more low end and adjustable portamento. The two dedicated LFOs allow for modulation of other parameters via four waveforms of their own.
NOISE generator - pink, white and channel balancing.
FILTER 1 and FILTER 2 - CV controls.
LINK switches to control two filters and CV at the same time with one slice knob. SOFT/HARD cutoff control Technical specifications:
Input audio signal level: Max 1.5 V Modulation CV input: - 5 to +5 V or 0 to + 10V
Power supply: universal mains adapter 100-220V / 12V 1A out Filter weight: 0,7kg
Packed weight: 1 kg
Dimensions: 175x135x50mm
WARNING! Before using the device, turn it on for 5-7 minutes and let it stand. The control transistor should warm up. So that in SOFT mode there is no feedback when the FREQ knobs are in zero position. If you overdo it. The UD1208 chips used in the filter are very sensitive and are never the same. Therefore you will not mathematically get two identical filters. Which is an advantage when using the unit in stereo.

"Korg 707 49-Key Synthesizer in retro 1980s bright blue.
In very good condition. Tested and works. Was used in the 1990s, and has been carefully stored since. Includes heavy duty and nicely cushioned carrying case.
"Unit was almost fully recaped, the infamous black foam was removed and pcb cleaned, some faders were replaced and others were taken apart and cleaned. The rare Reticon SAD512D BBD chipsets that make the lush chorus fx were replaced (they often die on those synths) and the synth was calibrated.
It plays and sounds like it should. Some faders may still crackle a bit but nothing to be worried about. Some of those faders, the dual gang ones are simply unsourceable."
Details on the OCTOLFO, Multipass, & Resonator follow.
OCTOLFO – Eight-Voice Voltage-Controlled LFOs
For all Eurorack users, here comes your mega LFO. And for those of you who have already joined us on our journey into polyphonic patching heaven, this is the one you've been waiting for. The Octolfo consists of eight fully independent LFOs with plenty of controls, lots of waveforms, and the ability to load your own waveshapes. Clock-sync it or let it free-run. Use one-shot cycles of waveforms to create unique envelopes, and reset LFO cycles from your notes. All eight LFOs are available simultaneously on regular jacks and Polytip jacks—both outputs and CV control inputs. CV is mappable to parameters, and the entire setup can be saved as a “preset.” This module brings polyphonic modulation into our new world of polyphonic patching.
Multipass – Eight-Voice Multimode Filter
Please welcome the second filter in our polyphonic series: the Multipass. This one carefully recreates the rare OB-X filter design (not the later CEM-based OB-Xa), delivering the sound of the ’80s and early techno.
It features extended signal levels on inputs and outputs for an even broader tone range. LP, BP, and HP modes are poly-voltage controlled and simultaneously available per voice through Polytip, and via a mixed output jack. Each filter mode has manual gain control via dedicated faders. Frequency control is polyphonic and can be over-modulated by a mono signal with adjustable scaling. With all its poly mod inputs, this filter goes far beyond its classic roots.
Where and how much?
The first batch is ready, and we expect to begin shipping to shops soon. Price will be in the $500–$600 range.
Resonator
An extended design based on the analog resonator from the 1975 Polymoog synthesizer. This classic beauty works with everything from drums to polyphonic audio, adding lush resonating swirls.
There are three resonators, each with a selectable band. Each has voltage control for every parameter, nine CV inputs in total. Multiple gain stages (master input, resonator gain, and mix output) allow fine control and help manage clipping. Emphasis CV range boundaries prevent runaway self-oscillation. A true-bypass switch makes it easy to compare processed and dry signals—perfect for leaving it patched in and engaging only when needed.
Where and how much?
The first batch is ready, and we expect to start shipping soon. Price will be about $245.

Update: press release follows:
The Roland SH-4d Desktop Synthesizer expands its creative potential with Version 2.0. The free upgrade gives electronic music producers new sonic capabilities with two expressive new OSC Models, pattern chaining for streamlined performances, and serious workflow refinements.
Two new OSC Models
STEP for step-based LFO modulation to produce dynamic movement within tones. From rigid, classic analog step sequencer-inspired phrases locked into the groove, to experimental soundscapes with curves, swells, bleeps and bloops.
HARMONIC for rich, layered sounds with a classic drawbar organ layout. Prime for creating essential house bass tones, bell-like chimes, deep pads, and powerful organ sounds with hands-on control of four harmonically tuned drawbars.
Workflow refinements
PATTERN CHAIN for streamlined hands-free performances and song construction.
SYSTEM-LEVEL FX options for consistent Reverb, Delay, and Chorus settings across all patterns for cohesive mixes in the studio as well as uninterrupted pattern switching while playing live.
QUICK OVERWRITE for saving tone and pattern data with less steps, never breaking creative momentum.
UNDO/REDO function now supported up to 10 times for worry-free experimentation when creating sequences.
New SUB-STEP options for off-grid note entry, shifting synth and drum hits behind-the-beat for looser grooves and greater variations when paired with Probability.
Extended MIDI control with improved program change implementation and new options for which MIDI data is transmitted to external devices.
