"We take a ride through several major freeways in San Diego and the surrounding areas. We start downtown on I-5, cross CA 163 (which we featured in a previous video), and turn east on CA 94. We follow CA 94 for a while, and then turn north on CA 125. Shortly thereafter, we turn east onto I-8, and then north onto CA 67, where we meet CA 52 in anticipation of the next video...

"A haunting little tone from the TC5000. This one’s got the feel of a sonar pulse mixed with a whimper—like a voicy cry from somewhere deep underwater. Nothing fancy, just raw character from a single sequence."
"In order to better understand, feel and hear the nonlinearity inherent in this amazing system I used just the Compact Oscillator Network (CON) and made two experiments: 1) slowly turning the Map Select from maximum to minimum 2) slowly sliding the f(C) slider from minimum to maximum. All sounds, effects and spatialization coming solely from the CON.

This is a video I made during the repair and service of the rare Cordovox CDX organ which featured the Moog Satellite. These are sometimes better known as the Moog White Elephant. I take you through a tour of the inside of this beast as well as give you a demo of the type of sound this instrument produces.
Note: weighed the unit after the video and it weighs in at 76lbs or 34.47Kg
"Rare 1998 MIDI drum machine uniquely modified to massively extend the sound design possibilities with three pre-set effects switches and a custom 25 point modulation patch bay. These modifications generate an array of original sounds, effects and rhythmic variations. Making a single connection on the patch matrix can dramatically alter the output but applying multiple connections produces an increasingly complex, sometimes aleatoric range of grinding, metallic, fractured, reversed, tonal, bit crushed, flanged, distorted, aliasing and delayed effects, arcade sounds and digital noise, alternative rhythmic patterns and additional accents. The five included patch cables can also be stacked for further sonic manipulation. The unit functions as normal when the patch is not in use.
Electronic Hand Percussion Instrument and Speaker System for Musical Exploration, Relaxation, and Meditation
Los Angeles, CA, June 24, 2025 — Roland introduces Mood Pan, a unique electronic hand percussion instrument that encourages anyone to discover the restorative power of music. Inspired by acoustic handpans, Mood Pan features tranquil tones and a simple design requiring no previous musical skills. Along with providing immersive audio for the onboard sounds, its built-in 2.1 speaker system can also play soothing background music and stream Bluetooth audio from mobile devices.
Mood Pan is made for mindful people and modern musicians seeking a versatile and expressive new instrument. It blends the soulful resonance of acoustic handpans with multiple sound variations and other flexible features made possible with Roland’s advanced percussion technology. While many musical instruments require learning and skill development, Mood Pan can be enjoyed by everyone, with no experience or special technique necessary.
The electronic design of Mood Pan offers many benefits over traditional handpans. Users can explore different instruments and tunings, enhance sounds with onboard effects, and silence the onboard speaker by plugging in headphones for quiet solo sessions.
Mood Pan can be placed on the user’s lap or a tabletop. The instrument is played with finger taps, and its nine pads can be assigned to different musical scales, making it impossible to hit a wrong note. It’s also possible to tap the sides with the palms to create percussive sounds and resonant tonalities, mute sounds with a touch, and use a special control pad to add expressive colors to certain tones.
Selectable sounds include handpan and other acoustic percussion such as tongue drum, gamelan, crystal bowl, and singing bowl. There’s also a sitar voice, orchestral strings, synth pad tones, and four user locations with selectable sound variations.
Mood Pan offers environmental music and nature sounds, along with four modes to play soft soundtracks for mornings, evenings, relaxing, and yoga sessions. It also doubles as a high-quality Bluetooth speaker for streaming music from a smartphone or tablet.
The Mood Pan Plus app is the perfect partner to extend the Mood Pan experience. Users can adjust the onboard sounds, choose different environmental sounds and effects, and fine-tune the pad sensitivity. The app also includes additional sounds for loading into Mood Pan’s four onboard user locations.
"FM synthesis is notoriously difficult to program — complex, technical, and often unintuitive. Halogen FM changes that. We built it to remove the barriers that have kept so many from exploring the raw, expressive power of FM.
Instead of diving into confusing algorithms or endless parameters, Halogen invites you to discover sound through play. It’s a generative instrument that responds to instinct, not instruction — giving you evolving textures, organic tones, and sonic surprises without requiring deep synth knowledge.
Halogen FM lets everyone tap into the beauty and unpredictability of FM synthesis — whether you’re a seasoned producer or just curious. Your ears lead the way, and happy accidents are part of the design.

"Time for a bonus extra upload. The remix nobody asked for! (I dropped enough hints but nobody took the bait). I couldn't resist doing a version of this song that brought the Underworld version of 'Dark&Long (Dark Train)' with PinkPantheress' 'Illegal'.
Hopefully all previous glitches with the music are sorted and you can enjoy this version. It was programmed and played on just a single Novation Circuit Tracks. If you'd like more details as to how the track was put together check out the videos for the two component parts,"
"Rare and interesting physical modeling rackmounted synthesizer. We did some very minor servicing and thoroughly tested and played this unit and everything appears to be working as it should. Please check with us before attempting to buy it to make sure it's still available as we originally bought it for our studio and may have changed our mind about selling it if it doesn't sell fast."
"This unit has been professionally refurbished and had the following work done to it, requiring 11 hours of highly skilled vintage tech time plus parts costs to make this unit better and probably more costly than others on the market.
-Cleaned unit inside and out. -Replaced all tact switches with new ones so all buttons work reliably, with a light touch. -Replaced original display with a new one that's easier to read under all lighting. -Replaced original slide pot with a perfectly working new one. -Cleaned rotary pots. -Replaced battery with a new one. -Recapped power supply as a preventative measure so this unit hopefully outlasts others. -Replaced terminals for ground wire (x8) PT (x5) (Another preventative measure) -Cleaned key contacts. -Replaced aftertouch sensor with new one, which is usually necessary. -Performed multiple burn in tests. -Verified that all functions are working properly."
"This unit has been fully serviced to make it better than the rest, a process that cost us 22 hours of highly skilled and valuable tech time. The result is a professionally overhauled instrument that's fully functioning and is ready to play, unlike most, and is justifiably more costly than lesser examples. Depeche Mode used this model sampler heavily to create its signature sound in the 80s.
Our tech did the following work to this item:
Fuse holder replaced. 2 molex connectors terminals were replaced. Memory tested, all tests passed. Front panel membrane sheets removed and replaced. Power supply recapped. Replaced defective floppy drive with a serviced one. Replaced 1/4” jack nuts and washers. Cleaned key contacts. Replaced backlight with new one. Multiple burn in tests performed, all tests passed.
Note: These originally left the factory with 6 rubber feet. The one that would normally be found in the back left corner is missing, but thanks to the 5 others, this is a non-issue as it's perfectly stable the way it is. We normally would have just replaced it, but this isn't the fast and easy process it is on most other gear. We can pay our tech to do it though if it matters to you - please contact us for a quote.
This EII is the PLUS version, with maximum memory (17.6 seconds max sampling time)."
Today I am exploring selected standard library samples on Akai X7000. The sounds came w/ my Gotek USB floppy emulator. Recorded direct on iPhone via EPM6 mixer via Go:Mixer:Pro-X. Industrial basses, strings, synths, plucky things, a couple of weird sound fx. This sampler is currently available for sale in my Reverb store.

"This video is for embedding in the product listing for my new Pi HAT which you can see in the video. I designed it to be the way that I wanted - with he 2-button/rotary encoder configuration, just MIDI in and a cover plate to neaten things off.
I'm a little unclear about the authorship of Corridors of Time, I believed it was composed by Autumn Altair (the source of the MIDI that I'm playing here) since it appears on Echoes on Stone Walls which I believed to be original compositions. But I see that it may be by Yasunori Mitsuda. Either way it's beautiful."
0:00 - 1. Dream Machine - With the Sonicware Liven Evoke, I’ve often been playing songs live, without using the sequencer, which I used for almost all of my songs with the Liven Ambient Ø (the two sequencers are very similar). With this song, I use the hold feature to hold some notes of textural sound in a couple of layers, while playing the piano layer live. The piano sound morphs between an acoustic and electronic sound a little bit after I play each note. Around the halfway point, with the chromatic pitch shifting, everything starts to turn into a granular storm (there are no granular effects prior to this), which is helped by the fact that you can cut the dry signal of each track and have a 100% wet mix of the reverb and/or granular sound. Oh, also, I want to give a thank you/shoutout to this video by @BenLevin because I started messing around with the chords that led to this song after watching it: • The secret to EMOTIONAL chords . His channel is one of my favorite music education channels on YouTube, so do check it out!
"A piece for @SONICWARE LIVEN Ambient Ø and @homebakeinstruments8214 Wavestick—ambient music where gentle electronic loops intertwine with evolving filtered drones.
Ambient Ø: Runs through @ChaseBlissAudio LOSSY, giving the entire texture a lo-fi sheen.
Wavestick: Connected to @strymon NIGHTSKY; the wavetable is continuously shifted while NIGHTSKY’s filter is swept in real time."
"A little tape residue that I’m going to clean off of the 4/4 and 3/4 scale screenprint… shouldn’t be an issue at all.
The Mobius is very practical little sequencer in my opinion… I also have a Sequentix Cirklon 2 and it was a breath of fresh air with how fast the Mobius simplifies and assists in creating productive limitations for me to commit to.
No menu divey time consuming pages… just start putting notes in immidiatly and choosing between the 2 time signatures that future retro allows.
Super fun making patterns and transposing patterns on this machine
Lots of sweet spots with pattern lengths and DIN Syncing to my drum machines..
The Mobius can also control vintage cv/gate synths ( SH-101 ) and Hz/v synths like yamaha CS-15 / Korg MS20
You can send clock out of Mobius to control your synths internal sequencer or arpeggiator as well
The little red lcd screen protector has come away from the machine
I removed it so it wouldn’t fall inside of the Mobius and get lost"
"This synth is in excellent condition and perfectly working.
The sound is big, gritty, fatty as you expect from an all analog synth and the filter really scream out loud!!!
Syntar is an analog monophonic synth born to be played with guitar via an hexaphonic pickup. The synth is now converted by Mad Rooster Lab to be played via standard MIDI!!!
It has 2 VCO both are capable of triangle, saw and pulse/square waves. VCO2 is tuned relatively to VCO1 in order to obtain some fat detuning or those classic 5ths and 7ths. Sound is fed though a lowpass VCF (24dB/oct) before reaching the VCA. VCA and VCF have independent envelopes of the atypical ADS variety (no release).
"There isn’t another HS-60 out there in better condition than this. All chips working. Both speakers new. Interior board you can eat off of.
Never been in a smoking environment. Comes with the original box and the sheet music holder and pedal.
Here’s what eBay’s AI has to say about it:
'The Roland HS-60 is a keyboard synthesizer with 61 keys, making it ideal for creating a wide range of sounds and music. With its analog design and built-in speakers, this synthesizer offers a classic and versatile sound experience. Made in Japan by the renowned brand Roland, the HS-60 is known for its durability and high-quality construction. Perfect for both beginner and experienced musicians, this keyboard synthesizer is a reliable choice for exploring the world of music creation.'"
"This listing is for a super rare and virtually unknown Beetle PR-7 Programmer for Yamaha TX816, TX216, DX7 and TX7 Sound Modules. A PDF copy of the manual can be found online. We included a screenshot from the first page in this listing for reference. An amazing secret weapon to make your Yamaha synths come to life!"
"An album of IDM, Drum & Bass, and glitchy electronic music, for the more intense parts of your day. Songs were composed and performed on the Torso S-4, with additions and polish added in the box.

I recently posted a workflow video about why the Torso S-4 was an inspiration to me. Here's the proof.
I started sketching on the S-4, and before I knew it, I found myself writing song after song after song. Most of the songs needed a little more after the fact (the four tracks of the S-4 are not enough for full arrangements, for me), but the inspiration of the S-4 was enough to get me performing even before the song was finished.
So here you have eight songs, performed on the S-4, and then added to in the box as necessary to get them to the finish line. Many of the samples come from my Patreon community's sample pack from last year; a number of the samples come from a DJ Crystl sample pack, especially on the Drum & Bass tracks (2, 5, 7); and some of the samples are from the factory sounds.
Overall, this album is a showcase of how and why hardware can inspire, can surprise, and can lead to performance. It's wonderful to use hardware synths and drum machines, but sometimes audio loops and mangling is where the performance really comes alive. I'm extremely proud of this record and how spontaneous, energetic, and cohesive it is.
"While Atlantix sounds fantastic as a standalone synth voice, there are numerous ways to expand its potential with other modules. We've put together a few patches that add new elements to Atlantix, also featuring Atlx 1U expander module."
"VintageRack (iOS/Mac) is a minimalistic and convenient multi-effect application that contains modules realistically modeling notable retro gear from the early digital era with their inherent aesthetics and atmosphere.
Most of the effects in this application have been inspired and based on the principles of actual hardware from the 70s and 80s, which is great for giving the sound of any instrument the nostalgic and emotional mood of old recordings.
"UNBOXING // IK Multimedia UNO SYNTH PRO X // Part 2 // TWEAKING Presests // No Talking Just arrived here. I could not dive deep into the synth. So I am scatchning only the surfice in this video and my short FIRST IMPRESSIONS of the new kid. Very versatile little machine with paraphonic mode to play triads and program triads in the step sequencer. 2 independet filter. 1 OTA HP/LP, 1 SSM style, parallel or in series. Now a few shortcomings: DISTORSION is welcome but has to be that harsh? Also: A programmable DISTORSION is a good feature but without a programmable overall level BEHIND the DISTORSION it makes the synth almost unsuitable for a live performance as for huge unsustainable loudness gaps between different patches. DELAY and REVERB are only average and far away industry standard. Flexible MODULATION ROUTING but it is quite a mess to readjust levels as there are for instance no dedicated attenuaters for LFO mod levels for the VCF. I understand that there is not much space on the panel 1. But LFO WAVE knob could get a 2nd shift function. Main job: LFO amount, shift-job: wave.... AND it does not feature a power switch. That's really bad when you hooked directly on your computer via USB-C. Every time when you'redone you must tear the plug or the UNO sucks your computer batterie empty. This could be solved. By a hint of a user. Pressing the hold button for a second or two switches the unit off. So at least an OFF SWITCH! The tune knob for the oscillators is multirange: The first 10 minutes plus and minus it increses and decreases in CT steps and in half tones. So you cannot detune the oscillators when shifted in the halftone range. The pots controlling plus and minus CVs could better feature a DENTED CENTER POSITION. For the TUNE knob it is not a big problem as it first advances in cents but adjustment FILTER ENV amount is sometimes very delicate and a quick cancelling of the ENV is not possible without a dented center position. Units with built in sequencer are often hooked up to computers and other machines as via MIDI or USB as slaves. And here this unit badly need a well functioning AUTO MODE so that it switches to slave automatically when an EXTERNAL CLOCK is detected at the input. Most other gear features this. So these were my fist impressions."
"A brief little playtime in the studio today, with two wonderfully inspiring and strangely named instruments. I combined the Mroztronium Grackler, which is a standalone chaotic voltage controlled instrument, which can produce sounds that resemble everything from birdsong to peanuts caught in your throat, with the Meng Qi Wingie2, which is a stereo resonator and 'excites' the sound from the Grackler. I'm playing on the keyboard of the Wingie2, whilst manipulating the filter on the Grackler. Nice and simple, but I like to think, rather effective in its modest way."
