"The Polaris II’s had that chart on the right. There was also a version 2 power supply, but they were not exclusively in the Polaris II. Basically, they were the same machine… They could have mostly version 5 or version 9 (or version 9 star) software. Version 9 star has the better velocity table…"
"wow, this is some crazy stuff... free reaktor ensemble "ahrendees" downloaded from NI forum website... this is very very cool ambient noise generator, i'm impressed. i'm not playing anything, i only run sequencer.
"The PEK is like two classic instruments combined, the Prophet VS and an analog Prophet 5. Add in 3 delays, distortion, feedback, 4 mods, 2 filter modes, a step sequencer, 4 LFOs and 3 envelopes and you have endless synthesizer power! It can sound anywhere from classic to modern. If you are the type of person that is just interested in bass, this beats the Mopho, Tetra, and Moogs because it has 4 oscillators per voice. Trigger all that in Unison mode with Distortion on and thats enough to rip your speakers apart. It can also do pads (Africa), searing leads, trance sounds, and interesting digital sounds like Depeche Mode. Nothing out there is comparable to this keyboard."

DATA LINE MOD - 6 x Toggle switches interupt data flow between CPU and the FM chip. CLOCK SHOCK MOD - Push green button to glitch out the drums. PITCH DROP SWITCH - Drops Pitch. GLITCH KNOB - (Kinda) Linear FM glitching. FEEDBACK OSCILLATOR - Phat dirty Oscillator.
& Multi-coloured Metallic Paint Job on the keys. Colour changes depending on the angle of the light.
Going up for sale soon on the mighty ebay."

Squidfanny - Circuit Bent YAMAHA RX-21 Drum Machine
Instant Hard Techno in a box from this very un-pleasent 1980's midi drum machine.
This nasty little drum machine was my first attempt at spray painting, from some months back. The paintwork is pretty rough, but then so are the sounds...."
via 1stdibs. Spotted and sent in via Brian Kehew: "Look at this thing! From the controls, it may be similar to the Condor/Kondor Wersi made in the 80s, a pretty hip synth. No price, I think you make an offer...."

Update via organfairy: "This Wersi organ is not from the 1970's. It was part of a series with Alpha, Beta (made famous by Klaus Wunderlich), Gamma, and this Delta model. It is from 1984 or 85 and is all digital.
The reason why somebody think it is from the 1970's is probably that it looks very much like the Wersi Saturn that came out in 1976. It was also wide but slim and on two chromed pillars.

Update: word is Daft Punk picked up this clear plexi glass organ. You can see it featured in Mixmag here.
YouTube via squidfanny | August 19, 2010 squidfanny on Ebay "An astonishing array of excellent digital Glitch sounds.
DD-50 Professional MIDI Drum machine, with Reverb, MIDI, Bass/Backing, Record/Sequencer.
Circuit bent reverb (Reverb to Ring Mod). Descrete metal botl-bay. 6 x Toggle switches and 2 x 12 way rotary switches for selecting Glitches. This interface provides greatest access to Glitches, while using least possible amount of the limited space inside the machine.
Each Glitch will generate a new kit of Glitched drum sounds, and there's literally thousands of new kits available by flicking switches, turning knobs and connecting bolts!
EASTER EGG - The DD-50 has an entire GM orchestra inside it which can be accessed with midi. Of course this entire GM orchestra can also be circuit bent :) I might make another video to demo this feature.
Sadly this machine refuses all attempts at accepting precision oscillators, so no pitch modulation :(
Lots of AMP based mods available, but not enough room inside the machine to mount any more knobs/switches."
"A TimeFactor demo I made for the What I Love About My Eventide Stompbox video contest. If you liked this please vote for me at http://www.youtube.com/group/Eventide... before sept 1st!
I use the TimeFactor as a table top delay to quickly create and play delay effects for electronic music. It has quickly become a critical component of my music making gear.
Instruments used; first scene is Cwejman S1mk2, VCEQ-3 and SPH-2 into TimeFactor. All other sound sources are either Nord Lead 3 or Elektron Machinedrum."

"The long awaited "Red Meanie" ! This is a Synth for sale ! It's it not just a modification service .... although that is coming. And it comes with your choice of side rails. There are 3 in this listing to choose from all based on taste. Just tell me which one you would like, or take all three! I've always wondered what a Juno 106 would look like if it had Aluminum sides like the Jupiter 8 and 6. SO I made the sides out of plexiglass and gave them a professional durable "aluminum" paint job. ( I was a professional painter in my previously life) really! Now I'm able to restore synths , (My current life ...thank god! )"

Korg Polysix Analog Synthesizer from the year 1982
part1: the Polysix Arpeggiator and different VCO, VCF, Envelope and Effect settings (drums: TR-808)
part2: some typical Polysix sounds coming soon in 2-3 weeks
The Korg Polysix is a very nice analog synths with a great sound. The sound is very different to the Juno synths.
The sound-character of the SSM filter, the Effect Sektion with Chorus, Phaser and Ensemble is really fantastic."

"This page is the top level to the Steiner Synthasystem I am ressurecting. As this project grows, these pages will have schematics and build notes as well as order forms. I think I am decided that as a module is tested and a final prototype is built, I'll add the page with ordering information."
"Collaboration of Charles Martin and Chi-Hsia (Lisa) Lai. We're producing a new percussion / computer duet using computer vision technology, Supercollider and Open Frameworks. Sounds like fun right?"

"Sometimes I/people wonder if I need all those delays in the studio. This was merely an attempt to use most of them (62%?) in one recording. Some people like fast cars, I like slow delays.
Hard delays used in this recording:
Roland RE-201 Roland RE-301 Roland Re-501 Korg SDD-1200 Dynacord SRS-56 Aria AD-15 Locobox AP S-303 TC Electronics D-Two Ensoniq DP/2
The main sounds come from four loops in Ableton Live. The rest is Korg Mono/Poly, Stylophone and beer."
via this auction "vintage Roland System 100M 191-J rack and five 100M modules...
# 1 x 121 Dual VCF # 1 x 130 Dual VCA # 1 x 140 Dual Envelope Generator and LFO # 1 x 150 Ring Mod/Noise/S&H/LFO # 1 x 172 Audio Delay, Phase Shifter, LFO and Gate Delay # 1 x 191-J Five-Module Rack (117 Volt AC power)
Four original DIN power cables come with the rack, as does one contemporary replacement. Five original, working Roland patch cables (varying lengths, red and black) are also part of the package.
NOTE: The original DIN power cables were so appealing to a studio cat that he took it upon himself to chew on them. All four included cables work perfectly, but do bear scars from the cat’s teeth. Sadly, the fifth DIN cable did not survive, hence the replacement (not shown in photographs).
ALSO NOTE: There are no Oscillators in this package. This rack can be integrated into another System 100M or function as a great piece of audio processing gear. As is, it is not a standalone, tone-generating synthesizer."
"An original song that I wrote myself. This song takes advantage of DUAL MODE in Korg DS-10 Plus. This is the Mysterious Forest... You'll never know what you discover. The music from Super Monkey Ball 2 had some influence in this song. I had a really tough time naming this song... Too many different themes popped into my head. xD"
