Yah MOOG Be There (Moog bass along) & Michael Jackson's Pretty Young Thing
YouTube via Geeljasjes | December 12, 2010 | 6 likes, 0 dislikes
"Another Minimoog Bass along video.
Originally played by James Ingram.
The arrangement is pretty much te same.
I have only added accoustic drums ontop of the Linndrum beat.
There's a coda that takes it back to the bridge and then to the outro which is the instrumental bit rearranged.
I turn the Minimoog up an octave to switch from bass to lead.
I have only used one oscillator on the Minimoog.
The Simmons tom fills are from the new Reel Machines AD-Pack from XLN-Audio.
The Linndrum, which kicks off the track, is my own Linndrum, which sounds more convincing than the Reel Machine samples.
The Prophet-5 was also used."

Michael Jackson P.Y.T. (pretty young thing) Moog Bass along
Geeljasjes | November 19, 2010 |
"My second MJ bass along video.
The backing track I made using Logic.
The funk guitar is coming out of an old Korg TR-Rack.
The Rock guitar is coming out of Garageband.
The drums are Addictive Drums by XLN-Audio.
The vocoder is Logic's EVOC20, which is alright, but not like the classic Roland, Bode, Sehneiser or Synthon vocoders.
Some Prophet-5 used in here as well.
Enjoy and may the groove be with you!!!"

"Slightly remixed version of AOP13, the Vox Humana chords are (I think) now more faithful to the original and I've upped the Moog basses and panned them to give (hopefully) a beefier sound..
This is for Dad....RIP..28/08/35-12/08/10. I remember us so well watching this landmark film together and being blown away by both film and the music.....
Also thanks to Joeri Peters for his superb work in sampling the Polymoog's most famous preset, Vox Humana, and so generously donating it on his website...
Equipment used, Minimoog Model D, Nord Lead 3, Cubase 5, Recycle."

"Description
Improvise and create music playfully with the Reactable mobile. Based on the award winning Reactable as used by Björk on her Volta Tour, this application brings the full creative power of the famous interactive instrument onto your mobile device.
It uses concepts of modular synthesis, sampling, digital audio effects, DJing, and combines them with modern human computer interaction and multi-touch technology.
Based on the very same audio and graphics engine as the Reactable, the mobile version brings a complete range of objects to multi-touch devices:
A set of generator objects:
• loop players, with possibility to upload your own loops,
• synthesizers, with a large range of instruments to select from,
• oscillators, to synthesise pure and complex tones,
• input, to get audio directly from the device's microphone.
A set of effects to modify generated sounds:
• wave shapers: distortion, compression, and resampling,
• delays: reverb, feedback, and ping-pong,
• modulators: ring modulation, chorus, and flanger,
• filters: low pass, high pass, and band pass.
A set of controller objects to modify other objects parameters:
• sequencers, with step-by-step, matrix, or random modes,
• low frequency oscillators (LFO), with different waveforms,
• accelerometer, to fetch data from the movement of the device.
A set of global objects to modify the settings of the entire table:
• tempo, to change the speed of the table,
• volume, to lower or increase the loudness,
• tonalizer, to change the harmony of the melody.
Note: as this application uses both graphic and audio resources extensively, recent devices will provide the best user experience."

"Rare analog chorus/ delay unit made by Roland .One of the best analog BBD based analog delay made. In addition to a delay section is a chorus. The repeat rate is very sensitive and subtle and the intensity knob allows for almost endless repeats. Its a very dark sounding delay with a very smooth sound."

I've had this Minimoog since 1986, and it's been mostly in storage since the early 1990s. I took it in for servicing this year at dBm Pro Audio/Music Services (320 West 37th Street, NYC 10018). It now works perfectly and sounds great. Here's the description of what they did:

"Ensoniq ESQ-M (Rack version of the ESQ-1) features digital waveforms but with analog filters. It also boasts many other analog synth features such as a ring modulator, sequencer, and oscillator-sync. It comes with 40 preset sounds that are easily customizable. What sets this synth apart is its ability to play digital voices, analog voices or a combination, giving you a wide array at your fingertips!"
