Oddest pic of an ARP 2600 ever. I never noticed how thin they were on top. What's crazy about the angle of this particular shot is you can't see where it widens out on the bottom, as you can see in the other pics.
"Excellent, fully working condition.
There are some loose screws on one corner at the back which will need addressing by an expert with music kit. But very well and lovingly looked after throughout its life. Comes as seen in photos."

Therefore here's ten minutes of paraphonic ambient Nyx patches, guaranteed no talking, no overdubs and most definitely no Strymon shimmer effects. Just Nyx with a little stereo delay at the end of the chain to widen things up for headphonauts.
Oh, and there's cheeky beats from the Octatrack on one patch, just for a bit of fun."

Erica Synths Pico MScale demo
Published on Nov 8, 2017 Erica Synths

via Erica Synths
"Erica Pico MSCALE (Moog Scale, to be specific) is precision scaler to adapt Moog Mother 32 to eurorack standard 1V/oct control voltages.
Those, who own Moog Mother 32 know, that it requires -5V - +5V on 1V/oct input to operate in full range, while the eurorack standard is 0V - +10V. So, to control Moog Mother 32 from a eurorack sequencer you need to bias a sequencer output for 5 volts down. And vice versa – Moog Mother 32 sequencer outputs -5V - +5V on 1V/oct output, and, if you wish to control some eurorack VCO from Moog Mother 32, you need to bias it 5 volts up. This is exactly what MSCALE does – it has two sections – upper one adds 5V to the input voltage, other subtracts 5V form the input voltage. Of course, the module is not limited for use with Moog Mother 32 only. You can use it as a regular eurorack precision voltage scaler.
Features:
Precision scaler to adapt Moog Mother 32 1V/oct to eurorack standard
Moog to eurorack section
Eurorack to Moog section
High precision, high temperature stability
Skiff friendly, compact design
With Pico Series we challenged ourselves – can we make ANY superior functionality synth module 3HP wide and affordable? Yes, we can."

eowave quadrantid swarm - experimental touch synthesizer now on Kickstarter

eowave quadrantid swarm is now on Kickstarter, with a ship date of March/April. The following are the details from the campaign:
"The Quadrantid SwarmPast research and development at eowave has contributed to a range of successful products aimed at musicians and performers - including sensor interfaces, MIDI devices, modular synthesizers and more. This has been honed and distilled in the Quadrantid Swarm. It is an instrument that has been designed openly - to be used with MIDI, alongside your modular synthesizer/CV sequencer or to be explored as a standalone drone/sequencer/generative synthesizer.
Modes
The QS now features 8 modes. Each should be considered a springboard for musical exploration, rather than a preset. The modes are not direct emulations of existing instruments, but they borrow on inspiration from their namesakes. We found that this was the best way to retain the immediacy of function per button design while offering a generous feature set. The QS will ship with a cheat sheet that details the specifics behind each mode - the waveform, perc sound and character effect.
Organ - Strings - Drone - Noise - Grains - Perc - Metal - Chiptune
Let's take a closer look...
Front panel
Building on the feedback we received at Superbooth 17, we have redesigned the front panel to be easier to read. This matte black PCB pictured below is the final material we will be using on production, although there is a mistake on this panel that will be rectified (white layer inverted!).
Oscillator
The oscillator section is a digital wave generator. In sequencer mode (activated when you push start) the spread control multiplies the waveform up to 8 waveforms. In live mode (sequencer not active) the spread control will not affect the oscillator because the 8 waveforms are spread across the touch keyboard to be used as a simple polyphonic synthesizer. Character controls a different effect or folder depending on the mode. The character effects/folders will help you design timbres that will range from clean and glassy to dense and distorted.

iOptigan - MIDI Chord Detection Modes Tutorial
Published on Nov 7, 2017 optigandotcom
iTunes: iOptigan - Stefan Stenzel
"Another iOptigan tip, until we finish the user manual: there are three triggering modes for the chord buttons, selectable in the settings.
"MIDI G#0-E2 for Chords" lays out all the chord buttons in a chromatic mapping. Priority was placed on fitting everything with the keyboard scale on a standard 61-note keyboard, so the layout isn't very intuitive, but it gets the job done. Chords are at the lower end of the keyboard, SFX tabs at the upper end.
"MIDI Chord Detection I" is a more intuitive mode, which allows the user to simply finger the desired chord in the low octave of the keyboard. Playing a C maj triad produces the C maj chord. Playing a C min triad produces the C min chord. etc.
"MIDI Chord Detection II" allows for more extended chords to be played using the time-honored Optigan technique of playing two chord buttons at once to approximate more complicated chords. There's alot of trial-and-error involved with this, and results vary depending on the disc, but if you finger, say, a Cmaj7 chord on the keyboard (again, in the low octave), iOptigan will play the C maj and E min chords simultaneously. Try fingering other extended chords to see what you get, and you'll likely stumble upon some unexpectedly pleasing combinations!"

Cwejman Journey
Published on Nov 7, 2017 Dudadius
"All sounds from Cwejmam. Orthogonal Devices sequencing.
Patch Notes.
This patch was inspired by Maho Cwejman asking if anyone had some ADSR-VC2 or CTG-VC videos. I didn’t want to do a demo, but I had the idea that I would do a Cwejman-centric patch and use those modules as the back-bone.
All of the sound sources are from the Cwejman family. Just supplementing with the sequencers and some modulation sources.
Drone is Monome Ansible controlling the PH8 as an oscillator in the QMMF4. 2 of the Ansible channels are modulating the QMMF’s frequencies to create a shifting chord sequence. The whole shebang goes through one side of MMF2, the and FSH-1 for effects. Malekko Varigate-8 is running the rhythmic modulation on that.
Rhythm. Kick is the CTG hitting the MMF6. Release time is modulated by the CV out of the Eloquencer, which is programming all the of the rhythm tracks.
‘Snare’ is the BLD. Hat is the RG6 going into the VCA-2P, which has it’s panning being modulated by a Batumi.
All of the percussion goes into a MX4S. One side goes to the main mixer, WMD Performance mixer, and one side goes into the side-chain input of the DP2.
Melodics.
Still wrapping my head around the Orthogonal Devices ER-101/102, but they are driving three voices.
Bass is a VCO6 into the MMF1s.
Middle and upper voices are the two sides of a VCO-2RM into a DMF2. They both go to the VCA_4MX into the input of the DP2. The percussion is side-chaining all of the melodics there.
Then they all go through the SPH2 for a little stereo fun.
I’m using Intellijel Rainmaker and Audio Damage EOS reverb for effects.
There is a slight amount of Electron Analog Heat on the whole thing. Mastered with Izotope Ozone 8, Vertigo VSM2 and Fab Filter Limiter.
Whew…."

"Hey guys back again with yet another modified Stiener Parker type 12db per oct VCF, this based on a mashup of Ken stone and Yves Ussons schematics.
I have increased the diode ladder from 10-12, and also the size of the capacitors in the ladder and also my own tailored trimming for keyboard tracking.
There is also a trimmerble diode pair in the resonance network , which can at some points sound like a nice distortion pedal and tames the wild resonance. i have also changed values in the Freq Cut and Res potentiometers resistance to ground to compensate for the bigger change in top end content.
PLEASE USE HEADPHONES OR SPEAKERS TO CATCH THE LOW END PROPERLY ;-).
Again many thanks to Yves Usson and Ken Stone for their inspirational circuits."

4ms IN/OUT: Tapographic Delay (TAPO) - Marc Kate
Published on Nov 7, 2017 4mspedals
"Using the QCD as the master clock, two channels of the STS are going into the Tapographic Delay. The force resistance sensor (and preset patches) are generating the polyrhythms, textures, and pitched percussions. With the SMR’s 1V/Octave outputs, pitch is sent to ALM’s Akemie’s Castle. The PEG triggers envelopes with the VCA Matrix for each note, and those notes then hit the DLD to create elongated melodies. The SMR’s six channels are then pinged, or plucked by the RCD gates. The SMR’s notes pass into the Tapographic Delay, accumulating varying tapped patterns."

"Short video while testing the GUI code for the Percussa SSP on the computer (no sound). The basic idea is that you can insert synth modules anywhere you want in the network grid, by moving a selection rectangle using the navigation soft keys and the 'insert' key. When the modules are placed next to each other, the modules are patched together automatically."

"Hi everyone,
It’s Celine here :-) The past week I’ve continued my work on the software GUI for the SSP, and started working on the implementation of the network editor.
The basic idea is that you can insert synth modules anywhere you want in the network grid, by moving a selection rectangle using the navigation soft keys and the “insert” key. When the modules are placed next to each other, the modules are patched together automatically.
[Above] you can see a short video (no sound) where I’m showing you how to insert, change, and delete synth modules. I’m testing the code on my computer using the Percussa Remote control surface, which is connected through USB to my computer.
Meanwhile Bert is hard at work on the PCB layout, he'll write an update later this week to give you the latest news :-)
Until next update!
Bert & Celine"
