There is a lot going on. I use my Ardcore sketches 'Dirty Mirror' and 'Bit Beats' for modulation and audio. Dronebank oscillators go through the Eternal Spring and Hi_Gain, which are being modulated by the three chaos modules. The chaos modules themselves are modulated by the Ardcores and Telephone game and then there is the Tidal Wave too, acting as a liquiddy filter and the Wow and Flutter for Delay and ... well ... it's all just a big hot mess.

"This is a remix on the classic hard-sync patchtips on the 0-coast. The twist here is that rather than triggering the slope directly from the VCO's square output, it is routed through the tempo / clock with a 2 subdivision, turning effectively the slope oscillator into a sub-osc. The general balance is tuned by the balance. The timbre of the sub can be altered using the time factor and the math atenuverter. In the second part of the video additionally clocks a teenageengineering po32 from the midi input gate, adding semi-random accompaniment everytime a note is triggered"

I really appreciate that talented and lovely guys from https://endorphin.es/ choose me as one of five artist who will make tracks using awesome endorphin shuttle system for 'life is a trip contest' [posted here] ! So this is a small backstage video of the track recording process for the contest. Track in the background is not for contest but also made with powerful combination of furthrrrr generator terminal modules. As for my upcoming track I use shuttle system in every part of it for basslines, playing dirty lead sounds, making percussive patterns and noise textures. And what I would say about my "shuttle experience". I found that it is very deep and multi-functional instrument but at the same time it’s easy to start. It is standalone instrument but at the same time it’s fiendly to be integrated with other pieces of my stuff. My favourite things is experiments with furthrrr modulations, infinite possibilities of shuttle control module and punchy percussive possibilities of the system. I’m not playing live a lot, but in the studio shuttle system has a very plentiful sound.

Once again thank you endorphin team! Traditionally thank you Fedor Vetkalov, Jury Mo, Kirill for assisting during recording process, and Natalie who gives me a lot of energy and inspiration. And I say hello to other artist of the 'life is a trip contest' and all endorphin pilots!:)

Customs officer ask me for declaration to bring any letters and manual describing system and translated it via google translator (because they do not rely and believe to declarants translations). So the letter starts with «CONGRATULATIONS! You are one of the 5 chosen artists to be a part of this wonderful experience spreading modular love all over our beautiful planet». I would say that in Russian it’s sounds really strange. Customs officer (quite young, beautiful but very serious lady) - «I do not have any experience in declaration of the spreading modular love» and after these words she became kinder and kinder. @endorphin you are making very creative manuals and letters which creatively translated by google translator for the coldest Russian hearts))))"

"16/8-voice analog sound

The prologue is a polyphonic analog synthesizer with 8 or 16 multitimbral voices. KORG’s analog synthesizer development in recent years has culminated in the prologue, which was designed using 11,000 discrete electronic components. Although the prologue is a flagship instrument, it still retains the inviting feel and accessibility of its predecessors. It features a pure analog path, impeccable sound quality, stunning presence unlike any other poly synth, and the same intuitive interface as the minilogue and monologue, granting you intuitive access to a vast world of analog synthesis.

The prologue uses a structure of 2VCO + MULTI ENGINE, 1VCF, 2EG, 1VCA, and 1LFO. Volume faders are easy to control, plus crisp-sounding LO/HI CUT filters, and a master chain that radically transforms the sound. An analog mixer for performance.

The volca mix is a four-channel analog mixer with an intuitive interface and plenty of connectivity. It provides two mono inputs and one stereo input, perfect for connecting three volca units. The jacks are mini-jacks, allowing you to make connections with just one stereo mini-cable from the headphone out of each volca unit. The channel volumes use vertical faders that allow precise control. The gain can be boosted to adjust the mix balance, and mute buttons are also provided. Each channel is also equipped with a LO/HI CUT filter that lets you control the low and high frequency ranges with a single knob. Use these to dynamically vary the mix, adding a professional feel to live performances with the volca.
Connect an external effect unit for further variety.

The volca mix provides a stereo mini-jack send out and AUX in jack, and send level knobs for each channel. This allows you to use it with an external effect unit in a send/return connection. When used in conjunction with a unit such as the mini kaoss pad 2S, you can also enhance your live performances using standard effects such as reverb, delay, filter, and break. The AUX in jack can also be used as a stereo input channel for a fourth volca unit, an iOS app, or any other gadget, instrument, or device.
As the master of your volca live setup.

The volca mix features an analog sync out jack that can easily be connected to many pieces of KORG gear for tempo sync, and also a play button and tempo knob to control that sync signal. “How a connected ring enhances musical expression and creativity”

The project was born in France three years ago from a freshly graduated young team of passionate musicians. At the beginning, a musical glove was developed in collaboration with a Music Conservatory in France with a purpose of helping disabled children interact with music. With this glove, one was able to explore a new dimension of control, for instance, playing drums by banging in the air. It was the beginning of our development, then we asked ourselves: how can we make this technology available for musicians and add value in the process of making music? So, we started to work with the idea that we could provide a device that would help musicians exceed the technical limits of their instruments: offering them the opportunity to push their creativity beyond limits.

The connected ring is capable of controlling musical effects through predefined movements of the hand. Thus, while using a keyboard, the musician can freely add different variations to the notes played by a simple movement of the hand. For instance, keyboardist can add a vibrato by wavering the hand. Finally, musicians will enjoy more freedom and more possibilities in their composition.

Thanks to nine integrated sensors and real-time gesture recognition algorithm, a motion library especially design to complete keyboards was developed. We work closely with our community of diverse musicians which helps us to understand their need and design a product adaptable to all playing styles.  

The ring comes with a hub which could be connected to a computer or directly to a keyboard. The signal recorded by the sensors is sent to the hub through a proprietary wireless protocol optimized for low latency. The overall system is a patented technology.

The first generation of the ring will be launched through a Kickstarter campaign in March 2018. The pricing of the ring is not defined yet. The goal is to deliver the product by the end of 2018. The product will be officially introduced during the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) which will take place in Las Vegas in January 2018. We are honored to have received a CES innovation award in the “Wearable Technologies” category. Following the success of their Quasar synth last year, Quasimidi have launched the new Technox, aimed firmly at the production of electronic music.

Quasimidi's Technox is the second offering from this relatively new German manufacturer. Their first synth, the Quasar, was reviewed by yours truly in the August 1994 issue of Sound On Sound and I stated there that I was well impressed. The Technox is aimed at the dance end of the synth-buyers' market.The Technox sports a daring silver front panel and is very sparing in its controls. To the right of the power switch is the back-lit 2x16 LCD that allows the Technox to communicate with you in a meaningful way. Further to the right, there are the parameter and value knobs for you to reply to the Technox. Two buttons are designated as 'Enter/OK' and 'Exit' for editing purposes. A further two buttons provide switching across ROM/RAM banks, and also double up to scroll across the 16 'Parts' when the Technox is in multitimbral mode. The front panel is completed by a volume control and headphone output, which I find is always a welcome sight on any synth.To the rear are the main left/right standard jack outputs, the obligatory MIDI In/Out/Thru connectors, a footswitch connector and a 3 prong A/C outlet. Quasimidi make no bones about the fact that they are aiming this machine squarely at the electronic market. The onboard ROMs feature sounds collated from the very core of EDM production, such as the MiniMoog, the Roland TB303 Bassline and the ubiquitous Roland TR606/808/909 drum machines. The Technox uses the same method of sound creation pioneered by the Quasar. This method goes under the acronym of MASS, which is short for 'Multi Algorithm Sound Synthesis'. This essentially means that the Technox uses more than one type of synthesis to produce its sounds -- namely PCM, FM and additive synthesis."

More than 11000 electronic components have been used for its manufacture! The prologue is composed of 2VCO, 1VCF, 2EG, 1VCA and 1LFO. It also features the famous built-in oscillator allowing you to create unique waveforms to refine your harmonies and create breathtaking sounds. Add to that a bipolar low-pass filter and powerful distortion and you have a powerful analog palette to create deep bass, powerful leads, and the beautiful pads that are expected of a polyphonic synthesizer. Also note that the prologue is bi-timbral, and allows you to play two different programs simultaneously.

Despite its analog power, the prologue retains its ease of use and intuitive interface worthy of the latest KORG synthesizers. You will find on the panel the easy selection of channel modes (POLY, MONO, UNISSON, CHORD ...), the powerful arpeggiator, or the simplified selection (and sortable) of the 500 programs.


The freedom of digital

The ingenuity of the prologue goes beyond its analog design. Indeed, by adding to the original 2 VCOs a third MULTI ENGINE digital oscillator, KORG is exploring new experimental sites. This new engine, adding digital and FM waveforms, can be combined with analog VCOs to extend the sound potential of the prologue far beyond that of a traditional analog synthesizer. The noise generator, the VPM oscillator and the high-quality digital effects (modulation and delay / reverb) bring you complex metallic sounds and harmonics that you never thought possible.


Another novelty, and not least, this new engine MULTI ENGINE offers a USER mode that allows you to load oscillator programs of your own creation (and yes!) You can develop on the dedicated software (available in early spring 2018 ). There are sixteen slots for this parameter.

KORG manufacturing quality

Many waited for a Minilogue with big keys. In the end KORG did better, but still listened to users' comments. On the prologue, you'll find Japanese keyboards of 49 and 61 notes, with big keys, that offer the same feel and expression as the high end KORG keyboards.
Beyond the keyboard, KORG has really paid attention to the details of the overall design. The body of the prologue synthesizer offers a black aluminum panel, wooden side panels and metal potentiometers highlighting the beauty of the instrument that will be as comfortable on stage as in the studio.


The first copies of this powerful synthesizer should arrive in France in March. The price of the 8-way model should run around 1500 € and we are talking about 2000 € for the 16-channel version."

A noter aussi que le prologue est bi-timbral, et vous permet de jouer simultanément deux programmes différents.

Malgré sa puissance analogique, le prologue conserve sa facilité d’utilisation et l'interface intuitive digne des derniers synthétiseurs KORG. Vous retrouvez ainsi sur le panneau la sélection facile des modes de voies (POLY, MONO, UNISSON, CHORD...), le puissant arpégiateur, ou encore la sélection simplifié (et triable) des 500 programmes.

La liberté du numérique

L'ingéniosité du prologue va au-delà de son design analogique. En effet, en ajoutant aux 2 VCO originaux un troisième oscillateur numérique MULTI ENGINE, KORG explore de nouveaux terrains d’expérimentation. Ce nouveau moteur, ajoutant des formes d'ondes numériques et FM, peut être combiné avec les VCO analogiques pour étendre le potentiel sonore du prologue bien au-delà de celui d'un synthétiseur analogique traditionnel. Autre nouveauté, et pas des moindres, ce nouveau moteur MULTI ENGINE propose un mode USER vous permettant de charger les programmes d'oscillateur de votre propre création (et oui !) que vous pourrez développer sur le logiciel dédié (disponible au début du printemps 2018). Seize emplacements sont prévus pour ce paramètre.

La qualité de fabrication KORG

Beaucoup attendait un minilogue avec grandes touches. Au final KORG a fait mieux, mais à quand même écouté les remarques des utilisateurs. Vous retrouvez sur le prologue des claviers japonais de 49 et 61 notes, à grandes touches, qui offrent la même sensation et expression que les claviers haut de gamme KORG.
Au delà du clavier, KORG a véritablement porté attention aux détails sur le design global. Le corps du synthétiseur prologue offre donc un panneau en aluminium noir, des panneaux latéraux en bois et des potentiomètres en métal soulignant toute la beauté de l'instrument qui sera aussi bien à l'aise sur scène qu'en studio.


Les premiers exemplaires de ce puissant synthétiseur devraient arriver en France courant mars. Le prix du modèle 8 voies devrait tourner aux alentours de 1500€ et l'on parle de 2000€ pour la version 16 voies."
