MOOG Memorymoog SN 2375

"It powers on ok.
It's dropped all programs.
The main display just cycles numbers randomly.
It makes a sound but not as it should, so don't think you can use it as a non programmable synth.
Most of the controls don't act as they should.
One of the wheels doesn't move freely anymore. Can't remember if it's pitch or mod sorry."

Hopefully someone will get this one up and running. Curious if's a dead battery or more.

Reactable ROTOR music app teaser

Published on Jun 15, 2016 Reactable Systems

"reactable ROTOR is the new application that extends upon the unique interaction and the genuine modular approach once popularised by the reactable tabletop.

reactable took the electronic music world by storm, captivating musicians such as Björk or Coldplay among others, who toured with the first prototypes. Commercially available for several years, the reactable Experience and the reactable Live! are still dream machines that not everyone can afford, nor carry in their backpack... until today!"

"With our exclusive physical control objects especially conceived for the iPad, Reactable ROTOR brings the unique tangible experience of the Reactable Live for the first time to your iPad! This means that while all standard multi-touch capabilities are preserved, you’ll also be able to control any parameter by moving and twisting our tangible pucks over the iPad’s surface."

Softube Modular Introduces Classic Eurorack Modules in Software Including Doepfer & Intellijel

Published on Jun 15, 2016 SoftubeStudios

"LINKÖPING, SWEDEN: high-end plug-in specialist Softube is proud to announce availability of Modular as of June 15...

Modular — Eurorack For Everyone

Introducing Modular: the first truly expandable software modular system that looks, works, and sounds exactly like its hardware counterparts.

A Modular Synth For The Future

Softube’s award-winning modeling experts have combined their talents with the legendary Eurorack inventors at Doepfer and the top minds at powerhouses like Intellijel. With intricate measuring and circuit modeling, they’ve developed authentic emulations of original hardware that are as close to hardware as you can get.

Infinitely Expandable

Once you start customizing, you won’t want to stop — indulge your cool creativity, picking and choosing modules as you go, with new emulations from top hardware brands being released on a regular basis.

Expansive For Experts, Easy For Beginners

Both as an effect and as an instrument, Modular is simple to use, with a massive preset library and clever Utility modules. User- definable Performance modules collect the most important settings presented in a single patch. For the synth pro, Modular is completely compatible with existing hardware, infinitely expanding your creative possibilities.

In short:

Modular is a cross-platform modular synthesizer plug-in standard that features authorized emulations of modules from well-known hardware Eurorack brands.

True dynamic circuit emulation — looks, functions, and sounds like its hardware counterparts.

Basic system contains six authorized Doepfer modules (A-110-1 VCO, A-108 VCF, A-132-3 Dual VCA, A-140 ADSR, A-118

Noise/Random, A-147 VCLFO).

Basic system also contains over 20 Utility modules (such as MIDI to CV/gate, mixers, slew, sample & hold, switches,

multiples, delay, offset, sequencers, clock dividers, logic and signal tools, as well as a polyphonic MIDI to CV/gate module).

Additional authorized emulations from Intellijel are available as add-ons (uFold II, Korgasmatron II, Rubicon). Many more modules from other quality hardware Eurorack vendors to be released.

Simple design of your own interaction layout with the Performance modules in classic synthesizer style.

Softube Heartbeat drum channels and EQ can be used as separate modules for owners of Heartbeat.

More than 200 quality presets included, covering a huge range of styles and sounds.

Can be used both as an effect and as an instrument for your DAW and integrates beautifully with your hardware Eurorack modular.

High internal sample rate within system enables true feedback."

Elektron Officially Discontinues the Machinedrum and Monomachine

via Elektron

"Goodbye Machinedrum and Monomachine

The original Machinedrum was introduced in 2001. The Monomachine in 2003. During the years both machines saw updates, both hardware and software, refining the already from the beginning very robust and truly unique sounding combo. Crispy, weird and gritty – Machinedrum beats and Monomachine soundscapes are instantly recognizable. They have soul.

But all good things must come to an end.

Now, fifteen years after the Machinedrum first saw the light of day, the last batch of these soon-to-be legendary machines has arrived. They will remain on sale in the Elektron webshop for a week. Then they are gone forever. So if you want to secure a piece of future electronic instrument history, act fast.

Thank you Machinedrum and Monomachine. You will always have a very special place in the Elektron heart.

The last Machinedrum and Monomachine units can be bought from the Elektron website until Jun 21. Max one of each machine per order. Please note delivery times range between 1-4 weeks."

Olegtron Confusor 2 generative sequencing

Published on Jun 15, 2016 Olegtron

"Olegtron Confusor 2 is here! In this video Korg Volca Beats gives the master clock to the sequence. The clock signal is divided into lower frequencies, that are fed to gate inputs of Confusor 2, resulting in the patch being rearranged in a rhythmic way. One gate is controlled with an audio signal with PWM modulation, making the switch kind of "fade". Audio signal is also divided into sub octaves are fed into the Confusor 2 signal inputs.

Melodies and variation in the sequence are generated from the clock divider and other sources with the help of an Olegtron R2R-module, a weghted mixer usable as a D/A-converter, multiple and attenuator, all at once!

Add a couple of VCA's and envelopes, a generic oscilator and a filter, and you got a credible imitation of AC/DC's Thunderstruck going on (with enough resemblance to make it to playlist radios, but little enough to avoid a lawsuit).

The module is available right now in a limited hand made edition. To make sure you get one, please write to"
