The Very Rare 1969 R. A. MOOG 1502 Stereo Analog Tape Recorder

video by Round and Wound tape transfers

This one is in via Brian Kehew.
Never knew this existed. Just when you think you've seen it all, something new but old appears. Giving this one the exclusive label as well.

"At Round and Wound, we have over 100 vintage tape machines, many formats needed to transfer people's old tapes into digital files. But this one holds a special place for us: it's possibly the last of its kind, and with an incredible pedigree. This was built circa 1969 by the Moog synthesizer company as part of a never-successful push to create full electronic music studios. Afterwards, this machine toured the world with Chris Swansen's group, Badger - as playback for difficult parts recorded previously in the Moog factory studio. It's not comparable, sonically, to our more modern/professional machines - so we don't use it for transfers. But it has a place of pride among our many machines, as a custom creation from the team at Moog!"

ARP 2600 - Quantized Sample & Hold

video by O.Z. Hall

"This is a short sample and hold demo using a quantizer. It is NOT random sample and hold. VCO1 is in low frequency mode. The sawtooth output is the input to the sample and hold. The result is a series of semitone patterns that are varied and interesting."

Prophet 5 Synthesizer-1980's Funk Demo

video by Deep Synths

"The Sequential Prophet 5 synth was an iconic synth for many genres of music including Funk from the late 70's and 1980's. This demo is done in the spirit of that genre with only the Prophet and vintage drum samples. No effects were used. The track 'Prophet Funk' is produced by and for Deep Synths."

Cherry Audio Introduces the PS-20 - Hot-Rodded Tribute to Korg's Renowned MS-20

video by Cherry Audio

"The PS-20 is an ultra-realistic, polyphonic, hot-rodded tribute to Korg's renowned MS-20. The dual highpass/lowpass filters super accurately recreate the MS-20's famous raunchy sound in all of its squelchy, screaming glory. We’ve reconfigured the patch panel from the original instrument, adding many desired in and out patch points for all oscillators, filters, and VCAs, correcting the confusing terminology of the original, and throwing in a few extras that greatly expand its usability!

Every part of the instrument has been "souped up" with killer features, including 16-note polyphony, a unique three-layer, eight-step sequencer with flexible CV outs, and integrated effects, including a beastly distortion, modulation echo with stereo spread, and a lush digital reverb with fantastic spring and plate emulations.

The PS-20 truly is one of the most quirky and unique instruments we’ve released. Between its sometimes unpredictable filter behavior, and the tremendous flexibility of its patch panel and sequencer, the possibilities are endless, and the creative "happy accident" quotient of PS-20 is simply off the charts!"

Unfiltered Audio SILO + Arturia Microfreak. Ambient Combo. No Talking

video by Anton Anru

"In this video I'm giving a try to the new plugin by Unfiltered Audio/Plugin Alliance: SILO. I'm passing Arturia Microfreak through this beautiful effect. That really interesting how a sequence or arpeggio transform into an entirely different thing. I've mapped some parameters to Ableton Push 2 to make changes in real time. I'd call SILO a true ambient machine thanks to its granular engine and reverb. It sounds fantastic, audio quality is great, and the features will satisfy many sound designers. Great work, SILO!

Shakmat Harlequin's Context

video by Shakmat

"The Harlequin's Context is a theatre piece in 16 scenes and 4 acts. In those scenes, four channels can shapeshift into different roles such as: offset, random, LFO or envelope. Scene selection can be done manually or can be addressed / sequenced with the CV and gate inputs depending on the set configuration.

Packed in 12hp with a ton of features, the Harlequin's Context is a powerful tool to prepare a live set with, and to create very peculiar modulation signals in the studio."

Introducing NOISE: A free white noise user oscillator for the KORG Nu:Tekt NTS-1 Digital Synth Kit!

video by HurpADervish

"Introducing 'NOISE': A custom white noise user oscillator for the KORG Nu:Tekt NTS-1 Digital Synth Kit!

NOISE is a basic white noise generator based on the sine_test code in KORG's logue-sdk. Parameter A has no effect on the sound, while parameter B adds soft clipping to the white noise core signal, slightly boosting the level, reducing the dynamic range, and adding some extra overall presence.

Note that shape or pitch modulation will have no audible effect on NOISE, and same sound will be produced regardless of keyboard pitch information.

Use NOISE along with the NTS-1's filters, envelopes, and effects to create a variety of timbres including percussion, sweeps, and much more!

Or use NOISE to turn your NTS-1 into a white noise generator to use with external synths such as the KORG Volca Modular!

NOISE is free to download from JabunAudio.com, though if you'd like to make a donation I'd be truly grateful for the support, and I hope to learn more and create more custom user oscillators for the KORG Nu:Tekt NTS-1 in the future! Subscribe to this channel or support my work on Patreon for future updates and music, and enjoy making some noise, with NOISE!

Euclid Goes to Party - AUv3 iOS PWM Synth With Euclidean Sequencer

"Euclid Goes to Party has a neat PWM oscillator with an euclidean sequencer.

You can create sick techno bass lines right off the bat just by pressing the play button.

The PWM controlled by an LFO with adjustable range and PWM amount.

You can apply adjustable amount of modulation to low pass filter and shape the sound.

Envelope generator has adjustable attack and decay portions. It also controls the filter modulation."

Mono Drum Widening with the Supercritical Neutron Flux Filter

video by Supercritical Synthesizers

"Here I have a drum patch going where I used couple noise sources and a Clouds Spectral Madness to synthesize a weird noise which I ran trough a mono VCA. The mono signal can be heard first and then run trough the Neutron Flux which spreads the signal to stereo. I used the Mean mode first, then the Yellow Liquid (stereo phaser) and Yellow Crisp (chebyshev) modes. Some kick and hats thrown there too.

The stereo spreading is not anything time based modulation related but entirely different and analog. You can hear some distortion as well as cutoff difference trickery there.

Be sure to listen on headphones or studio monitoring to hear the stereo spectrum!"

Farfisa Organ Test After 20+ Years Storage

video by michael nervOus

"This Farfisa VIP 400 has been in storage for 20+ Years. I used the Gopro max attached to my head and used the max editing software to have my vantage point hands free.

I intended to clean this up and sell it or add to my studio.

After warming up for about 10 minutes it worked great. I also don't know that the warmup time was needed as I tried headphones first with no sound but everything worked after the 10 minutes. Using a small bike speaker the JBL Clip2 plugged into the line out 1/4" stereo adapter to 3.5mm speaker cable.

****** I am still learning the GoPro MAx and the software*****"

Cube Synth Pro - DeepStrings II | Endless Delay | Weird Pad

video by virsyn

"Additive Synthesis can't give you the nice warm sound of vintage gear ?
Look and hear for the opposite to be true.

Cube Synth Pro gives you the ability to mimic the behaviour of the sound characteristic of vintage polyphonic synths by modelling the slight deviation from perfection which are inherent of analog systems."

DIGIT & BEEBO from @Poly Effects - a great modular #multiFX box

video by Nu-Trix The Synth Guy

"Poly Effects have the DIGIT and the BEEBO. Originally these had different features and software running them. Now, they both are running the same software. BEEBO is blue and DIGIT pink. They have the same hardware : a touch screen, 4 audio inputs, 4 audio outputs, MIDI in and out, and an amazing modular quad multi effects. But it goes beyond the effects modules. It also a very powerful modular synth."

Erica Synths Introduces BLACK RING XFADE Eurorack Module

video by Monotrail Tech Talk

"Today we go in-depth with the brand new Erica Synths Black Ring-Fade, a eurorack module with two ring modulators, build in crossfader, and VCA. Both the ring modulators as well as the crossfader can be used as independent modules, but the internal routing makes it very suitable for advanced creative sound shaping.

In the video we start with an overview of the Black Ring-Fade, and then we dive into a series of patches in three sections. We look at ring modulation patches, crossfader patches, and finally a few patches utilizing all sections of the Ring-Fade.

Timetable:
00:00 – Intro
00:41 – Black Ring-Fade
03:29 – Ring modulation
07:41 – Crossfading
09:23 – Combined patches"

The Erica Synths Black Ring-Xfade is an extremely versatile module for sound shaping. It consists of two unconventional ringmodulators/waveshapers, a crossfader that works both for audio and CV and a VCA. Unlike conventional ringmodulator that works only with a signal present on both signal and carrier inputs, the Black Ring-Xfade passes through the signal without alteration, if no carrier is present, but low level signals on the carrier input result in unique waveshaping. Add the crossfader between two ringmodulators (or for an external signals) topped up with the VCA, and you have an amplitude modulation powerplant for your modular system.

FEATURES:
Dual ringmodulaotr/waveshaper
Carrier level adjustment
Voltage controlled crossfader
Manual and CV control over crossfade
Selectable AC (audio) or DC (control voltage) coupling
VCA with selectable bias

Polyend Tracker Wavetables & Tones pack by Michael West

video by Polyend

"My name is Mike West and I started using trackers in about 2010, with Protrekkr. It was the first one I used and I would be still using it today but sadly that project died with too many bugs still remaining. I took a break from tracking and music in general but continued to practice sound design, I really enjoy the sound design process with synthesizers or foley/editing. When 8bitbubsy made the FT2 clone for modern systems I just had to get back into tracking, so I naturally bought a Blofeld to provide the samples, not much longer after that Polyend Tracker was announced. I saw that it shares a lot in common with Protrekkr and I had to have it."
