Doepfer Dark Time CV / Gate Analog Sequencer - Red LED

via this auction
Noisebug (RSS)
"Dark Time is an 2 x8 steps analog sequencer with CV/Gate, USB and Midi interface. It is planned in the first place as an add-on for the Dark Energy but may be used even in combination with other Midi, USB or CV/Gate equipment too.

Features overview
two rows with 8 controls each
for each step:
- rotary control (same knob type as Dark Energy)
- red LED
- three-position switch On/Off/Skip
On = trigger signal is active for this step
Off = no trigger for this step
Skip = step is skipped
- three-position switch Stop/Continue/Jump
Stop = sequence stops here
Continue = sequence continues
Jump/Reset:
If only one of the 16 toggle switches is in the Jump position a Reset is carried out (i.e. sequence jumps to stage 1)
If two or more of the switches are in the Jump position the sequence jumps to the next step with the switch in the Jump position and then continues from this position (until another step with the switch in the Jump position is reached and then the same procedure is carried out again)
several operating modes:
1x16 (i.e. the two rows are daisy-chained)
2x8 (i.e. both rows run in parallel)
1-8 Combi (lower row set individual gate lenght of the upper row)
several running directions:
forward
backward
random
several voltage / tuning ranges: 1V, 2V, 5V (corresponding to 1/2/5 octaves)
quantization on/off/custom scale (custom scale not yet available in the first firmware version)
when quantization is "off" the resolution is still 10 bit (i.e. 1024 steps over the full rotating range of each potentiometer), from this the term "quantization off" is not fully correct, with quantization "on"the resolution is 13/25/61 steps for 1/2/5 octaves
transpose via switch (-1/0/+1 octave), Midi/USB or external CV input
timing control, selected by a three position switch:
internal via built-in clock oscillator with frequency and pulsewidth controls
external via Midi/USB
external via analog clock/start/stop
analog interface for CV/gate/clock/Start-Stop (inputs and outputs, 3.5 mm miniature jack sockets)
Midi interface
USB interface (power supply via USB is not possible)
optically adapted to Dark Energy (same knobs, same depth and height, same wooden side plates and so on)
Powered via external power supply (12 AC/min. 400mA) for 230V
powering the device via USB is not possible, because the analog circuits require a dual voltage (+/-12V)."

Blacet Mini Wave synthesizer module

via this auction

"The Mini Wave is a wavetable lookup type module that features 256 different waveforms stored in a digital memory arranged as sixteen “Banks” with sixteen “Waves” for each Bank. The selection of Wave and Bank is voltage controlled. Each waveform consists of 256 samples or steps that are output by decoding an input voltage or waveform. Using a sawtooth input wave, the samples are output in sequential order, with the frequency tracking the input signal. Using a more complex input waveform allows for non sequential sample output with a more “distortion box” feel. A slow speed input waveform allows complex envelope or LFO type signals to be output. The Mini Wave can also be used as a quantizer, processing control voltage inputs to only output specific steps of control voltage."

Doepfer MAQ16/3 MIDI Analog Sequencer w/BLUE LED

via this auction
Noisebug (RSS)

"Brand New With BLUE LED's, Power Supply, Warranty, & Latest OS!

Fans of vintage analog sequencers will be glad of the MAQ16/3. It combines the creative potential of an analog sequencer with the advantages of MIDI. MAQ16/3 outputs the sequencing data both as control voltages (CV) and as MIDI events. MIDI Out of the MAQ may be connected to MIDI In of any sound generating MIDI device (Expander, Sampler, Synthesizer) or to a sequencer recording the MAQ data. Additionally 3 Control Voltage and Gate outputs are available for controlling vintage synthesizer equipment (e.g. the A-100 Analog Modular System). The main feature of the MAQ is the real time access to the sequence via 48 rotary potentiometers grouped in 3 rows of 16 dials each. All important parameters like first/last step, MIDI event type, MIDI channel, forward/backward/random/pendulum mode, gate time, tempo and so on are independently assigned to each row and can be changed in real time while the sequence is running. This enables very complex sequences. The rows may not only be used for generating note events but also other important MIDI events or for controlling the length of time for each step. Of course the MAQ allows the synchronisation via MIDI Clock, Start and Stop either as master or as slave.
• MIDI Sequencer featuring analog inputs
• designed in cooperation with the German band KRAFTWERK
• used by famous musicians like Kraftwerk, Human League, Jean-Michel Jarre
• 3 rows of 16 dials and LEDs each

• Different modes for each row: Forward/Backwards/Pendulum/ Random
• Different timings for each row (synchronized by MIDI-Clock)
• Transposition via incoming note on events possible
• Muting of single steps and complete row possible via incoming MIDI-Program-change and note events
• External Synchronisation (via MIDI-Start/Stop/Clock-In) or
• Internal Synchronisation (sends MIDI-Start/Stop/Clock-Out)
• 32 Sequence memories (Presets) in of non-volatile memory

Vintage Korg Synthe-Bass Suitcase Synthesizer

via this auction

"I bought this Korg Synthe-Bass in 1978 and have been the sole owner. I used it to play left-hand bass with a very successfuly nightclub band in the NY-NJ area called the Sheppard Brothers Plus. We even played in front of 10,000 people at the Brendan Byrne Arena at the Meadowlands for our final gig in 1986! The keyboard has been unused ever since, waiting for the right collector. Enjoy this piece of Analog History. If this thing could talk about what it had seen during those wild nights of the disco and new wave eras, a lot of people would be in trouble! Korg's Synthe-Bass (model SB 100) is a small 2-octave monophonic bass synth that had a very fat sound. It has one oscillator, an AD Envelope and a low-pass filter. Small and portable, it came in a brief-case design. Unlike many portable synths of the time, it featured full size keys. Its in great condition with only little scratch on the top of the case above the handle Pic #9."

Analogue Solutions GT8 8 Step Dual Gate Sequencer

via this auction
Noisebug (RSS)

"Analogue Sequencer.
8 Step dual Gate sequencer
with 8 step trigger outputs.

Width 18HP

Requires 5V

If you have a low budget, you can build up and buy modules as and when they can be afforded.

As they are single channel completely independent sequencers, they can be bought as and when they are needed, they can be clock at different clock divide ratios, they can each have different step lengths. None of these features are available with multi-channel sequencers.

These sequencers have a step out socket for each step (mainly for use with adjusting sequence length. Other sequencers use switches to change length). The advantage is that the sockets need not only be used for changing sequence length, but they can be used individually to clock or trigger other devices. The 8 step outs are basically the same as a Doepfer A161 trigger sequencer module making the CV8 and GT8 exceptional value.

When used with our master clock module MC01 , all sequencers can be reset globally from the Master Clock and they will be reset to THE LAST STEP. With just about all other sequencers, especially when using MIDI as the master clock, the sequencer must manually be stepped to the last step, otherwise when the clock is started, step 2 is in fact the first step triggered. Our automatically go to the last step eliminating this problem (see note in MC01 section for more explanation).

Main Applications

For triggering envelopes, clocking other devices, or controlling CV's. The GT8 comes with a 5V range as standard. This range is ideal for triggering most monosynths and envelopes.

If requested when ordering, the CV8 can be given a 10V range. It is possible to change to range between 5 and 10V by adding or removing resistor R13 (100K) on the main board. Having this resistor in place makes the range 10V. Changing this yourself is safe to do but will invalidate the warranty.

Controls & Sockets:
8x Gate switches (1/off/2), Step button

8x Postition LEDs.

8x step outputs, Gate 1 Out, Gate 2 Out, Clock Input, Reset Input"
