"All audio output is working as expected and sounds good.
Front panel membrane switches are all clean and working.
Editing of patches is working fine. I did note that saving patches does not seem to be working, so a battery replacement will be needed.
Sequencer and arpeggiator are working as expected.
Keys all work and no triggering issues.
As you can see from the pictures cosmetically this keyboard needs cleanup and restoration.
I would suggest the winning bidder take this keyboard to a tech for a cleanup and battery replacement."

"For a 3U rackmount module, it's absolutely astounding what Studio Electronics managed to pack into their SE-1X analog synth. It looks like a pretty straightforward 3-oscillator monosynth - and it's certainly easy to use - but under the hood, there's a sophisticated digital system that lets you access layers of control, modulation routing, and deeper parameters. MIDI control not only includes essentials such as pitch, modulation, and aftertouch support - you can manipulate every parameter onboard the SE-1X via fixed continuous controllers. What's more, you can also save up to 396 of your own patches, or call up one of the 396 presets for instant inspiration."

Late night eurorack modular synth jam with friends (make noise, mutable instruments, intellijel)

Published on Jun 9, 2017 ollilaboratories

"If you like my stuff please support me on http://music.ollilab.com/

Yeah, yeah... ever since I got my modular I wanted to create a classic long BURG style track. So I went back to the drawing board, hit some old melodies in C-minor and out came this tune.

A lot of stuff going on in this one, it all starts off with the make noise morphagene doing a really weird and lovely chopped up sample loop of a melody I found...+ the 0-coast on bass, and an arp on the system-1.

The modular has three sounds, the intro sample + sync bass/melody sequence + snare drum fills. The sync sequence is patched to really not play the same tune and/or note ... borderline regenerative, what I do is that I just open up the filter a bit to help pull in/out the main melody when needed.

The elektron fills in with some percussion and bass + the volca bass handles the low-end notes. The other volcas are there as always and do the stuff they do best :)

Ms-20 is treated with some really long tape echoes from the el capistan + a dual splash reverb in the space which really mashed the sound to a super wide palette.. its crazy nice, just love it.

Reface CP, wurly + csidman and strymon bluesky .. + a reverse piano loop on the ditto X2.

NLA1 does some fifth note strings that I control with a swell pedal on the floor, to pull it in/out with the filter ...

Standard TB3 square bass and monologue 16 note modulated sequence to top things off at the end.

Yeah... great fun, too fun actually, I had to do like 5 takes before I was able to nail a version that I was happy with. Apologies for the blinky blink lights but when turning the laser off between takes it defaulted to the annoying mode which I did not realize was on until I was done with the final take.. so tried to smooth it a bit with some faded film style when editing the film to kill off the worst blinky stuff.

Hope you can enjoy it still !! BoOoOoM !"

MAKING A MINIMAL TECHNO DRUM KIT BY SAMPLING RANDOM OBJECTS ~ Korg ES-1 Electribe Sampler

Published on Jun 9, 2017 once upon a synth

The little dancin being on the display makes it. I have no idea if it's a girl or a man with a man bun. BTW, you can get man buns on Amazon if you want one.

"I sample random objects I found around the house into the Korg ES-1 sampler and attempt to make some lo-fi techno. Objets include a coke can, a book, a banana, a kleenex box, a camera, a lighter, etc. This is a fun way to create your own lo-fi drum kits and end up with unique and interesting sounds that you can layer in with real drum hits to add a bit of flavor.

Jean-Michel Jarre Live Synths and a MATRIXSYNTH Baseball Cap

"A great Jarre show a couple of weeks ago in Berkeley, with lots of analog goodness and lasers.

ARP 2500 and many more synths were spotted.

Nice MATRIXSYNTH hat! That would be Synth Addict's, not JMJ of course. He's never asked me for one. :) Cool to know it was at the show! Thank you Synth Addict!

Quick Note: the baseball cap was actually made by Synth Addict. The ones for $10 supporters of the site are a different design as you can see here. Just want to be sure anyone that does sign up for the cap, knows which one they are getting.

"Allows any instrument to 'play' a synthesizer. This signal processor converts any audio signal input into a synthesizer control signal. Put together a guitar or vocal synthesizer instantly by connecting the MC-03 between your guitar or mike and any synthesizer with CV and trigger inputs. No alterations are needed; just by plugging into the MS-03 and adjusting the controls, your instrument can actually 'play' the synthesizer. When performing live, connect a foot switch for portamento, pitch hold, and other useful effects."

2. Verbos Amp and Tone, Kick and Bass (!!!)

"The verbos VCA sounds so fantastic, I had to make sure I had two, so I could make sure that I had one to make a kick drum, and one to make his complex oscillator sound like a million bucks! #verbos #modularsynth #analogsynth"

"The Death Of Reason.

The first sound you hear is actually from my Minimoog Voyager XL (a MARVELOUS SYNTH). It's all patched up and vibing off of the LFO's, one of which is sync'd to MIDI clock.

The track builds in it's usual way, with me laying out a bed so I can do something cool over it.

In honor of The Death Of Reason which is occurring constantly in human society, I fucked it up on the Macbeth. Enjoy."

Justin Melland Synthesis Technology E352 BETA Videos

Published on Jun 8, 2017 Justin Melland

Playlist:

1. Justin Melland Synthesis Technology E352 BETA

"Bass - Synthesis Technology E352 BETA

in concert with the following :

Percussion - Rossum Evolution - Pinged with Verbos Envelopes, and modulated with Random Source.
Kick/Snare - Noise Engineering
Sequencing - Malekko"

2. Justin Melland - Synthesis Technology E352 BETA The Sequel

"E352 BETA is accepting a CV Sequence into the Z input which is scanning the wavetable in a repeating pattern. This sounds like more than one instrument because the wave tables are so varied. I am then playing the E352 with the Keyboard as a bassline. E352 is going through Black Hole DSP Reverb.

Then the kick that comes in later is Verbos Amp and Tone's vactrol being pinged by the Verbos envelopes. The percussion is the pinging of the Rossum Evolution.

The Buchla 259R is the higher pitched tone that comes in later in the piece. It's heavily modulated, and the timbre is being sequenced by the Verbos Voltage Multistage as well."

3. Justin Melland Synthesis Technology E352 Beta 3

"A simple patch illustrating the brilliance of the E352. To go from a drone to a rhythm all I am doing is using an AD envelope to open the filter stage of a VCA/Filter combo. I close the cutoff when I want the envelop to function, and simply open the filter all the way when I need a drone."

Vermona twinCussion 3 - Self Moving Knobs?!

Published on Jun 9, 2017 vermonagear

Just watch.

"With this video we demonstrate two twinCussion modules forming a compact modular drum machine.

Along with these we have used a few vca’s to treat the signals going between the two twinCussion modules.
One CV-sequence coming from a traditional step sequencer is used to apply index control over one of the
fm-modulation pathes.

We finally got 5 sounds out the two twinCussion modules in this patch as you can count. The synth voice like sound is a product of the left side twinCussion. To achive this we have processed EG1 thru a vca where the envelope controls its own amplitude and gets massively compressed so we finally have a very short and a very long envelope availible while both vesions obey to the envelope settings."
