QUAID GIGASLOPE - Envelope, Loop, & Step Modes
video uploads by ALM TV
Playlist:
1. QUAID GIGASLOPE - Envelope Mode
In this video we take a detailed look at the QUAID GIGASLOPE's 'Envelope' mode, building a simple 2 stage envelope, adding a sustain phase to create an ADSR, then increasing the stages to build a larger complex multistage envelope.2. QUAID GIGASLOPE - Loop Mode
The QUAID GIGASLOPE is a four-channel multi-mode modulator, with each channel outputting a variable staged slope that can act as a complex envelope, flexible LFO, or step sequence.
Each slope can contain up to 13 stages, which may be independent or overlap with other stages. Slopes can be triggered or run freely, with both manual and CV control over each stage’s level, duration, and curve. The output range of each slope can be set and optionally quantised to musical scales. Trigger outputs are available at the end of each stage and at the completion of a slope.
In this video we take a detailed look at the QUAID GIGASLOPE's 'Loop' mode, using it to build unique custom LFOs with up to 13 stages.3. QUAID GIGASLOPE - Step Mode

MCO - Tonesum
video upload by ALM TV
See the ALM MCO announcement post here.
"「 MCO ToneSum 」🍃 Soft ambient tones with the MCO (mkII)’s ToneSum additive synth voice, a distinct voice that can produce anything from bright, glassy sounds to woody plucks or eerie inharmonic sweeps.
The MCO is triggered by a ‘Ramp Up’ gate sequence from Pamela’s PRO Workout, producing spontaneous ‘off the grid’ plucks from the ‘Warm 1’ preset of the ToneSum voice. A vocal pad sample from the Squid is mixed in to complement the MCO. The ToneSum’s various parameters are adjusted to alter the levels and dispersion of twelve sine waves that combine to produce the final sound. The Notch parameters have a particularly strong effect on the overall sound, acting like a parametric EQ band. Here the notch frequency is modulated by LFO 2, producing a subtle sweeping motion in the mellow tones. Finally, the ratio is changed to only Odd frequency bands, producing a more hollow and woody tonality. The ToneSum is a versatile and distinct voice that can produce a range of physical and organic sounding tones."

4/18/26 SSL 1660 + Zerosum Inertia 6550-99 & Scorpion Tail & Erebus Orifice + acVOKS VCF + (…)
video upload by Cfpp0
"4/17/26 Synthetic Sound Labs 1660 The Matrix Algorithmic Composer + Zerosum Inertia 6550-99 & The Scorpion Tail & Erebus Orifice + Analog Craftsman acVOKS VCF + Møffenzeef Simplify + ALM Pamela’s New Workout + Oakley ADSR/VCA + Paia 6740 + Alesis MIDIVERB II (40) + CXM 1978
The right Synthetic Sound Labs 1660 is clocked by ALM Pamela’s New Workout, but with the triggers interrupted by the Møffenzeef Simplify module. The right SSL 1660 clocks the left 1660 and both of them control the pitch of the Zerosum Inertia 6550-99 oscillator, with the left 1650 serving to transpose the right 1660 notes. The 6550-99 thyratron oscillator runs through the Analog Craftsman acVOKS VCF. That acVOKS Polivoks filter clone is by far the best filter module we have. Anyways, the acVOKS low pass output runs through the left Oakley ADSR/VCA and the bandpass output runs through the Blue Lantern mixer, gated by triggers from Pamela’s and with the wavefolder on (panned left on the Mackie Onyx 1640). The right ADSR/VCA is triggered by Pamela’s and is modulating the amazing acVOKS filter. Spring reverb from the Paia 6740, reversed reverb 40 from the Alesis MIDIVERB II, and stereo reverb blended on the CXM 1978."

4/9/26 Metasonix RK7 RK2 RK8 + Beers Melakarta & DAC + ALM Pamela’s New Workout + Alesis MIDIVERB II
video upload by Cfpp0
This is the first post to feature the Beers Melakarta.
"Feeding the Beers DAC and Beers Melakarta several triggers from ALM Pamela’s New Workout, and then modulating the pitches of the two Metasonix RK7 VCOs and the CV on the Metasonix RK8 Filterwall. Gated reverb from the Alesis MIDIVERB II."
"The idea for this module came from my friend Rodrigo Kendrick. He was a bit burned out on western tonal structures, and had recently missed out on an electronic lehra machine in a facebook marketplace deal which fell through. These machines are a kind of practice tool for carnatic musicians that plays a wide variety of different raga. Think that 'casio auto-chord' function on old casio keyboards, but for carnatic music.
Unwilling to wait for another one to come up on the used market, he did some cursory research, and sent me an early-morning design document, expanding the functionality of DAC with a scheme of two rotary switches and one toggle switch to select the pitch sets for all 72 Melakarta ragas and specified a clock input that would run up and down the selected raga in ascending then descending order, with the ability to turn around or reset on command. In theory this would allow the complex rhythmic and sequence rules of the raga to be implemented with external logic and sequencers, but still give the module enough sequencing functionality to explore the pitch sets of these raga on it's own.
I got excited and went a bit silly 'helping' until we had shoehorned in a pile of other features like binary addressability of the selected swara (interval), gate outputs for each swara, an 'inhibit' input that mutes the transposition voltage while the clock continues in the background, CV controlled halving of the clock frequency, extra +1oct input, and the logic-inverting toggle switches from the DAC on several inputs.
This design is all analogue using discrete MOSFETs and 0.1% tolerance resistors in a weighted DAC driven by a 4000-series CMOS based sequencer.
Yes, it might have been simpler to use a microcontroller."

SISTERS - Ambient session #29 // Mannequins Three Sisters, Arbhar, Panharmonium, Subharmonicon
video upload by David Falcon
"First sounds with the Mannequins Sisters, such an interesting little module. In its core is a triple filter (Hi, Low and Band Pass) but it works great as an spectral mixer. I am slowly modulating the frequency cutoff so that the different sounds come and go progressively. Very little resonance added, it can be very resonant!
// Patch Notes //
Voice 1- Arbhar recording of my voice and ambient sounds with the internal microphone. High input of Sisters.
Voice 2 - Maths Tom sound into Rings. Center of Sisters.
Voice 3 - Panharmonium with a Random sequence from Pams into the Low input of Sisters.
These 3 voices go into the Xaoc Praga mixer, with Mimeophon and FX Aid in the sends. I am modulating the volume and panof
Voice 2 from Øchd and Pams, and the panning of Arbhar from Pams too. The mix goes through Qubit Mojave for the occasional reversed granular bleep.
Voice 4 - Subharmonicon through Blooper as a delay and Mercury 7 as Reverb.
Voice 5 - Low kick from DFAM
Recorded in a single stereo mix and mastered in Ableton."

Triple Filter Voice
video upload by ALM TV
"Creating a synth voice using 3 resonant analog filters in series from the MCFx2 and Pip Filter. Check out the full patch writeup on the Busy Blog on our website.
In modular synthesis, starting with traditional basic patches and building on them is a great way to discover exciting new sounds and get the most out of a system. This unique expansion of the traditional single oscillator analog synth voice patch with 3 filters in series allows for 3x the amount of filter modulation, producing rich moving timbres using only a single oscillator. Similar techniques of can be used with multiple filters in parallel or panned in stereo to add unique modular richness character to a basic voice patches. For more details on this patch see our full blog writeup!"

Pamela's PRO Workout - 1x PPQN
video upload by ALM TV
"Clocking Pamela’s PRO Workout at x1 PPQN with an ASQ-1 sequence to create a completely random Castle setting each time a note is triggered. 🪄✨ . 🔵 The ASQ-1 is started, sequencing a dual oscillator Akemie’s Castle melody. Pam’s PPQN is set to x1, with all outputs set to produce x1 random waves. The gate out of the ASQ-1’s sequence is duplicated to the Clock input of Pam. At each note in the sequence, Pam’s 8 random signals are advanced due to the x1 PPQN setting. The outputs are patched to modulate most of the Castle’s parameters, resulting in a totally random sound for each note in the sequence. 🏯"

Pamela's Disco: sync DJ decks to modular - Buchla & Friends
video upload by CatSynth TV
"Zoey of ALM Busy Circuits gives us a demo of their new Pamela's Disco module at Buchla & Friends 2026. Pamela's Disco connects to a PRO DJ-LINK network and converts the incoming "master tempo" to standard Eurorack clock signals that can be used to synchronize sequencers, LFOs, and modules, including the Pamela's PRO Workout (as shown in this demo). This allows modular systems to be synchronized with DJ decks and follow tempo changes and even scratches and spin ups/downs.
We also get a sneak preview of a few other upcoming modules from ALM Busy Ciruits.
