The sounds in this movie may be a bit raw, because it does not show any synth programming art. Nevertheless, it is very interesting if you want to know, how the Moog Satellite actually sounds dry, when you tweak around and how the sliders / buttons affect the sounds.
I am also showing, how every single preset sounds. Enjoy..."

"Dan Worral explains some cool tricks that will help you to get more out of Timeless 2 than ever before. For example, he describes how the XLFO in combination with the delay lines, can be used to slice up drum loops."
"ScapesWizard (Demo 2 by D.Schkoda): A machine featuring probably the easiest way for stunning spacey soundscapes and atmospheres either let it play in LazyPlay mode or via triggering i.e. switching waves by MIDI keys or MIDI CC. So this plugin is also very suited to be used with trigger pads.
"Old School style composition/performance using Moog Slim Phatty for all parts. Roland Gaia was used only as midi controller and Logic Pro 9.13 and Virus C for delay and reverb FX."

"The Magic 8 Step analog sequencer by synthrotek.com. Product features CV out, Clock Input/bypass, Reset at steps 1-8. This video show the sequencer at work while connected to a Yamaha CS-5 analog synth, Atari Punk Console and a Nand synth. Loads of Fun! Eric Says Fuck You by suitandtieguy "this started out as a demo of sequencer summing and the Synthesizers.com quantiser but turned into a track honouring the vacuum tube synthesisers made by the American company Metasonix, which were not used to make this piece, and their colourful inventor Eric Barbour.
instruments: STG Soundlabs/Synthesizers.com modular, Juno-60, Eventide H3000SE, Korg ESX-1 with Oberheim DX samples and onboard reverb."
"A month in the making...Massive acid remix of Plastikman's "Ask Yourself" destined to possibly win the remix competition. Please listen and favorite on soundcloud if you agree.... Mastered by Tim Xavier of www.manmademastering.com, amazing! "
PLASTIKMAN - Ask Yourself (HighSage Remix @burnstudios) Mastered, undithered by highsage "This remix represents everything I've learned from Plastikman to date. Every modulation, every understatement, every nod to acid, and every piece of hardware used...all respectfully and graciously applied to that single end statement. This one is for you, Richie.
Many thanks to Tim Xavier for mastering this with such care for me.... wow, sounds huge and wide open! http://www.manmademastering.com Dithered version will be uploaded tomorrow...this one's whatever SC does to a 24/44.1 file..."
"This remix was a stark reminder that the reason I make techno is primarily to further the relationships I have with these machines. Each, an instrument unto itself, needs only to be liberated, instead of beat into submission by our artist's ego. Techno has always been about the future that the machines will bring...about a dream of a far off place in space, or a post apocalyptic landscape...the machines still singing their song...while humans are left with nothing more to do than dance. This video depicts those instruments, and my relationship with them. The 303 is the only instrument I've ever played...even beyond playing jazz horn for 20 years... that I've never felt lonely while playing it. Unlike every other instrument on earth...it is the one that speaks back to you, and tells you more about yourself than you ever wanted to know, and it does it with an attitude just to remind you who is boss. Thank you Richie, for those early years especially...when you would bang on the 909 like you didn't care whether the world was gonna end that night or not...and for making me feel the same way when I last saw you live. THAT, my dear dear friends...is what acid is all about."
The gear: total analog path; tr-909 modified by Brian Castro in LA. Tb-303 into ts-303 pedal, x0xio sequenced off the 303, acidlab bassline 2 on harmonic 303 lines. WMD pedal on the snare. Al.so dynax^2 compressor on ensonique eps-16 string sample. Whole thing driven off 909/303 basically. Drawmer ds-201 noise gate on tr-909 open hats, then thru 2ube pre.
909 mods include decay, compression, tune range, drive, etc. Also hats pitch control...custom matching knobs too... Total destruction. 303 modded too...also by Brian Castro.... Best acid tech in the west..."
"This is a clean custom assembled, tested, and working dual oscillator synthesizer from the folks at VOICE OF SATURN. Has two CV inputs and one Synth + one LFO output. Has two LFO modes, LFO depth, and LFO rate knobs. Both oscillators have pitch knobs and range knob. You can choose between one or both oscillators running simultaneously. Amazing noise device!!!
Loosely based on the Atari Punk Console with some custom tweaks and an LFO front end, this box makes a ridiculous amount of different sounds, all from three 555s."
"The Rhodes Piano Bass was the first instrument introduced by Rhodes. The Rhodes Piano Bass was used famously by Ray Manzarek of the Doors, who would place the Piano Bass on top of his Vox Continental. It has a great bass sound that can easily be mistaken for a bass guitar, and has an amazing '60s vibe."
via this auction "The fact that this synth exists makes it very valuable but the fact that this synth is at CMS after just being fully restored makes it even more valuable.
I sent the synth to Phil Cirocco at CMS because I wanted it to be restored by the master of ARP 2600 restoration before I sold it. It deserves the best. Phil has meticulously gone through this unit and restored it to all of its’ glory. Phil said that it is in perfect working order other than one speaker distorts a bit on low notes at higher volume. Phil has new replacement speakers available, but it is a small thing and I wanted it keep it as original as possible. Phil has agreed to keep the unit at his shop until the end of the auction. I asked Phil to do me this favor for two reasons.
1) This synth is so valuable and rare that I wanted to keep shipping trips to the absolute minimum. Phil agreed.
2) If you want a mod or something changed, it is already at CMS. It will save you the cost of shipping it back and forth and minimize the risk that this valuable part of musical history could be damaged."

"This Is Another Odd Duck From The Depths Of Technology. Released In 1995, It Features 32-voice polyphony, 16-part multitimbrality, 384 programmable presets, two digital effects processors, and a Mac computer interface. Its Soundset Is Similar To A E-MU Proteus. Rear Connections Are Midi In, Out, and Thru. With RCA For Audio. Works Perfectly, Fully Tested With no Issues found. Power Supply Is 9v A/C, (Not Included) These Links Describe It Pretty Well, Sound On Sound Usually Has Pretty Good Info.... Surprisingly, List Price According To Them Was £565. Crazy Money For 1995 ! http://www.soundonsound.com...
Update via bachmaninoff in the comments: "Good sound, especially back in the day. Paid $100 from Guitar Center in '94, not sure why the SOS article has it from 1995. Maybe it was released in the UK later than the US?
Yeah, I was really pissed when I got it home, and the editing software was a cut-down version, though it was touted as full (you only had the ability to edit all parameters via a random generator). Still have it, and the manual. I'd still use it if I only used hardware. Midi Quest makes editing software for it for both Mac and PC..."
Update via Astralform in the comments: "This sound module came out in 1993. It did not sell well and Guitar Center blew them out a year later for $99. The onboard sound rom was unusual and had samples from the Proteus 1-2-3 plus other sounds in order to cover the GM soundset. The internal FX routing was vastly superior to the Proteus FX module and any E-mu hardware module made since! The last run of these came in black and looked way cooler than the one above."
"Decided to chronicle the making of the follow up to Of Sirens Born. We'll see if I can keep it up. I'm just in the demo stage and getting some ideas down. What you see here is all played live (well with a few sequencers). I've found that long hair and funny hats help with this process.
I'm playing a Dave Smith Mopho keybord with a Tetra in tow. Doepfer A-100, Synthi-R, Moog Voyager Old School (sequenced by the MFB Step64) and the Tip Top Audio Z8000 is doing some modulation sequencing. Left hand is playing the melodic part, right hand is tweaking. I only say that because it's a little hard to see what's going on from this angle. Recorded Dec 6th, 2010."

"Friends: I wanted to let you know about two performances coming up soon, a new review, and a free download of a recent concert, along with some video performance documents as well.
First, I'll be playing a Buchla 200e/Haken Continuum set, as well as jamming with some of the other artists, at "A Night of Clutter" on Saturday, December 11 at Funkadelic Studios in NYC.
After that, I'll be performing on Thursday, December 16, as part of the "Super Coda Festival 2010", four nights of experimental and improvisatory music at Cafe Orwell in Brooklyn.
Next, I've uploaded the direct board recording of my recent Buchla/Continuum performance at the Omega Sound Fix festival at Alfa Art Gallery in New Brunswick - it's available on SoundCloud as a downloadable high-quality MP3
And here are some video clips (with camera audio) of that performance, along with my improvisation with Philippe Petit at the same festival, in which I play vibes as well as Buchla: [posted here]
Finally, Caleb Deupree at furthernoise.org reviews my recent Vicmod label release "The Wave-Sounding Sea", featuring early Moog CEMS recordings from 1973-75:

"The great Irish singer Harry P. Greene (born in Dublin in 1865) said of this traditional Irish melody, "It is a perfect example of pure phrasing far beyond the powers of that most limited instrument, the human voice. Only the violin can begin to do it justice and rise to its wonderful climax with every note serenely true. None of the great singers have tried to sing it; they know better!"
Since it was first introduced in the mid 19th century, this melody has remained one of the most recognizable and loved throughout the world. There have been several sets of lyrics written to be sung to this tune (the most popular is "Danny Boy") but the melody stands beautifully on its own."

"I posted this video because i felt was an unusual repair only passive components causing the polymoog square wave not to be in tune with the saw wave or the other way around i dont remember its been awhile since i repaired it. I tried to troubleshoot with the polymoog repair manual but the manual stated that the HFO boards on the divider board could be the problem and it wasn't I just happened to look on the TL board and saw a resistor that was burnt looking and hot to the touch(obvious short) so i checked all caps/ ic's that were connected to the resistor and one ceramic disc cap was shorted out I replaced both resistor and cap and now both 8' footages were in tune. If time permits i will replace all caps on the boards.."
