Here's one we don't see often. Funkiest looking synth ever? You tell me. Note the serrated ends. The following are some details from the listing:
"In GREAT Condition EXCEPT: The first three keys are broken (see photos)
Everything else JUST FINE
EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN SOUNDING Fourth Generation 16-Bit, 8-Part Multitimbral, Programmable Multi-Waveform 4-Operator FM Synthesis with Onboard EFFECTS and Data Card Storage. The sound engine is essentially identical to the TQ5 Synth Module minus the sequencer, and the next generation from the rack-mounted 4-Op TX81Z.
Because of this synth's unusual styling, it has become very collectible apart from its ability to create just about classic 80s FM sound you'll ever need. Especially those icy DX Strings and that DEEP, snappy LATELY BASS."
"A lightsome and carefree improvisation for keyboard synthesizer. This is actually a re-post.
The Poly Evolver Keyboard offers some wonderful digital wave shapes that respond in fascinating ways to filter alterations achieved through keyboard technique. In this patch, the envelope subtly affects the cut off frequency, based on the manner in which one strikes each note, for a sound that crosses between a plucking and a bowing of a string. The patch is rather sensitive and difficult to play without having an occasional "trip" that creates an unwanted "pop," due in part to voice re-assignment.
"Experimenting with using a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 for real-time patching and synthesis with a pen. In this video I'm tweaking an original patch called "MM Micro Drones 2" using the wonderful Aalto synthesizer by Medrona labs.
"Synth is in excellent working order. It was recently professionally serviced in Chicago. The outside case has scratches and tears and one latch doesn't work. The physical synth itself is in superb condition."
"Simple patch with Verbos Complex Oscillator master out to Bark Filter, to Moog MF104m delay and Strymon BigSky reverb
Sequence Selector cv out to Complex Osc modulation cv in and to Batumi
Random Source to Bark Filter center, Batumi sine out to Bark Filter width cv in"
"multiclock sync jam at the NAMM show 2017 in Anaheim, CA inspired by Dr. Dre with Verbos Electronics modular system, MFB Tanzbaer Lite and Ableton Live."
"Prophet 600 analog synthesiser just serviced and in perfect working condition. Only sign of wear on the top corner of the left wood side panel (see picture 6). Comes with switch pedal.
The P600 has two oscillators per voice with sawtooth, triangle and variable pulse waveforms. The oscillators can be individually tuned or synced together. Similar quality VCF and VCA sections from the Prophet 5 can be found here too! The P5's Poly-Mod section has also been passed onto the P600.
The P600 is extremely versatile and easy to use! Its best functions include the onboard arpeggiator, 2-track sequencer and poly-modulation. The P600 is great for creating analog effects, swells and drones. It has a cool glide effect and has very flexible modulation possibilities."
"I don't really do drone. I think there are others out there who do it far better but I thought I'd give it a go.
Most interesting thing going on here is a Doepfer wavefolder processing Rings with Vulcan modulating the folding, and a Sport Modulator lfo going through a Flame Tame Machine with a custom scaling.
Oh, and I've still been very wobbly on my feet, hence the time to do another track and the name of it..."
"Ruud Wiener plays Simmons Silicon Mallet
Concert Amsterdam Percussionists
Loano, Italy 18-7-1990"
via Ruud in the comments of this post, who had the following to say:
"I own two of these instruments and both are in good shape. I made some live recordings in 1990 and recorded a CD (Inner Voice) [video above]. I learned to know about the Silicon Mallet when I worked together with Bill Bruford while he was using the Simmons Drums."

"The Casio SK-1 is a sampling keyboard from 1984 with built-in mic and great envelope options. I paired it with the Korg Monotron Delay for some spacey 5 dollar jams"
Nozoïd wrote in to let us know it is now available:
"I'm glad to announce that the OCS-2 synthesizer is finally ready for delivery!

"The Entity, from SSF, is a module designed for low frequencies. It can function either as a bass synthesizer, or be morphed to work as a kick drum voice. It contains all the components for a full synthesizer voice, with controls to morph it from harmonic lines to epic thuds. There are CV inputs for every parameter, which includes a filter, envelope, saturation, ring amount, and frequency modulation."

"A synth engine that performs fluid glissandos, and creates oscillator like synthesizer effects.
The Electro-Harmonix Superego Synth Engine effects pedal is a new and unique product that combines elements of sampling, synthesis and infinite sustain. The Superego allows you to freeze sound, gliss between frozen tones, layer sounds and place an external effects loop on only the effect. In addition, the Superego can detect new notes or chords and sustain them automatically without requiring you to step on the footswitch. It even lets you tweak attack and decay, or use its effects loop to invent novel synth patches.
The Superego has three modes: Latch, Momentary and Auto. A toggle switch at the center of the Superego chooses between the three. Momentary mode is not labeled in the artwork; it is the center (or eye) position of the 3-position toggle switch."
That be some noise. Note this is the first post to feature Reverselandfill!

"Dialing in and comparing some patches on the Arp Odyssey and the newly released Korg Odyssei app available on the App Store. They both sound great, but as you might expect there is something of raw living sound to the true analog nature of the Odyssey, but I am so impressed by the expanded feature set on the app!"

"Pairing the Behringer Deepmind 12 synthesizer with the Roland TR-8 drum machine. The TR-8 is a digital emulation of an 808, 909 and 707. I synced the tempo of the TR-8 to the Deepmind via MIDI. There's a combination of arpeggiator and freestyle playing in the video."
"Brand New in Box -- this is a modulation grip for the SH-101 Roland synthesizer -- complete -- strap, modulation handle and hardware to install on your SH-101 synthesizer!
Make your SH-101 a mobile synthesizer for the stage!"
"If your looking at this then you know what it is and how amazing of a piece it is. It is a monster and sounds absolutely huge. The PSU and entire keyboard has been recapped and serviced. All voice cards have had caps replaced and bad trim pots replaced. The keybed bushing have been replaced and adjusted. I just had the entire keyboard calibrated and overhauled by a very experience Tech name Bryan . Everything works and holds tuning but I can not guarantee a minor tweaker will not be require after shipping."
"Sliders have been replaced. Key bushings have been replaced. New slider caps have been installed and it has been serviced and functions very well. Few scratches here and there and the wood sides have dulled over the years."
I believe sides on the MKIII were actually a pressed leather. Curious what they are on this one and if wood, whether they are original. Did the MKIII come with wood side panels at any point?
"Comes with power cord, vintage soft case, grip, and strap. Works perfectly and has no major cosmetic damage that I can see. The strap has some stains on it. Will also throw in a Monster Cable..."
Surprisingly, these do not come up often. They are meant to be played with the Akai EWI - saxaphone like wind instrument. See this post for the full system and a video.
KiwiTechnics 'KiwiSix' CPU Upgrade
KiwiTechnics brand new PSU
Custom power socket and midi connection panel.
Custom handcrafted solid oak case
The solid oak case is brand new, as is the cpu and psu upgrade. Aside from carrying out the upgrades I have fully serviced and calibrated the beast and she is ready to rock.
The KiwiSix CPU mod takes this synth into another dimension, it adds many, many new functions but most importantly gives the PolySix MIDI, and full MIDI CC implementation for complete external control, 4096 steps to each control also.."
"Headphones on! More ambient glitchiness to daydream to. Introducing my new toys: Korg Arp Odyssey and Roland Demora.
The O-Coast is controlling (with randomness) the Hold button and Width knob on the Demora which creates some nice long glitchy delays. The sonar-esque sounds are a little synth I created inside the Demora (see Customizer app image towards end of video) and fed it into the Demora delay itself. Arp Odyssey's LFO slider is controlled by....my finger!"
This song was entirely composed and performed using Teenage Engineering OP-1.
The main track was played in real time, the other 3 were recorded on the OP-1 internal tape recorder using internal sounds only.
Eventide Space and Korg SDD-3000 as master FX. A little bit of EQ and compression through Ableton live.
It's been 6 years since I got this wonderful little toy and I'm still in love with it. One of the most creative and inspiring instruments I've ever owned.
"1st play with the NULL-A. It has 2 VCOs, state variable VCF, ladder VCF, S&H, 2 LFOs, frequency divider, 3 VCAs, Sloth chaos, ADSR, 4 stage sequencer with direction control, mixer, VC Delay and a headphone amp"
