Hard abuse of the delay and ruiner with a diy random cv modulator plugged in at the filter cv input.

You know the drill. Like the strap on... If you hate it then i probably already know. If you like it then i get that also and so do you :)

13 raw circuit bends - extreme pitch control - drum/chord/bass boost/mute etc etc.
Ruiner - ringmod/distortion.
Digital delay untethered to behave as a bent delay pedal would.
Sallen key resonant low pass filter.

Lacking the midi of my PT80 configuration but compensating for it with far more mods and a much wider scope on the fucked up spectrum."

Synthchaser #057 - Oberheim OB-8 Power Supply Rebuild & Dead Oscillator

BigFish is our full fledged synth.

This beeper started out life as Goldfish; a plug-in on the PocketPC for the Griff sequencer, and a buzzmachine in 2002. It has grown up since. Swimming out of software and into its’ own enclosure for the first time as a self-contained synthesizer – coming out to play at the Landjuweel festival in 2015. Continuing on its’ journey it has now been netted by the modular system.

Many beep, beepy beep beep with buttons that click and indicators that blink and flash to anyones’ heart content.

Has its’ own certain sound that we have grown to love and we think you will too. Net this fish, good for your health.

"This is a patch from scratch tutorial featuring my sampler based eurorack modular system. We start off with the TipTop One which is our primary sound source. We then go through a VCF-74 analog filter and a uVCA. The sound is modulated by both the Korg SQ-1 sequencer and Mutable Instruments Peaks in envelope generator mode. Finally the sound is processed by OTO Machines BAM which is a reverb unit and we also add some drums via the Korg Volca Beats which is synchronized to the SQ-1."

Voices:
Bass synth is Waveforms Saw into MI Ripples LP4
Detuned pad is Braids _|_|_|_|_ (a sine wave/comb filter) into Optomix
Clean pad is Disting Waveshaping VCO into Optomix
Clouds is in pitchshift/timestretch mode for granular synthesis
Bitbox loaded with drum samples in SY02 multimode filter
Lead is OP-1 in pulse synth engine with tremolo LFO

Modulation:
Ornament & Crime is in CopierMaschine mode, a cascaded analog shift register. It's sending pitch to all of the eurorack synth voices. A sequence from the Beatstep Pro is patched to CV1. The outputs are delayed and produces a cascading effect.

Peaks (with Dead Man's Catch) is in Bouncing Ball Envelope mode and modulating the Optomix. It's in split mode, or dual channel mode. Knobs 1+3 control initial velocity and gravity. Knobs 2+4 control bounce energy loss.

dlADSR generates an envelope for the Waveforms Saw bass and the Clouds granular synth. Two slow triangle LFOs are patched to Moddemix, attenuated, and patched to Braids Timbre and Disting Waveshaper. The sum of these LFOs are patched to FM on Ripples.

The Rest

Sequencing is done on the Beatstep Pro. Mixing is done with the K-Mix."

3 Modules #3: Rings, Peaks, Brain Seed

"Wanted to go with a simple and pretty one to follow up the messy episode 2. This is one of my favourite patches.

Patch notes:
Peaks ch. 2 produces a simple, skewed ramp wave LFO which feeds into the Brain Seed seed input. Brain Seed treats this kind of like a sample and hold signal input, and samples the ramp wave to produce V/oct CV for Rings.

However, unlike a regular sample and hold module, Brain Seed doesn't react to a trigger signal. Instead it stores the 8 most recently sampled values, and moves between them as directed by the Cycle CV input. In this case, I'm using a smoothed random LFO from Peaks ch. 1 to modulate this movement. Since it's a random signal, the sampled values are output in random order. But since it's smoothed, it "strums" through adjacent values to get from one point of the sequence to another.

By switching on and off "ReSeed" on the Brain Seed, I can choose to lock down the 8 sampled values (ReSeed off - cycle LED flashes green) which leads to somewhat repeating patterns, or allow new values to be sampled (ReSeed on - cycle flashes red). I'm using this to create movements and repetitions as I see fit."
