Bought a CHD Midi kit some months ago, now in box.
Flanger, Vibrato, Joystick, and all other functions work as they should.
It has three sections of sounds to use individually, in parts split upon the keyboard, or even groups of different combinations between Synthesizer (Synth), Brass, and Strings. I personally love using the brass and synth for creating drum sounds, they give a nice punch due to the analog nature. The strings have a nice bowing and ensemble as well as vibrato effects too.
With the Trident, you have extra effects built in such as Vibrato and a Flanger (which can be selected to be used with whichever sound section is chosen).
Some signs of wear and tear which is normal for a synth of this age, but overall it's a pretty good looking synth."
"Has been tested thoroughly & works 100%, absolutely no issues. Sounds awesome & creates those classic analog drum sounds.
Made in England in the 1980s and ridiculously rare to come across.
Has a trigger/input for each of the drums (bass, snare, hi tom, med tom, low tom)
Each can be controlled with sensitivity level & output level.
Each drum also has it's own output (if you want to pan individually into your DAW), or you can run mono or stereo out of master outputs.
Controls for each drum: Sensitivity / Filter / Pitch / Bend / Hit Samples / Body / Decay / Noise / Click
Save programs/patches. Trigger LEDs for each drum. Drums can be triggered by a sequencers, trigger pads, etc."
"Reducing the bit rate of your samples on the Ensoniq ASR X drum machine is easy and useful especially for Lo-Fi Boom Bap Hip-Hop. It’s a great feature for shading the tone of your sounds. In this was bit crushing can be used as subtle form of EQ.
Here’s how you do it:
1. Start by pressing the “Sound” button in the track section and scroll until you get to the “Utility Silence” page. This will make sure that all the pads of the ASR X are blank with no sounds.
2. Start with any sample you want and load it to one of the open pads.
3. Once a sound is loaded, select that pad by pressing it and then press the “Process” button in the “Pad” section.
4. Scroll until you see “Reduce Sample Bits?”
5. Press the “Yes” button
6. You’ll be taken to a page where you can select the bit rate you want to use. (You can select between 15 bits to 1 bit).
7. Press the “Yes” button to confirm your selection.
"Jamming around with the Octatrack, OP-1 and V-Machine recording stuff to the Sony M-550V microcassette recorder which resulted in this little remix of the beautiful song 'Our Towne' by the artist Hope.
"☆ NEW Howard Scarr and Kevin Schroeder team up again for Hive Science 2, 350 presets full of style and high impact. The soundset revisits and expands on ideas from the original Hive Science. More epic pads, more stomping rhythms, more modern leads, more pensive textures, more thumping basses… more of everything."
"First patch playing around with the BASTL modules. CV trinity, Knit Rider, Tea Kick, Noise Square, ABC, Little Nerd and Cinnamon out in full force. Great modules sonically and functionally."
"This is what happens nearly once a month. The memories of my youth made me to do it :)
Raw Oldschool Techno
Basic and simple sampled Norddrum triggered by a Zularic Repetitor into a Doepfer A-112 and tweeking it with a Borg Filter. The rest is vanished in the drummodules' haze.
Leave your thoughts and comments.
Patch notes on request."

"Steve Harmon from Synthrotek takes a stab at this deep and very useful module.
Archimedes is a Bipolar Dynamic Signal Manipulator that is designed for the Eurorack Modular Synthesizer format.
The module is 10hp wide, 38mm deep, and the current draw is: 90mA on +12 90mA on -12.
Archimedes takes in a +5 -5 volt signal Oscillator, LFO, Noise, Random and processes the positive and negative sections separately with CV control over everything, and is AC DC capable as there is no filtering on all of the inputs and outputs.
It is comprised of 3 linear sections: 2 Bipolar Rectifiers Offset 2 Bipolar Limiting Rails"
"This is the most powerful synth ever made. It’s got the best VA engines, the best clonewheel organ, and the best acoustic emulations available anywhere, the best acoustic piano sounds of any workstation ever made, and the most advanced FM and physical modelling engines in any hardware synth. And since they’re all in the same synth, you can patch your own samples on its solid-state hard drive through any of that under the control of multiple step-sequencers, vector envelopes, Karma algorithms…the possibilities are just about endless. Plus it’s the most advanced audio and midi sequencing workstation ever made, and it costs less than the inferior offerings from Yamaha and Roland... Included in the auction is the Karo ESx60 Electric Grand (Yamaha CP80, $99 value)."

"Upgraded Roland SH-1000 Synthesizer with midi set-up via Arturia Beatstep + Roland R8 + upgraded Wersi WM 24b clock sync via Beatstep CV gate out Soundcheck @ Petit Rigolo Records 2017
Wersi makes the deepest walking bass and the funny toy accompaniment -- sh-1000 makes fx,leads and some bass with korg ax 300g effects"
"The original box is included as well as the original batteries. Do not fret, they have not been in the unit for a very long time!
No battery damage. No double triggers (Ever, I mean it) No weird explosions of any kind. Hopefully the picture of the battery compartment label convinces you of this. I even took the 303 apart in an attempt to get into all of the nooks and crannies.
This unit sounds great as you can imagine. I hardly used this unit. All of the knobs are still new and stiff feeling. Even the cutoff knob. You are going to have to play this one a while to loosen the pots.
The only real blemish is on the narrow back side where the silver paint wore off a bit from keeping it in the case. Oh the irony!"
"On the occasion of Superbooth in Berlin, April 20-22, 2017 we will be showing our new gear at booth 0210. We also celebrate our 25th company anniversary in Berlin.
Some of the new products were already presented as prototypes at NAMM and are now available (e.g. the voltage controller performance mixer series A-135-4). But we also show some new gear in Berlin (e.g. the quad VCO A-111-4, the micro keyboard A-173-1/2, the miniature stereo mixer A-138s and the low cost versions of the monster cases)."
"Weinglas live at Xerox Exotique,
Musikmessefestival,
Frankfurt/Germany, INM,
April 8th, 2017
All sounds are made with tubes. The only instruments I used here are a Metasonix S-2000 Tube Synthesizer and a Metasonix D-2000 Drum Machine. No overdubs, no edits, just a bit of reverb from a Keith McMillen K-Mix.
Thanks to Eric Barbour ( http://metasonix.com ) for designing these beasts and to Alessandro Cortini for the inspiration here: [posted here]
And of course thanks to the wonderful guys at Xerox Exotique for having me: http://xeroxex.de/"

POLY Polyphonic MIDI to CV converter
We wanted to incorporate direct and seamless connections between SEQ and voltage control universes, which we are quite fond of. POLY is an Eurorack module with implemented configuration reflecting SEQʼs eight channels. It converts the MIDI signal to voltage values managing the Gate, Pitch, Velocity, and Modulation parameters of each step. Through CV outputs, any Eurorack array can be fed with all the musical content you just created using SEQ.
POLY is also available for pre-order.
"I'm starting a eurorack modular system! My focus is on create a synth based around samplers and analog filters. In this video I briefly explain my plans, unbox the modules, assemble them into the case and do a very quick audio demo."
all synthesizer sounds: Oberheim OB-X Analog synthesizer (1979)
analog strings and choir sounds: Roland VP-330 Vocoder Plus (1979)
recording: multi-tracking without midi
fx: reverb and delay"
"The lower Sub 37 is running a 64-step, two-note sequence (and driving the Model 15 through a MIDI-CV converter) - the audio output from this Sub 37 is sent to the reverb box.The upper Sub 37 is following on Midi Thru from the converter. Its audio output is sent to the Model 15 mixer and the total output from the Model 15 sent to the other port of the reverb box. The Model 15 provides the accordion-like sound. That accordion effect was helped by lightly detuning Oscillator 2."
"The @AudioKitchen TBT just arrived, time to see what it can do with the Voyager. So of course, that means an impromptu nonsensical floating hands video!"
"This allows you to convert a keyboard/synth's scale to anything that you like. You can create your own scales/tunings or choose from thousands of Scala files online. You can play, for example, ancient Greek scales on your synth or experimental tunings like those used by Harry Partch."
I believe this is the first post to feature the TBX-1. Hi-Pi is known for their Tonal Plexus microtonal keyboards. See the Hi-Pi label below for more.
