"The 8S is an 8 step sequencer in 8 HP with control over parameters of the sequence as reset, hold, random step and direction. It’s been designed to work with clock related signals like triggers or gates but any type of CV signals can be used at its inputs. The output signal path is completely analog and its range can be set as unipolar (0 to +5 volts) or bipolar (-5 to +5 volts) via jumper on the back.
"The labels look mostly in good shape and only a couple of letters look dinged. There is a screw missing on the left side panel(pictured). The previous owner might've removed it because that whole looks like there was a crack that was repaired. A couple of dings and scratches on the body but overall good for its age. This is the version that has the momentary button under the mod wheel.
This synth is loud! It's a one oscillator synth but the triangle and saw can really shake a room. I didn't list as used because functionally the pulse waveform and the lowpass filter need work.
When PW/PWM is set all the way to the left it sounds fine but as you start turning the knob clockwise the pulse wave gets a little dusty sounding.
When you set the cutoff and peak on filter all the way to 10 it gets a little quiet. If cutoff is set below peak it's pretty normal sounding. Someone told me deoxit might be all those pots need but I will leave it to an expert."

Yes, you read the title correct.. I connected a pot lid to my modular system, cookin' up some ambient tunes :)
Really, I have no idea what I am doing but it is great fun :D I recently got the Mutable Instruments ears, and also today bought a KORG CM-200 contact microphone to be able to add acoustic elements and textures for processing in the modular.. now this calls for a pot session right ? :)
Ears gets the audio signal from the CM200 microphone, which in turn sends audio to the MI rings, strumming is being done on a random fashion with the 2hp Turing Maching using a clock in maths.
1v/Oct in on the RIngs is quantized with the penrose, which has LFO in from the tides, on a slow rate.
/Odd/ channels from rings goes straight out to 1U mixer mixer, the other /Even/ goes into the morphagene which is in sound on sound mode and plays back everything it hears in reverse .. + some glitchy stuff.
Braids soundsource (drone) Maths is controlling the filter on the uVCF which the braids goes into.. . and the Ripples filter is in serial controlled by the second maths channel plus retriggered by the gate out from MI ears.
everything then goes into the EQD pedals + Keeley engineering reverb for FX treatment.
Oh, and at 03.55 I am humming/singing one note drones into the pot lid (now there is a sentence you don't read that often) .. none of the camera angles captured it, but this is what you hear if the sound sources might be a bit confusing :)
Booom, and be careful the track is very dynamic, listen to it on moderate volume the first time.. :)"
"I've been ill with a virus this weekend, so rather than plan a complex patch, I decided to just punch a few patterns into the Cirklon and make some acid breaks with the CV BOB sequencing the Eurorack.
This video pretty much has the patterns playing back. Everything in this video is sequenced by the Cirklon and the Euro is doing all the synthesis. The Cirklon is also manually sending via MIDI to a reverb and a delay in my DAW."

"I haven't uploaded any live synth jams in ages and initially when I sat down I was going to make a video of some of my personal patches on the Rev 2 since it is partially to blame for me not getting anything 'done'.
I wanted to experiment with the split mode since it was something I had'n explored yet and made a couple unison patches to try it out. Both of these (as vanilla as they are) were made from scratch. I didn't use any eternal processing except limiting which I applied in Cubase. All the effects are from the Rev 2.
This may be my favourite synth of all time & I love it so much that I'm actually considering selling my Prophet 6 since this has 61 keys and in my opinion sounds closer to the Prophet 5 than the 6 does. Sure, its not quite as large sounding but having so much modulation make's it pretty easy to make a patch sound alive and thats something I'm very fond of.
This was sloppy & quick but I felt I had to share something. I really really really love this synth and I hope that they're some other users out there that might be interested in some of the patches I've made. I'll definitely send them out to people for free once I make a video to showcase them! Have a great weekend"

"This Korg MS-20 mini is in excellent condition and sounds absolutely stunning! It was my first synthesizer and truly taught me the wonders of analog synthesis with its semi-modular patchbay. This mono synth is great for leads, excels at bass, makes very interesting ambient sounds, and has killer white noise. The filters sound uniquely Korg, both HF and LF having resonance of their own to push the limits of sound design. The keys themselves have seen little play and are in fantastic shape as I either sequenced this machine via Ableton Live over USB or from my Analog Four via CV.

"Every sound in this song was made on the Roland SH-101. In this episode of 'The Grid' I feature the SH-101 playing various different instruments including kick, snare, hi-hat, bass, leads, pads, etc. The mini composition is called 'Yellow Birch'."
"MITØ (derived frøm "mitøsis") is a 6 channel trigger sequencer that specializes in swingin', divide'n, n' pølyrhythm'n. With the turn øf a knøb, the user can select which divisiøn øf the incøming cløck (BANG!) is øutput frøm the cørrespønding jack (all the way left: divide by 16, all the way right: divide by 1). Each channel is equipped with it's øwn mute switch, alløwing the user tø turn each individual sequence øn and øff while øther channels keep chuggin' and cløckin' aløng. Gløbal swing can be cøntrølled with the amøeba knøb in the tøp right hand cørner øf the mødule. With MITØ, the divisiøns are calculated in an "analøg" fashiøn, step by step with each individual cløck pulse."
