This is a Vintage Analog Monophonic/Polyphonic Synthesizer.
Features LFO with three selectable waves, aftertouch, that classic/famous Moog filter, filter and amp envelopes
attack, decay, release and sustain.
The Liberation features two monophonic voltage controlled oscillators and a polyphonic section that can play poly synth / organ sounds. Both oscillators can be set to triangle, sawtooth, or square waveforms and switched over a 3-octave range. The keyboard is aftertouch-sensitive and the neck features spring-loaded wheels for filter cutoff, modulation, and volume, as well as a ribbon controlled pitch bend. The Liberation has a single voltage-controlled filter and 2 ADSR envelope generators. A 40-foot cable connects the Liberation to its rack mounted half which houses the power supply and cv/gate output sockets.
This Moog Liberation synthesizer is in fairly good condition for its age. It does have surface wear like some scratches, and scuffs, but the keys are in great condition.
All functions and keys seem to respond as they should with one exception - The green volume slider cap is missing for Oscillator 1, and the volume slider only works when you set it in the near full on position, which may not be a big problem, but the volume slider fader for Oscillator 1 is showing signs of wear.
The ribbon controller, switches and wheels on the handle all seem to function fine.

"This is the Rogue used by the progressive rock band ASTRA. It has toured Europe and can be heard on all of the albums. I am parting ways with it as the bands drummer and original owner of this amazingly robust synth. It is fully functional though the sliders could use a thorough cleaning. Included is the power supply and anvil road case."
These usually have colored sliders and knobs. It looks pretty cool in all black.

What's unique about this 800DV is that it has hardware from what seems to match the Korg 770. I don't know of any other 800DV out there quite like this one.
There is some wear on the face, but not severe.
Takes a few minutes for tuning to stabilize while synth warms up, but after that it's good to go.
Here's a rare opportunity for a serviced 800DV with extremely useful socket modification.

"I have some new tools in the arsenal that I'm beginning to explore, including the Elektron Machinedrum UW and the DSI MoPho, in adddition to the usual suspects of the Roland Tr-8, Novation Circuit, and Korg Electribe SX. In this video, the TR-8 is the master clock and provides hats, snare and ride, The Circuit is sequencing the MoPho plus adding some percucssion sounds and one layer of the kick, the Machinedrum is providing kick, hat, and some other percussion, and the Korg ESX is providing a layer of gritty percussion. Effects are from the Mackie ProFX12 mixer and the Zoom m50g pedal. I'll be investigating the mopho and machinedrum more in future videos, as I'm incredibly happy with the way those two sound right now. Thanks for watching!"

"The Polivoks Filter, from Elta Music, utilizes the classic Soviet filter chip for a unique and iconic filter tone. It provides both CV and Expression pedal inputs, built in LFO, and WOB fader for ultimate control. On board LFO has a fast/slow range switch, and on/off. Separate LFO OUT can be used to control external CV devices. With lowpass, bandpass, highpass, and notch filter types, one can shape tones into whole new realms. "With this patch I try to use the Moog Mother 32 (Analog semi modular mono synth with sequencer) like a very lofi Drum Machine.
The key of this kind of patch is to use the Kb output to modulate the mixer between Vco and the noise . Like that, when you play the bass note on the key , the mixer will play the vco and will do a sort of kick, with the medium note we will have a "snare" with the vco and noise in same time and with the higher note we will have a kind of Hi-Hat.
No effect here, only one take of the synthesizer."
SO WHAT'S NEW ? Expressive E is making a step further with the hardware presets. The new presets are based on the factory presets from a selection of modern synthesisers, and now feature full parameter mapping instead of just CC renaming, making the experience even more plug-and play than before.
"In this video I pair the Expressive E Touche controller with a eurorack modular. I'm using the 4 CV outputs on the back of the Touche to modulate various parameters like the LFO speed on the Make Noise Maths and the various parameters of the Make Noise Morphagene. I also turn the Touche into a gate generator using Maths.
The basic patch involves a Z3000 oscillator (TipTop Audio) run through the Fold Processor and Z2040 filter. The Z8000 sequencer is run through a Quantizer and everything is controlled by the Make Noise Tempi which triggers the Z8000 and a Z4000 ADSR envelope generator."

"Over 10 years ago a band called 'Casiokids' from my hometown made an album called 'Fück Midi'. One of the songs of the album was a demo thing from an old Casio keyboard. Of course I had to make an ALL-MIDI controlled cover of that song.

Towards the end there several drop outs related to touching some parts of the LFO section. I do not know why this happened but I will keep an eye on it!!"

Serviced for us by an experienced synth tech. Has had minor components and sliders replaced as needed. It currently is without speakers - we are looking into fitting suitable replacements.
Extensively tested - all features and functions are working as they should (as with much vintage gear some crackle is possible from sliders especially if the unit has not been used for while, but this should clear with use).
Tolex/case has some wear, scuffs and dings; face in very good condition. See the detailed photos for more information."

64 patches and 64 sequences that completely take over your SH-01a into INHALT approved territory. We scrutinized every parameter in Roland's new Boutique and tamed the digital nature (when necessary) towards the genuine 101 tone, and played it up when taking advantage of the new features like polyphony. The SH-01a definitely delivers the goods when it comes to those famous flat 101 bass lines but, in the 4 voice polyphonic mode, leads to results that remind us of our beloved Jupiter 4 and Juno 60. That was shocking at first, but with the added fast LFO mode, it lead to the groundwork of the many famous klangy and FM-like Jupiter 4 sounds.
This download kidnaps the Boutique and will overwrite all of the internal factory patches and sequneces but because Roland have made patch dumps super easy to back up (copy to your desktop n done), it's easy to pick and choose what you want loaded on the SH-01a. We've done our best to provide a wide assortment of sounds and sequences that we hope will inspire and lead to finished songs that embody that classic Roland sound. In our studio it definitely has from the moment it got the Tr 808 trigger input ..."

Expressive E is adding new third-party plug-ins to the list of software presets for Touché. Already included were Native Instruments Massive, Prism, and Razor, and Lennar Digital Sylenth1. This update brings new presets for Native Instruments Monark, U-He Diva, Reveal Sound Spire, KV331 Synthmaster, and Arturia Mini V, SEM V and ARP 2600.
Touché and Lié ships with a great number of sounds tailor-made from scratch for Touché. With Lié 1.2 Expressive E adds 50 new presets to the list, all ready to be played out of the box with the bundled player UVI Workstation.
