"From 1 August - 31 August Control will be presenting Con-Mythology in a special exhibition to honor the life and work of Conrad Schnitzler. The show will illuminate the unique relationship that Conrad Schnitzler had with the physical world, from which he decisively broke in the late 60s. In a stroke of liberation, Schnitzler halted his sculpture practice (studied under Joseph Beuys), and dragged his oblong, metal forms one by one to a field in Berlin, abandoning them there. The fate of the sculpture works, poignant pop-industrial beacons of black & white painted metal rods and planes, is unknown. They were free to be picked over by passersby, or to sink into the earth, detritus of a prolific artist's creative process. Schnitzler dedicated himself entirely to the exploration of sound from that point on, yet curiously Conrad Schnitzler’s physical presence remained an almost sculptural manifestation. This photographic exhibit will display the only known images of Conr ad Schnitzler's now lost sculptures amid images and footage of the artist himself, to reveal Conrad's intricate tension between the folds of visuality and aurality.

Off screen there's an Arturia Minibrute (hacked SE firmware) providing the basic sequence, which is being modulated by the Multistage, and a Strymon BigSky adding a bit of (over the top) reverb. Audio is going straight into the camera so not perfect."

"I composed this piece by designing software [Max for Live] to 'degrade' patches in the the Yamaha TX81Z. The degradation process occurs as shuffled parameters in the synth are randomized at a specified pace. The degradation can be interrupted at any moment by the performer. This excerpt stacks two layers of the process with some panning and reverb to add ambience."

This cover version is a mixture of the both the original version and JAIA's Express Remix - with a few of my own additions thrown in.
The song was performed using only analog synthesizers, either played live or sequenced. The performance was recorded directly from the mixer to a stereo track and later mixed together with the ambience from the room. A few mistakes have been cut out and replaced with the audio from a rehearsal take.

The Shock Electronix Modatron EsQu-One Step Sequencer is our Eurorack conversion of the super compact and highly versatile Korg SQ-1 Step Sequencer.
As standard, the Korg SQ-1 is a compact step sequencer with 2 x 8 steps. It's wealth of connection jacks allows it to be integrated with a Eurorack System, connected to the MS-20, and a variety of other synthesizers.
Vintage analog synths or the latest compact synths can be controlled from this single unit. You can also switch between a variety of synthesizer modes and use the step buttons to create performances overflowing with spontaneity.
As a descendant of the SQ-10, and just like the SQ-1, the EsQu-One supports the Hz/V standard, enabling it to perfectly control the MS-20 or MS-20 mini. "Gradually escallating demo of the elektron machinedrum through the chimaera. Distortion kicks in about half way through.
The distortion placed after the filter in the fx chain makes it a killer on low frequencies, as is diplayed in the vid with an 808 type kick with long decay grinding up the rest of the elements in the loop. The delay can create some cool syncopation too. This thing loves ripping up drum patterns. It reminds me of the NIN album year zero in places. The great destroyer :)"

"Gradually escallating demo of the tt-303 through the chimaera. Distortion kicks in about a third of the way in.
It makes a good 303 distortion with it's own resonant filter placed before the distortion. The delay makes it sound reminiscent of propellerhead rebirth. It can pull off some strange dub effects with the delay which work well with a loop like this, as can be heard in the vid.

No programming is required.
