"Emu E-drum Drum Synth, Clavia Edrum, with 4 8-bit Drum Cartridges

Up for auction is a vintage 80s Emu E-drum in working condition and includes 4 Emu/Clavia 8-bit E-drum cartridges (names of cartridges below), and original mounting hardware.

The E-drum was actually developed by Clavia DMI in Sweden, and provided drummers with a single, touch-sensitive pad drum module that offered 40dB of volume range with internal sounds generated from a removable cartridge (containing from one to four 8-bit samples on a 16kB EPROM). A variety of different sound cartridges could be purchased and interchanged in the E-drum, and an optional hardware assembly allowed modular construction of entire drum kits.

This Emu E-drum includes a pitch control, which tunes the pitch either up, down, or no effect (middle position). There is also a Decay control for the triggered 8-bit sound as well as a very warm sounding Treble and Bass controls. The E-drum can be triggered by striking the rubber head on the drum or providing a ¼” triggered input. The E-drum can be powered by two 9v batteries (internal), or can be powered by an 18v DC adapter with an 1/8” plug.

The Emu E-drum in this auction is confirmed working; trigger drum pad, knobs, and output are all confirmed working properly. Output is strong and clean and can be heard in the demo mp3 posted in the link below.

4 Emu E-Drum/Clavia Original Cartridges are included with the Emu E-drum in this auction:

· Grand Piano
· Tom 1
· Rototom 2
· Marimba

Mobile Music Making Seminar - Day 4

Published on Aug 4, 2013 Appmusik - Musikmachen mit Apps·8 videos

"Fourth day of the international App Music Seminar: We were preparing the little concert presentation at c-base (http://c-base.org) on friday. We produced a lot of samples and tried to play them in a collectiv improvisation. Andre was working on his self developed music app. Lukasz tried some video apps for some visualisations - looks very good.

The 'App Music' seminar is a composition and sound workshop in the form of an experimental laboratory; a creative space to explore music and make new discoveries. Participants are investigat perspectives and potential of "app music" through a collective 'learning by doing' approach.

Braids, Robotto, Ripples, Wogglebug, Tame Machine messing about... from Equinoxoz music solutions on Vimeo.

"Just a little jam around with the Mutable Instruments Braids, Sound Machines Robotto, Flame Tame Machine and MakeNoise Wogglebug.

The Braids is in Sync mode and the pitch is being sequenced by the Tame Machines output. The Tame is getting the CV for the sequence from the Wogglebugs Stepped output attenuated through a Pittsburgh Mixer.

Robotto is playing along with the same sequence that braids is getting but attenuated more to limit the range down.

Both braids and Robotto go to a Manhattan Mix and then to the Modcan Dual Delay. The pulses clocking Robotto are going through the Doepfer A166 Logic Module.

The kick drum is the Mutable Instruments Ripples in self oscillation which is simultaneously having its Frequency swept and onboard VCA opened by the Pittsburgh ADSR module.

The Hats are the TTA HATS808, these are also going to the MA Mix, the pulse they are being fed goes from the CLOQ to a Dual Index VCA which is being opened by the same Pittsburgh ADSR that is making the kick drum.

Whole patch is being clocked by a Promodular CLOQ and CEX combo.

Nothing too serious just fiddling around mainly.

Braids is also set at 12bit 96khz."

"Two Korg Monotribe Analog Synthesizers (with built in sequencers) slaved together for dual sequencer madness through a analog delay pedal (digital emulation). Since I couldn't find any examples of the Monotribe doing 1970's style Berlin School sequences, I decided to post an example for anyone thinking of buying one or more for making old school electronic music.... Enjoy. Sound is through the on camera mic and not so clear."

MOOG TAURUS 2 ANALOG SYNTH with Moog Gig Bag

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

"This Taurus 2 brain comes complete with the original leather style Moog logo bag, the original full printed manual, and a UK power supply.

Having the manual is invaluable since it includes all the connector details to slave up the Taurus to your analog controller keyboard, MIDI-to-CV convertor, analog modular system, computer via a USB to MIDI and MIDI to CV convertor, remote keyboard (such as the Moog Liberation if you have one) or anything else.

Having the leather style Moog logo bag is also invaluable since it makes you look cool as you arrive for your session or gig...

Here's a demo by my good friend Jorge Cortes showing all the possibilities of a Taurus 2 slaved to a MIDI keyboard and MIDI-to-CV convertor, but note that, since it has an Envelope Bypass mode, you can make sounds with the Taurus and use it as a filter processor without needing to slave it to anything."

Moog Taurus II - An Audio Demo

Published on Apr 6, 2013 thainmlh·50 videos

"I wasn't really able to locate a demo of the Moog Taurus II on YouTube back when I was considering getting one... So now that I have it, here is a demo. Hopefully this helps others interesting in this somewhat maligned Moog (people claim the original Taurus sounds better...I say it just sounds different. It does offer a bit more control than the original.) The sound engine is definitely identical to the Moog "The Rogue" keyboard, which I also own. NOTE: This was an attempt to show what it sounds like and not a musical statement. Two of the pedals were out of alignment (since fixed) so there are a few out of tune notes and a few note that failed to trigger.
The recording includes a little delay (400ms) enrich the sound a little."

GLIGLI Teensy++ CPU SEQUENTIAL CIRCUITS PROPHET 600

via this auction

via the listing (link to audio demos below): "This monster has also just been outfitted with the new and super secret, highly classified GLIGLI Teensy++ CPU and firmware upgrade, which basically makes it better than a Prophet 5!!! I'm Including links and samples of the mod, but it unlocks the true potential of the Prophet. This is the forst and only GLIGLI equipped 600 on the market! The 600 is one of my absolute favorite synths of all time. It is just mean and big and powerful and NASTY! It is so versatile, unique and relatively inexpensive, I have no idea why you would buy a prophet 5. Wicked filters, poly-mod, (like cross mod on a korg mono/poly, -my other fave synth) and 100 patch memory and midi; this beast has it all. HUGE pads, SEARING leads (especially when in unison), and earth shaking basses. WOW. With the upgrades? WOW WOW."

The upgrade features:
Non-destructive firmware drop-in replacement of the new firmware.
Greater resolution of many of the sound parameters with an improved refresh rate that is making the instrument much more responsive.
Faster, smoother amplifier and filter envelope generators supporting four different modes:
Fast Linear
Slow Linear
Fast Exponential
Slow Exponential
A new LFO function generator with a wider range from one cycle every to about 60Hz with four new waveforms in addition to the original triangle and square including sine, random stepped, noise (like on the original Prophet 5, but non-periodic) and sawtooth (ramp up)
Multiple keyboard modes including:
Poly first note priority
Unison (all voice) Hi-key priority
Unison (all voice) Low-key priority
Solo (one voice) Hi-key priority
Solo (one voice) Low-key priority
Mix Overdrive which now allows the output from both oscillators to drive the mix
Pitch Wheel interval selection of plus/minus one octave, a minor third and a fifth
Pitch Wheel reassignment to the VCF and Volume or off
Modulation wheel intensity setting from Maximum to Medium to Minimum
Full Midi In control including:
Amp and Filter velocity sensitivity with an external keyboard controller
Continuous Controllers (CC) of all sound parameters
Program change (PC) to choose current preset
A new and improved tuning procedure
Chromatic and free Oscillator course pitch control
Plus/Minus setting for Oscillator Fine Tune and Filter Envelope amount for Poly Mod and Filter
Assignable, Random And Up/Down Arpeggiator
Debounce feature that prevents unintended retriggering caused by the old keyboard

Started as a simple 16 step sequence on ch 1, kick triggered from ch2, kick fill ch3 (could of used ch2 for this and used the jump feature) And ch 3 is a high hat pattern thing. I bring the sequences in then edit them on the fly, going wonky and altering the timing of the steps etc. Main thing is adding and changing loop points as it plays."

in the beginning the ADSR is set to ADSR mode, with attack (A) and decay (D) set full CW. speed range high.
set it to LFO mode and turn the sustain fully CCW to start the oscillation.
i then turn the A & D counterclockwise to approx 9'o'clock and change the speed range to mid, then to low. it even works with A & D fully CCW, however, this might not be useful anyways.
