Additonal Selected Tracks From Synthesizers

"Penetrate" by Mister 1-2-3-4

video upload by Mister 1-2-3-4

New track from supporting member, Mister 1-2-3-4.

"There are some who seek to penetrate the secrets of our world...

Dedicated to Sumuru.

https://mr1234.bandcamp.com/track/pen..."

"Parts breakdown:

Kick, snare, and hi hat from a Vermona DRM1 Mark III. One of the DRM1's 'Drum' voices also created the 'woo-woo-woo' sound that comes in at about the 3-minute mark.

The stern, crunchy stabs are from an Arturia Minibrute running through a Boss XT-2 Xtortion pedal.

The warm pad that kicks off the track and then begins to pulse rhythmically comes from a Prophet 600 going through Arturia's 'Filter Mini' plugin, with the step sequencer modulating the cutoff frequency.

The house-y vamp, bassline, sine wave synth, and various other stabs and bleats are all from Korg's Minilogue.

Delays: Moogerfooger MF-104Z Analog Delay, Boss RE-20 Space Echo pedal, Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man, Boss PS-3 Pitch Shifter/Delay pedal

Reverbs: Vermona Retroverb and Tech 21 Boost R.V.B. pedal.

I also used Audio Thing's 'Speakers' plug-in to send the whole mix through a 60s telephone for a couple of measures.

Vocals by Sumuru.

Happy Holidays!
Mister 1-2-3-4"

Most of the synths are done with the Juno. Additional strings from ARP Omni-2. The 6-string bass is the Eastwood Hooky Pro 6. The drums are stock samples in the Cubase DAW.

Future House For Logic Pro X & Synthmaster 2

video upload by Igor Leus

"Buy Here - https://www.natlifesounds.com/product...
NatLife Sounds glad to present you Future House For Logic Pro X & Synthmaster 2.

Future House is a part of Expansions for Synthmaster 2/iOS, the library which fully focused on Bass sound and its varied recreations. If you looking concretely for bass - you are in the right place. As we all know the bass sound is the main thing of any House Music sub-genres.

We all know very well how difficult it is sometimes to create a suitable chain of Basslines. From high notes to very deep, it is very not fast to connect all this into a logical chain. That's why for this purpose, we present our Logic Pro X Templates. These are 4 Bass-Templates, that are maximally worked out at all levels, using which you can achieve new results very quickly, without unnecessary headaches.

Plus to the all we used only Logic's native Drum plugins for creating stunning rhythms. Overall you will have 22 Synthmaster Basses and 14 Drum Tracks in one project. And its color-separated into 4 different tracks.

Soundpack contains:

51 Synthmaster 2/iOS Presets
4 Logic Pro X Templates (in one project!)
14 Drum Tracks"

Octave Plateau Voyetra Eight 8 Voice Analog Synth

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

"The Octave Plateau Voyetra Eight is one of the rarest and most sought after polyphonic analog synths ever made for good reason. These synths sound amazing. In my opinion it is the thickest and creamiest poly I've ever used and I've owned most of them. The design was way ahead of it's time and it's a shame Octave didn't produce more units which makes them incredibly rare. They pop up maybe once or twice a year for sale and get snatched up pretty quickly.

This V8 is in great shape. I have owned it for over 20 years and it has been in a rack all of that time. It was last serviced by Jeff Blenkinsopp who worked for Octave back in the day. The unit is working and sounding great. It will be very well packed because these units are heavy and delicate beasts."

"There is barely a mark on this and it plays without any issues. Pots could do with a clean to remove any scratchiness but its due for a service since it's been quite a while since the last one. One key is slightly more elevated than the others - a very easy fix apparently."

Rossum SP-1200 Now in Production

This one was spotted and sent in via Soviet Space Child.

via @rossumelectro "SP-1200 reissue units are in production!

How many Easter eggs can you spot on these circuit boards?

A continuation of Dave’s fifty-year tradition of instruments made to last, the Rossum SP-1200 reissue is expertly engineered by its original designer for decades of reliability and is built locally in the United States. Assembling and testing the instruments in close proximity to Rossum’s California headquarters allows for SP-1200’s sonic character to be delivered according to the most exacting quality standards.

On the rear of the main circuit board, users will find dedicated, balanced jacks for all filtered and unfiltered channel outputs as well as the mix output and a new sample input monitor feature.

Throughout the process of creating the SP-1200 reissue, Dave was delighted that with very few exceptions, authentic components exactly the same as those found in the vintage classic instrument could be used throughout and took great care to maintain the classic SP-12 and SP-1200 circuit board layouts. Inside and out, SP-1200 is faithful to the original operation and preserves the coveted, authentic sound and character of the classic vintage instrument. Through this labor of love, Dave was able to create an instrument that should sound exactly the same even to the most discerning ears."

Loumavox : the Forgotten Synthesizer

video upload by Loumavox

Featuring Jean-Michel Jarre.

"Discovery of a forgotten synthesizer!
Students from the agricultural high school in Courcelles-Chaussy (France) discovered by chance a synthesizer from the 1960s. They went in search of Louise and Marc Voksinski [Wolzinski], the genius creators of this machine. During their investigation the high school students will cross paths with Jean Michel Jarre. The documentary produced as part of a video workshop turns into an exceptional dive into the world of electronic music."

Door #17: Sind die Lichter angezündet (When The Lights Are Lit) - Synthmas '21

video upload by Synthfluencer

"The song:
This song was the best known Christmas carol in the former GDR and also named a Christmas album that was played in almost every family on Christmas eve. The text written as a poem contains all the ingredients for a typical Christmas celebration: The lights, a tree, gifts, joy and peace.

The gear:
What else can I use for this arrangement than the Vermona stack: Vermona Synthesizer and Piano Strings. Both instruments have been made by VEB Klingenthaler Harmonikawerke, a large instrument manufacturer of the former GDR based in Klingenthal/ Saxony. More than 3.000 employees produced accordions branded "Weltmeister" and later electronic organs and synthesizers under the brand Vermona until 1990. Today the brand name Vermona lives on hold by the company HDB electronic that still produces high quality electronic instruments.

The synthesizers lead voice is routed through a TC Flashback unit adding it's wonderful Mod Delay effect. The Piano Strings goes through a Zoom MS-70 CDR end is enriched with a stereo delay and a very neat Small Stone Phaser simulation. You see in other videos on my channel the Vermona Phaser 80, but in this case I preferred the silky dreamy Jean-Michel-Jarre-signature sound of the Small Stone over the harsh Vermona phaser. Here I compare the sound of the effect units: https://youtu.be/yraACszuvAA

Vermona Synthesizer is controlled via MIDI (I built in a VS MIDI device some time ago, video showing that will follow) and play the Piano Strings by hand cause it's lack of any external control input.

"E-MU Systems EMAX I SE HD Rackmount Sampler. Factory HD version upgraded to SE. Internally mounted SCSI2SD board with 8GB SD card capable of holding nearly 160 banks in the floppy drive slot. Comes loaded with many custom and factory library sounds I will include download links for entire Emax library as well.

Analog and Digital Boards have been recapped. New power supply Everything works great and sounds amazing! 12 bit character and true analog filters.

System boots up in seconds from SD card. Banks save and load nearly instantaneously. The HD advantage is huge over standard floppy or Gotek systems as every function of the unit is faster and more responsive.

Display has been updated to a beautiful new white OLED display. Sadly pictures can't do justice to the quality of the OLED. Everything works as it should. Incredible sounding sampler with analog processing. SE features provide deep synthesis."

SOUND RECORDING - Old synthesizer

video upload by Woodlark Studio

This is the first post on the site to feature one. What is it?

Let’s explore frequency shifting – with the Doepfer A126-2

video upload by Monotrail Tech Talk

"Today we are diving into frequency shifting with the new Doepfer A-126-2 Frequency Shifter! Frequency shifting isn’t one of the most common effects, but it offers a lot of creative sound design options and patching possibilities. You can add textures and effects to synth lines, modulate or create percussive sounds, or just try and experiment with the frequency shifter in FM patches and feedback loops.

In this video I quickly explain the difference between pitch and frequency shifting, go over the functions and features of the A-126-2, and then start exploring some sounds with a series of patch ideas.

Thanks to Doepfer for sponsoring this video! - https://doepfer.de * Manufacturers have no saying over the content of my videos. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Moog Matriarch // Cosmic Jazz Shimmer PATCH

video upload by Dexba

"Sometimes I feel like I am completely missing the point with some synths.
Using filters just to ping them, a TD-3 with a closed cutoff, a Sequential PRO3 with no modulation, a Matriarch with slow attach, and no patch cable.

THIS IS NOT THE TIME. This time I went all-in with the patch cables and what the Moog Matriarch could offer me.
I got the stereo. I got that modulated by another modulation, I got the delay sync'ed but also modulated and as a source of modulation FOR THE OTHER MODULATIONS!

What I got is a sometimes shimmer-y, sometimes jazz-y, sometimes just like a sequence random but lovable, a tool for HOURS of enjoyment, sampling, and getting lost with other external effects.
Here you'll see "just" a plain reverb, but imagine adding another delay, pitch-shifting stuff, choruses, or who knows what!
I am very proud of what I've done, and I was eager to share it with you all 💝
Enjoy ✨"

V.A.I. - Elka Drummer One Comparison

video upload by Vintage Audio Institute Italia

Part 2 here

"We have two Elka Drummer One drum machines in the studio and realised they sounded quite different.
The individual sounds are the same but with various variations in timbre and pitch, some of the rhythm patterns were different too.
We opened them up and saw that they looked a bit different inside, the circuit boards seemed to have been replaced at some point of the production run, quite normal for drum machines of the era.
We tweaked the trim pots until we thought each machine sounded as good as it could and then made this video.
There's a very important trim pot of the power supply on the top machine that changes the over all pitch and brightness of all sounds, one could for sure go deeper in to changing components etc to further optimise the drum sounds but bottom line is that these machines can sound better or worse, depending on ones preferences.

Vintage Audio Institute is a gear vendor and recording facility in Florence, follow us on here for more videos if you like what you see."
